...trying to play everything.. urgh. :bug:

I did that once. I was involved in a church at the time, and a choral group that sang along to background tapes wanted to do a certain Andre Crouch tune...but couldn't find a backup tape. The sound man for the church had a 4 track recording thingy, so I went in on two weekends and laid down the drums, bass, synthesizer and guitar tracks. It was fun! They loved it.

@DanaTA... be real careful with arborvitae, their branches are very easy to snap in the cold, the are very weak at the point where the branches fork. I used to have a small scale (1/2"= 1 scale foot) "special effects" town in my yard, it was populated by almost a hundred miniature trees, most of which were various species of arborvitae. Every time it would snow more than two inches or it would be icy snow, I had to go out and clean the whole town off... paying special attention to the arborvitaes I messed up quite a few trying to save them... over time I realized sometimes it was better to just remove some of the snow than to try and free up anything that was stuck.

Yeah, I whacked some of the ice off, then shook it a little. I am hoping they'll spring back in the sun tomorrow and Monday. That's a cool miniature set, there. I would have loved to do something like that when I was a kid...but didn't have any money.

Gaaahhhhhhh! I'm MAD AS HELL and I'm NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE!!!

The landlady went into my room and swapped out a bunch of furniture without telling or asking me! So I got home last night to a VERY different room!! I emailed a complaint and she says I should be happy, and by the way I should neaten my room up.

WTF?!?!?! She's trying to turn into my Mom! :blank: :blank:

She's always had this tendency to do things without considering the effect, normally it's not directly invasive but she's been getting worse and worse, then she sent an email out with MY NAME ON IT, as if I wrote it, looking for a housemate. FFS she didn't even apologize, just said she wouldn't do it again - as if forging an email from someone was perfectly reasonable!

Long story short: I'm selling off 90% of what I own and I'm going to find someplace else to live, preferably with a SANE landlord.

I was going to have to move anyway, she HAD arranged for me to move into the front house, but I don't want anything to do with her any more.

I'm still fuming about it all. geesh.. angry angry angry! :snake:

Well, it's a good excuse to get rid of accumulated stuff, focus on writing and art, and maybe move closer to the University so I can take some classes.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :snake: :snake:

...ugh. Here where I live, there must be a very good legal reason for a landlord to enter a tenant's place like seeing smoke coming out of the windows, noticing a putrid smell coming form the unit, or being a couple months in arrears on rent. Her actions would be considered unlawful breaking and entering. if she never gave you prior notice of her intent ( I actually used this against a corrupt apartment management company once and won). Unfortunately, Landlord-Tenant laws differ from state to state and even city to city so what applies in one place doesn't in another.

Anyway, that still really su¢k$ as your privacy was invaded without your knowledge or presence.

Us snakes take pride in the sanctity of our solitude.

Frank Zappa once released an album entitled Shut Up and Play Yer Guitar, advice that I wish the Nuge would take.
I always loved "Hibernation" from Tooth Fang & Claw.

The Ballad of Woolyloach and the Landlady

    On Woolyloach
    Landlady did encroach
    Upon his private space
And moved things out of place.

This he did not like, tho
    It made him nearly psycho
    And plan to relocate
    The next convenient date.

Next comes the sale of things
    His Gear Lust always brings
For when it comes to stuff
    He never has enough.

So we will have to wait
    'Til Wooly can relate
    Just what happens next
    To leave him sorely vexed.

W00t great work! :cheese:

Any day when I can stick Mike in a dress and wig, and have him attacked by a T-Rex, is a decent day! :snake:

It's dead quiet and raining, I partied hardy last night and had WAY more fun than is allowed by law in Texas (heh), and today I'm relaxing with hot coffee, some chicken to cook, and pizza for lunch.

Next week I start selling stuff and looking for a new place. :) I just need to get a hardshell case for my Strat, which is coming with me. My entire recording studio fits in one corner of my rolling suitcase (!!) so it's coming with me, too. My writing is mainly on my Google Drive and I have y writing software installed on 2 machines now, I'm getting ready to back up all my 2D/3D assets and computer music software to my external drive, so when the time comes I'll have one suitcase, one backpack, and my Strat to move. I might sell off the 21in monitor and get something else, no decision there yet.

I'm in a decent mood, nothing to complain about except how Mike *hates* getting stuck in a dress, it was a real fight! :bug:

*edit* Bah, I finally bought an M4 Crossdresser license! Maybe Mike will be more submissive now... :snake:

Ooooh, he's a cutie!

I'm actually using ALL of my 3D tools now - Poser Pro 2012, DS4.5 Pro, Carrara 8.1, Bryce Pro 7.1.. the works! :bug: :gulp:

I find DS4.5 easier to do quick, silly thing in than PPro, at least for now. I'm still learning Poser, it's quite a complex beast! Cloth Room, Hair Room, Material Room, Walk Designer.. OMG! :ahhh: Lots to cram into my head. :blank: :smirk:
