Aloreea's Renders

So I've been writing a story for a few years now, and decided "why not post a few of my characters."

 

A quick description of my story: basically it's a sci fi story. The Story takes place in another galaxy that I actuallly forgot what I'd named. Anyways, There are probably 5 books that I've written, that come togther as a huge collective story that intertwine with each other.

 

I'll give a better background of what goes on in the story as I post.

 

EDIT: Nevermind XD, I'm just going to post my experiments and projects.

    This is the first character I found, her name is Nox.

    One of my friends created this character for me in a drawing she did a while back. So then I decided to make her in 3D.

    The pic on the left is my render, and the one on the right is my friend's drawing.

     

    Here's a bit about Nox

     

    Gender: Female

    Age: 100+ (appears 19)

    Hair Color: White with blue hue

    Eye Color: Red

    Species: phantom

    Height: 5' 6"

    Weight: Unknown

    Occupation: Princess, Rogue

    Abilities: Creating illusions

    Personality: Nox is a sly individual who has little care for life. She is the fourth child of the royal family and taking the throne was grim. Nox decided to become a rogue to make a name for herself. During the early years she trained in isolation, in order to gain power and to enhance her ability to create illusions. She doesn't generally get along with others as she sees them as inferior.

    Loving Nox! The translation to 3D has served the character VERY well. The mood in the lighting also helps the characterisation. Nice work.

    I really like the play of light and shadow and how her eyes are partially covered by her hair.  Beautiful!

    Thank so so much, I was going for a dramatic lighting using the shadows to kind of represent her personality.

    Alrighty, so here's a character that I've been working on recently...just finished yesterday. 

    I haven't yet come up with a back story for her, but she does have a brother that I'm workng on at the moment.

    this was just a quick render, I might have to edit things later.

    Very beautiful portrait renders and interesting characters! Great light setup in the Maylorien render! Very good rain effect and light set in your last one!

    I really like both of the female characters, they look like strong yet vulnerable women.  The rain portratin is gorgeous!

    I like the point of view on the monster image as well as the lighting.

    Ok,so right now I'm working on a Jennifer Lawrence, Genesis 3 Character. I'm almost done...

    Ok, so here she is. I made the maps yesterday, and partially today. Her eye color  was KILLING me, It took forever to finally get it to match the photo that I was copying. I also copied the makeup as best as I could. Not the hair though >http://affinitymagazine.us/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/MTMwMTI4MTQyMjgyMDU5NzQ2.jpg  This is just a test render.

    What do you think so far?

    You have some really great characters here @aloreea.  I like all of them, with Nox as my fave and Lady M a close 2nd.

    I think you did a great job on getting as close to Jennifer as you did Aloreea!!!

    The only thing I would suggest is maybe making her face a bit more round.

    Alright so, I completely forgot about my Jennifer Lawrence model. XD I had another idea.

     

    So this model is based off of someone I know. 

    Her name is Ahsato, and I've been working on her for a while now. On her right arm she has a few tattoos written in Japanese. I haven't had time to post a render of her tattoos visible yet, but I plan to do so tommorrow. I also plan on making the tattoos glow... 

    I couldn't find any photoshop brushes in Japanese that had English translations...XD So I had to create my own. 

     

    Anyway, here's a quick portrait render of her...

    I think the Jennifer Lawrence one is coming along nicely now she looks more like her with the more rounded face!!

    Ahsato is looking omg wow she is like the "Girl next door"!!!!

    Here's just a test render of Ahsato's Reaper Tattoos and Face Paint

    Ahsato has four different sets of tattoos, that I haven't gotten around to finishing yet.

    Here the tattoos on her right arm glow. I actually lost the non-glowing render XD I'll find it later.

    This was just a quick render of her in a scene, So there are many many imperfections that are just screaming at me. XD

    I plan on making a better render later.

    This is another set of tattoos called  "Warrior of the night" < (I know not very creative XD) .  I've already made them glow too, just have to post the render.
