There's definitely some Sil influence there already with the spiked spine. Huge Giger fan of course, so I kind of threw a mix of different references in there, including the Li paintings.
I'll definitely consider doing some add-ons since it seems like there is some demand for it. I have to wrap up on a few other things first. I didn't realize this character would be so popular being one of the Zelara add-ons rather than part of the bundle. So, that's a nice surprise as a content artist.
You've given me an idea I'd like to try...
...Why not load several copies of the EasyPose tail from "Swam's" free Alien figure and parent them to themodel's head? If they seem too long, maybe "hide" about half of the segments, from the "base" to roughly midway.
Sincerely,
Bill
with this one I added the tail from Midnight Skeleton Anatomy Pack and sort of managed to change use the texture from her spines though in a couple places it was a bright blue so not perfect but in the render the colour changed again perhaps the lighting? Used the no breasts remove breasts morph forget which morph pack that is from and for the eyes used sphere primitives and gave them mirror shaders - in the very first version of a certain acid blooded xeno it had eyes and almost human face

Josh, I want to remind you of past proposals for doing an horrorific harpy or a creepy werevulture

Swidhelm's, you mean? That was created way before the Iray era, to say the least!
Yes, Swidhelm, sorry about that. (How the *(&%^! did I come up with that?!)
Are you saying it won't load because it's not Iray?
Sincerely,
Bill
It loads! Just doesn't look right when fitted directly to a native-designed Iray product.
product suggesions - insect alien along the look of a praying mantis
product suggesions - shark head creatures, kind of an hammer headed sea demon.
I don't know if it's been said before, but a mannequin type monster from Silent Hill.
I was always freaked out by these.
Oh, now is the time to be thinking Halloween monsters
NW is the time? NorthWest is? What about North By NorthWest?
Gets chased out of the thread by a rampaging cropduster plane....
NW?
Now forgot the O, which there is a whole lurid story of.
Oops...
I think I now own two of Josh's works. I do not know why I took so long to get to this point. Hopefully if I like these two more will join my content folder soon. Now to start playing with my new Josh characters!
he has a lot of great ones and his textures are pretty cool
Pumpkin Head
Raw Head Rex
Hey, Josh! Ever consider doing your own fantasy animal races? Nothing horror, perse but more fantasy like a lion man or lizard man.
I would also love to see you do something.... dare I say this.... cute? *(The crowd gasps. "I know, right?")
Also, I would love to see YOUR work with the new Daz Dog 8 as well. :)
Also, I would love to see your version of the goblin depicted in this thread.

YES! THIS! :)
Dear Crockett,
I would love more female monsters, like goblin, imps, and so on. Creepy and eerie and still whimsical. Or more "little folks" type of creatures.
Tony Diterlizzi is an artist who worked on Planescape and Spiderwicks products, he may be a good inspiration. His female creatures are not "sexy pinup hollywood canon". They may be monstruous at time but still have a somewhat feminine feel.
Also, a creature could be "ugly" or inhumane and still be kind, it would crea
I would love a Momma Goblin with a rolling pin along with baby goblettes running around her feet.
Thanks for the heads up guys. Liking these references.
Dog is still in the plans...
Raw could be fun to do a take on... Pumpkinhead I feel is overdone though I love the design
Youre probably right. I can totally see his influence in some of your designs.
