I am playing with lighting in this render. Like I said before, it takes me hours and sometmes days to make lighting in my renders look decent.

I'm still learning how to get it quicker and easier.

I have some advice for you on this render that may help you out with lighting, I would use a colored spotlight (say like a soft yellow) to the right side of her and turn down the intesity of the light but that is just me

Here is a great Tutorial on lighting in Daz

This is a really good tutorial about 3 point light set up:

Thank you! these are really good tutorials. I'm going to try this out right now.

Also, I will try to add the colored light on her right, and fix the intensity of the lights on her left.

I really hope it helps you out with learning lighting.

I know I had the damnedist time getting my lighting to go the way I seen it in my head untill Dracorn pointed me in the direction of the lighting tutorials on youtube.

Thanks, I hope so too. I'll keep re-watching them when I get stuck.

    Also really?

One day I'll get a good idea, and then when I'm done I'm like " Hmm, that looked alot better in my head." XD

While I work on my challenge with lighting, I've been working on a new model. Her name is Za'lynia. The name actually means "The Moon." I just changed up the spelling.

    Description:

She has smoke-gray hair and gray-ish white eyes.

She is slightly thin, and curvy. He skin is light gray,

and her hands and feet are slightly large.

I've also created glowing moon tattoos on her face. On her back, she's going to have glowing constellations as tattoos.

Still comng up with ideas for her regular, non-glowng makeup though.

Should be done tomorrow morning with a render of her.

You have some nice images in here.  Keep up the good work.  You have a nice combination of posing and lighting in a lot of your renders.

Added highlights to her hair, because why not?

also I think it makes her hair look more interesting...

K, well I'm going to wait to finish Za'lynia. And I've also named her Artemis now, it sounds way cooler than Za'ylnia.

So here's Alaina, new character and stuff.

Her makeup is like splashed ink. I'll render a better view later.

  • Gorgeous portraits!  I like the highlights it definitely brings it up a notch.

Thank you! I was trying to figure out how it make it more interesting and vibrant. It was looking a little dull to me. Still need a add a bit more color to it somehow.

  • Those are all beautiful.  You have a really nice talent there.

  • Really great portraits.  I particularly like the Eris one, but they are all wonderfully done.

    Thanks Knittingmommy and Worlds_Edge!

Right now I'm working on a new character for G8. Her name is Alaina, the portrait of the lady with the green makeup and green background is also her. < (Forgot to mention that)

I want to become a PA, and I hope Daz will like her, almost done. This is alot more work than I thought, XDD.

I have two versions...of the same render.

XD I just love this pose!

There are a few issues I have to work out, these are only tests.

So what do you guys think?

Been working on Alaina, here's a quick render of some new stuff I bought, and of Alaina.

Also, the Nik collection is AMAZING!! It's so helpful.
