Do you also have trouble finding words when speaking? Any changes to your medications?

Yep I do sometimes have difficulty speaking. I know my doctor is trying improve my medicine stuff, but that takes time to find the right dosages.
I also have a problem with going into a room but I am clueless why I entered the room.

Those are all symptoms I've had when my dose of certain medications is too high.

I want to try chocolate flavored almond milk

...that actually sounds rather good, kind of like a Hershey's bar with Almonds in hot liquid form.

    Good Mornin :)

Half past midnight here phew boiling
..could go for a little of that here - but at Midday not Midnight. Although, we've been blessed with a little taste of spring today as it is supposed to reach the low 60s (almost unreal since it is a weekend and not a workday). Sun is shining brightly only a small cloud here and there.

urgh, can't believe more people haven't picked up on the freebies this week. Both got flagged as untrusted. Seems like Daz's new policy is having an effect...

    ...of the wrong kind.

    ...I know >:-(

Every year it seems to start earlier. Maybe they should just implement it year round and be done with it.

...OK, playing kvetchup again today. Finally got through the thread

    Workplace complaint:

Thursday made me feel a bit like I was in "Dilbert World"

I was assigned to create the shipping manifests and orders to ship out the remainder of the stock for the Client which is leaving. Not a bad task as it pretty much requires a lot of data entry so I got to stay at my desk all day (a good thing since it was cold & drizzly and my arthritis was acting up). While a somewhat mind numbing and tedious task, it does require a high degree of accuracy for the inventory needs to be debited and balanced out at the same time (in this case to zero). Well sometimes the inventory DB is off by a few units which could be attributed to a number of different issues. Should this occur I would have to submit a request to our IS department to make the proper adjustment before I debited the product. Again procédure simple, non?

Well not when the IS department operates under such rigid inflexible rules that it takes what should be a simple five minute task and turns it into an hour and forty minute ordeal. What my supervisor was told by the IS director was once such a request is assigned to a particular individual, it cannot be given to another. Doesn't matter if the request is extremely urgent (these types of requests by default have the highest importance since they affect live orders) as I had twenty orders to enter (all of substantial size) and they needed to be completed and processed by noon which was when the truck for the pickup was arriving. While I'm not sure why the assigned person didn't attend to this in a timely manner, I don't know, but in the past it often was that he wasn't in yet and nobody else could touch it according to to department procedure.

Finally when I mentioned this to my warehouse manger "he said let me handle this". Two minutes later the correction was made and I was able to proceed. I couldn't just start on the next order and then come back to the one on hold later as each had to be entered in the sequence I was given as each had to match up with a specific skid of product and the order in which it had to be loaded on the truck. Basically in the time I was stuck waiting, I could have almost been done with inputting all the orders and generating the manifests. This loss of time also put me in a high level rush panic mode to meet the deadline which in turn could have resulted in errors that would have cost even more time (fortunately there were none on my part). By the end of the day I was so burned out, I actually nodded off on the tram back into town.

Now I am a stickler for "good" procedure, for it helps outline the need of the job and makes simple to understand and thus simpler to accomplish. However, what I dealt with on Thursday was just plain stupid. To be this inflexible is counterproductive is, my book, rather nit picky petty. When something requires urgent attention, it should be addressed, It's not like we are a huge company with hundreds of requests bombarding the department every day (though I feel for poor Britteny here at Daz having to deal with all the March Sadness issues). When I sent an amendment mentioning this was an urgent request it should have been picked up by whoever was free at the time (both my supervisor and warehouse manager agree on this as well). We had a strict deadline to meet as everything needed to be out by end of business day Friday. Had we missed the deadline, there would have been all sorts of heck to pay and we would be the ones held responsible, not the IS department which caused the snafu in the first place.

Think I'm going to put in for a week off after next week, I need the rest.

putting on another half pot of cawffee. don't usually do 2 half pots in one day, feeling a need for comfort today. just a feeling someone was mean to someone in the world today, or mean to their dog today.

Which ones? I'm not using the DIM, I downloaded the old way. I didn't get any complaints from Norton about them. But I'm not surprised. They often seem to evoke those reactions from anti-virus applications.

    And the March Sadness continues.

No, that would be Fall Back. Spring Forward means you lose an hour of sleep...or an hour of play, as I prefer to say.

DanaHmmm... So I go to bed at 12 and sleep to 8 but tonight I go to bed at 12 and sleep to 9 and I didn't get a extra hours sleep?
I knew that, it was a giggle thing. Only the clock has changed not the number of hours I've slept.

People are using DIM, zips instead of installers so no more of that reputation garbage to worry about.

Only if we use the DIM, though. I have decided against it for various reasons. I'm still getting installers when I download.
