I trust more on what I’m seeing myself.
I wonder how many of those who saw him from the waist down have always used Freak as their main figure or have spend years trying to get a big muscle character without success. It wouldn’t surprise me they found him nice because they got him for free and don't even plan to use him any more than what I use Aiko 4 myself.
Sorry, but not many people use Freak enough to make me feel confident after what I already saw.
But being ♥positive♥, maybe the fact he sucks from the waist up means they spend the time on tweaking the horrible legs and just copy/paste F4 for the rest when they got bored. I wouldn't mind getting the F4.2 base just for a leg fix, so maybe not everything is a complete waste.
If you wanted to offend me, now you've just done it. For someone that have made products, including morphs for F4, I know exactly what I'm looking at. You absolutely don't know what you're talking about, and you're being offensive while you're doing it. I don't appreciate someone looking at something THAT isn't the whole thing just running their trap about something they don't know. You may render stuff, but your expertise stops there. Time you should know that.

Although the just released tweens in my folder are a much earlier number: 15661.

Well a few months ago I wasn't interested all that much in an A5 release. But after months of releases I don't care for (teens, horses, etc) I could use something fresh. I only hope she gets a killer collection of gear and poses to go along with it. Can use more quality Anime inspired content.

Looks *very* good. And plenty there that can be used on other characters as well.

Although I won't be picking him up until the PC monthly coupon is issued. Not unless we get one of those silly buy today or miss the offer thingies. There are a few things left over that the coupon could go for if they pull that.
Wow - his bundles are a great deal. He is definitely different from the F4 morph for Genesis - love some of the clothes and accessories. Love it all!
Ugh. No Legacy installer. Yep. That's a purchase I won't be making for the foreseeable future. :/
That said, F5 does look great and offers something different from being just a rehash of F4. Much more detail and ripped, and a different option for Hulk sculpts. This one looks better for the "Professor" Hulk of the 90's (though I think Smay's Hyde is still better for the Savage and Gray Hulk).
And I chuckled at the John Cena look-alike face. :D
Well I guess the secrets out they haven't put up all the F5 stuff in the store. Here's my two. Both are morphs plus clothing and Hair sets all inclusive. The gloves are off !!!

I did convert one of my old personal characters from F4 to F5. I thought I was going be stuck with the genesis shape of F4 then I saw F5.... and I had to get him converted! Good thing I got Santo M5 in the store first... here's my guy wearing a new chest and arm hair in santo M5.
I'm afraid F5 will have to wait until I can use my Platinum coupon. Might go for the Pro bundle, if it's still the same price. Bet he'll look great in the Colonel Chaos outfit and the flattop. "I need a hero...."
I'm about to post promo's and I hope other vendors will start doing it to, just to give you some idea of what's coming. It's been released so there should be no holding back on the advertising now.
I am not sure it will be the same price. There is currently a promo running in the store which gives a discount on DAZ originals (even on releases newer than 60 days) - the discount is 30 % for normal customers and 51% for PC members. It is labeled as "today only", which refers to yesterday, so I suppose it will end when DAZ employees come to work today. This might also be the reason why we cannot buy Freak 5 yet - it is likely not a bug in the store, it is set this way intentionally, so that we cannot buy him at such a steep discount. I think that when the store is fixed, he will be only 30% off (and people who got the discount e-mails will receive additional 10-15% discount).

FREAK SMASH DAZ SITE!
All the new stuff looks great...! I'm particularly interested in Pure Hair Fantasy and Barbarian Warlord (and Freak himself, I must admit, though earlier I stated that I didn't think I needed him). I do have the cash for it, but I'm saving it for March Madness because there are a bunch of PA products I've been waiting to get. I may pick up the Pro Bundle during some future sale. But it's very tempting, nonetheless...
I wonder if DAZ is experimenting with some new pricing strategies? The Young Teens were cheaper than I expected, and Freak's prices seem to be in line with them, if not even lower once all discounts are taken into consideration. Maybe those "glitch sales" from last fall netted them a ton of revenue...?
I am curious if the Freak has Texas Toast or because of steroids more like Rhode Island Toast?
(Actually not wondering at all. For all I care he could have no toast, maybe just a biscuit)

I think the realization has come that, ultimately, all of the Gen 5 figures are simply highly customized morphs of the main Genesis figure, and that the real value of the new shapes is the extras that come with them. After all, I already have the Freak 3 and 4 shapes for Genesis, so dialing in an approximation of Freak 5 isn't that hard. It's just all the nifty new costumes and textures that really make the character attractive.
