yes, have the same grand total price as your screenshot, wich is correct with the formula showed in 1st page of this thread

BUT according to the email sent to PC Members, primary discount should be 65% instead of the usual 51%, until the 3/14 (look at my screenshot)

so, according to the formula showed in 1st page combined with the extra 65% instead of 51% til 3/14, the grand total for both items should be $ 7,70... wich is not, unless i missed something

It's another one of those vague wordings from Daz it could be read two ways. I read it the other way, it sounds like you have to have two items to get upto 65% off as part of the march madness. Which isn't any change from normal really. If you read the next one you get upto 50% off Ibrahim but that is as part of the MM. It isn't 50% off to start off with.

The base prices are 19.95 and 14.95, total of 34.90. 65% off that is $12.21, and then an extra 10% takes it down to $11 which is what the cart shows.

    Guys

I don't know about any of you, but when 3 or 4 people have to whip out their calculators to determine the price of an item during one of the biggest sale of the year, something is horribly wrong. Especially when not everyone can agree!
    .
I've run some of these numbers people post and I never come up with the same numbers Richard come up with.
    .
March Madness used to be fun.
    Now it's just madness.

yes but since both are from DAZ and i'm a PC Member, shouldn't the step 2 rule apply with an extra 30% ???

those calculations are so complicated that even a multi-processor computer should get headaches ^^

definitively need to be simplified for the future

Being a Land Surveyor math is part of my life, but I didn't want it to be part of my leisure.

When a sale is complicated, no matter how easy it actually seems to be, maybe a different and more simple approach is warranted.

I really have no problem with the sale other than this item or that item don't count because it is too new. That ladies and gentlemen is where the complications arise.

Have a tag for items that are less than 60 days old or have a release date on the product page.

Make sure PC or Value Category items are not in the list.

    Be more specific.

That is all. Carry on my wayward sons.

A big NO! for that one - because the PC items do work.
They do not get discounted, but they are bringing the price of the second item down.

The release date on the page would be nice!

    The 65% includes the PC discount: 50% x 70% = 35% = 65% off

OK, thanks Richard and Mike for your explanations but please, DAZ People, make it easier to understand in a near future

In my case, i got confused by the text of the PC e-mail related to the towel and jskirt (just see the pict i've posted on the top of page 7 of this thread).
Maybe it's because english is not my mother tongue (i'm french) and also because i'm not a math-guy...

Anyway, both items are now mine... so happy to finally catch the towels i've missed a few monthes ago

Since there seems to be a certain amount of confusion over how the savings work Britney has gone over the way they work with me and I'm going to try explaining things here.

There are five groups of items on the March Madness page....................

Thank you, Richard for taking the time to work all that out. Here it is March 14, and for me, I just decided to see if there was such an explanation. It's very helpful. Now I have a feeling for what's happening.

    SALES STRATEGY

But in a larger picture, it gets difficult for me to become excited about things if there are too many caveats. In other years DAZ got me hooked in anticipation, not so much this time around. This time I'm basically checking my wishlist to see if something I want is on sale, preferably that there are two items from the same vendor so I can get the 50% off. Then I scan all the new stuff.

Who was it that was a surveyor above? I'm with you in that a certain amount of pre-purchase calculation is okay, but less so for leisure.

Just the same, to all those who are into this I hope you're really having fun! It does take a lot of effort to create such a promotion, even if it doesn't quite hit the personal spot.

Typically the PC or Value items do not count in a sale. If they help in getting discounts then by all means, but they do not get discounted themselves.

I was speaking of sales in general, not just the March Madness sale.

I haven't gone thru all the posts, but one question I have is if I purchase the Garibaldi Hair system a few days after I started purchasing Madness items, could I be refunded the 10% I would have gotten from those previous purchases?

Only if they're still part of the sale -- if they're no longer in the March Madness category then you wouldn't be able to.

I am not sure a purchase would count retroactively

Is the MM sales system still broken or is what I am doing invalid?
I have an IgnisSerpentus item and a AntFarm item in my cart, but I am only seeing a 30% discount, not 50%.
I had a similar issue Day2 (i think it was), when Valandar and IgnisSerpentus were on sale over the weekend.

Should I be seeing a 50% discount or not?

The final price in your cart should be 50% off the base price. If it isn´t, then the discounts are really broken again. Just don´t make the same mistake as I did on Day Two. I bought the items although the discount was wrong and filled a support ticket for the difference, but then had a VERY hard time to explain this to DAZ Support. They did not believe me that the discounts were wrong and were thinking that I counted them wrongly, although I provided them with calculations. (But hey, 50% is one half, how hard is that to count?) I finally got a refund for the difference after many days, but that was only because I was persistent and they did not want to put up with me any longer...

Everytime I click in the DAZ store on the link "See All March Maddness", I get a blank page with text: "March Madness Day 17 - There are no products matching the selection." This happened to me yesterday also, but before that it was working fine and showing all March Maddness sale items. Does this happen to other people too, or am I the only one with this glitch?

I'm getting nearly 1,100 items - but one of the other mods was seeing a blank list last night, so you aren't alone.

Nope. No 50% here. Its showing the same 30%.
    This is really ridiculous.

To add more madness into March, someone decided, changing the link to the items every day would be cool.
Here are the links for today and yesterday.

    Shrieker: $19.95
    Together: $29.90

Doh!!!! Ur right. Im looking at the price of the item expecting it to be reduced by another 20%, but i didnt notice the discount at the bottom where its taking off the extra 20% per item.

    Thanks Kerya!
