I happen to read Sickleyield's DA blog, so I know what's coming. ;)

That said, all I can think of with that picture is "Bustopher Jones in white Spats"

    Don't tell anyone.

But they are lovely spats and are separate from the shoes...

With the foreshortening and the even light I keep seeing it as a horse's hoof.

I was thinking the same thing, but because of the furry legs.

A tux? Or a *full dress cutaway coat*? (They aren't the same. A tuxedo is NOT a cutaway.)

    :I

There is actually a proper tux here in the store. It's a PA item for M3 (fairly pricy, but looks well done). Go look at it. It is not even slightly the same as the M4 "tuxedo" which is a cutaway coat of the "full formal dress" variety, although I wouldn't vouch for its accuracy since I've never been in a position to have to know the difference.

I've tried the M4 tux, and not found it to my personal taste. A genesis tux would be awesome!

There are basically two kinds of tux coats. There's the Dress Coat and the Morning Coat. Each kind has its supporters.

If this were indeed a tux, I wonder what kind of coat it would have?

I think it wants a Morning Coat. It told me so! :)

Thanks for your support everyone. Wouldn't it be amazing if it layered with the Morphing Business Suit and had matching textures?

It might be possible to provide both kinds of coat...

I found out they'd got one with the pajamas set, and I know better than to try and compete with a Plat Club item, especially when it's going to be that much work. ;)

We're already planning what's going into the main pack vs. Expansion 01. More specific in style than the Business Suit, but still, lots and lots of pieces. Also, in response to criticism of the previous set, this one is nipple-friendly and fits more closely between the legs. Learn something new all the time, and the latter makes it easier to rig anyway.

    SUGGESTION!!!

Now, in the Morphing Business Suit, if one wanted to display socks, it was a material as part of the shoes. But what if one wanted to depict shoelessness with the socks? Like a guy kicking up his feet after work? Or to simulate a more realistic shot of getting dressed? Maybe someone's in a rush and slips, resulting in a shoe flying off? Or maybe someone at the office is looking for a raise and the boss just happens to have a really kinky foot fetish? :) The possibilities are endless!

So, if specific things like that could be something new to the additions, I'd LOVE to see them! Sure I can use things like stockings and bodysuit material zones, but something more specific for suits and maybe even a pair of classic suspenders would be highly appropriate.

I get where you're coming from, and Shalen is the best person to answer, but I just wonder whether the additional difficulty in doing this, would be worth the extra money that would need to be charged for the set when one could easily just use a pair of socks from the numerous sets that have them. The MBS sock textures are tiled and could be cut and pasted onto any sock. It's also something that is not really part of the essence of what a tux is.

If this were to be done, the I'm guessing the way to do it would be to have a separate set of socks in the set that were not intended to be used with shoes.

Well, like I said, it was mostly something that could be an extra as part of the Expansion packs.

The main pack shoes don't have socks at all, but that's certainly something I'm willing to do with the expansion. Socks are easy.

Also, suspenders? I love it, but how the heck do you wear those with a tux? All the pics I've seen have shown a waistcoat covering the belt area or a cummerbund doing the same.

Fun language fact: I say cummerbund, Mareiah says cumberbund. According to Wikipedia we're both correct because it's a regional difference, like buttonhole/boutonniere and vest/waistcoat (because she is Australian and I am American). Why do so many of these involve clothes, I wonder?

Suspenders are another oddity - the word here means what you cal a garter belt, which really isn't a happy image with the hairy legs. We call what you call suspenders braces (as in belt and braces, when someone is taking every precaution to avoid trouble).

    *Falls over*

Between that and "pants" vs. "trousers," half the stuff we call regular clothing here is underwear over there. :D I expect shortly to learn that "shirt" is UK/Australian for "brassiere" and "jeans" actually means "buttless chaps."

    Yes, this please. *smile*

I would love to have a long coat, tux with tails AND dinner jacket if at all possible even as later expansions.

You ladies rock... now if only I can keep my credit card from exploding through March Madness in time to save up enough for this package.

    :)

P.S. Please make the tails as poseable limbs. I am dying to make certain picks in which this would be lovely. I have an agile butler character. *smile*

Thank you again for your consideration.

Given the difficulty in fitting those to the sock and under the pants, probably not. The interaction of pants/cummerbund/shirt/ jacket is enough of a headache to manage with all of the variants we're going to end up doing.

We've already done what is basically a dinner jacket in the Morphing Business Suit. There are morphs to shorten the jacket and narrow the lapels and ..voila...

This set is specific to tailed coats.

Although the textures are largely done, I can't post an image of it yet with M5 because there are no FBMs or morphs yet, so it won't look quite right. When I did that with the MBS last year, there was an avalanche of complaints about the shape because people thought it needed fixing when all it needed was its morphs and FBMs.

But as a compromise, I put V5 into a few bits of it, to show the versatility of the dress coat. Remember, no FBMs yet. It will fit her better when its done,
