Great! No I like the Gen 4 better, until they get the super suit or something that will work for the trek uniforms I'm waiting still. Can't wait they look great! Thanks :)

I really wish the default pose for figures was arms down, and that's how the UV map was configured, so you didn't get that stretch at the shoulders.

The Viands of Minara---them's good eatin's!

Hexagon just might drive me mad.

    UV-mapping might drive me mad.

And getting it all to work as a posable figure in Poser just might drive me mad.

At this point in time, the probability of going mad exceeds 50%.

Good gravy, Bluto! You've been going to town with those morphs! I really get a kick from' those "old school" Talosians and Vians.

Well, I shouldn't be surprised. You really knocked it out of the ball park with your "false" Balok. That thing was so close to Wah Chang's puppet sculpture it's unnerving.

Using that freeware "virtual clay" modeling tool, I bet you could shape a classic Chang styled Gorn head that would put the "WiP" I got from XCalPro to shame!

    Sincerely,

    Bill

    Methinks I hear a hint.

Although now that you mention it, I'd like a good Gorn figure myself. [grin]

With the "WiP", I'm in pretty good shape, but XCalPro is not too keen upon its general distribution. At least he wasn't at the time he let me experiment with it. It's possible he might have changed his mind by now, especially since he has shelved his Trek based game within which he would have used the Gorn model.

I just think it would be cool for anyone to have a Gorn head prop available to them should they have a need for it. And a head prop could be used upon a user's favorite figure.

And given what Bluto accomplished with the Balok head, I believe he's someone who can really capture the essence of the Wah Chang original.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

The Vian and the Talosian look great! I will give you a tip on the Talosian though. If you want it to look right, start with a female base. All the talosians were played by actresses. :)

Great work, bluto! You are a credit to computer artists and Trekkers everywhere!

believe it or not the telosian is v4 morph.
i remembered reading an artical about the cage some years ago.
it stated that rodenberry wanted little old ladies to be the telosiand so that they had a thin and frail fook to them

this is so that those pesky vians have the equiptment to provoke emotinal responces

Of course. Every biological experimenter needs sample jars.

I'm about 80-90% done. Some finicky touches left that probably no one but me will notice, and then I can go on with my main project. It's been . . . educational.

But I apparently need to show you later, because right now, I can't seem to upload an image file. It keeps trying to upload a zip file of the image instead. :-S

Edited: Okay, I don't know what was broken, but rebooting the browser seems to have fixed it.

They still play hockey? Kidding. I'm a die hard Flames fan since Calgary acquired the Flames from Atlanta.
One of the most memorable days of my childhood...went to a pres-screening of Star Trek TMP hosted by Gene, and then taken to a Hockey game that evening.

Yet another in my long line of "Works-In-Progress"...

    COLONEL KIRA NERYS!

This one was a toughie in terms of getting a good likeness. The V4 Morphs++ just weren't enough. I had to get i13's Bone Structure from Renderosity to get the chin right. The nose ridges are a displacement map.

    Thank you.

I wonder if PDSmith needs the "Intendant" for his Mirror Universe stories?

I think I killed off all the Bajorans though Genocide. But thank you. Maybe a couple of survivors hear or there would be a good idea.
