Would it be too much to ask for a white carnation and a few selections flowers to wear?

We're calling it the Ultimate Morphing Tux. It's designed to work with pieces from the Morphing Business Suit such as the scarf and cravat and vest, although it has its own vest in a different style. The two MBS flowers will work with it. There's a rosebud and a camellia. in that set. I'm not sure if SickleYield wants to add a carnation...

The base set will include the Dress Coat shown, but the Expansion pack wll have a Morning Coat in it - all texture-matched as well. Two of the included textures - the grey and the navy - are identical to MBS textures for easy mix and match.

So I think you'll be able to donate that old M3 tux to your local 3d thrift shop. :-)

Fishnets not included. I borrowed these from V4.

    Yay!

Hopefully a carnation will work its way into an expansion.

Is the top hat pictured also included?

Top hat yes. Carnation is a tough flower to model compared to others. I will consider it. A full flower bouquet is an "entire different product" type of item and is not happening as part of the main product or expansion.

LisaB has some nice carnations, can't you persuade her to add a morph to one of them. :coolsmirk:

That's not a bad idea. I'll pm her and suggest she might want to make a "buttonhole and bouquet" product that uses a range of her existing flowers...

That would be really cool. Both are often needed. She could possibly even add a hair wreath for a flower girl.

Funny you should say that. I was looking for a nice Genesis Evening Gown to use in promo renders with the tux, but there's nothing there except a single long gown that doesn't really inspire me. I might have to resort to the Genesis MFD with some of the old V3 textrues on it. But I'd much rather have something with decent mat zones so I can shader my way to something stunning.

This looks awesome. I have the MBS and quite love it so I am excited about this. I do have a question. I see that the top hat is included. You've mentioned a vest and I presume a shirt along with a tailed coat (YES). What about that cane? Is it included? Any chance of a monocle or something as well?

Chohole has a lot of really nice evening dress textures for the Pharaohs of the Sun dress that work great on the Genesis one. If you have to use DAZ textures, I think there are one or two in the store as well.

...try the Basic Black textures for the MFD (Gen4) they are very elegant and work well for formal settings.

Or use the transmaps from them, and a shader.

There is a sorry dearth of calf-length skirts for Genesis.

Actually, it isn't quite what the doctor ordered, but I found that scaling and parenting the longish skirt (not the tutu) from Littlefox's old A3 ballet set works rather well. If you don't let autofit mess with it, it's got some nice adjustment/movement morphs. May be a little too transparent though. And you'd need something to cover up where it (doesn't) join at the waist.

You're right. cane is included, along with the gloves and shoes and spats pictured on the first page of this thread. Shoes are lace ups. There are two bow ties - one tied and one untied, There is a cumberbund as well as a Morning Coat (the dancer is wearing the Dress Coat), all packed with morphs. These will be spread over two sets - a main set and an expansion.

I'm not sure what else will be added. Shalen has mentioned she will add socks.

I was thinking the other day that what we are making with this and the MBS is investment clothing. By this I mean clothing that is very high quality, classic in style and will see you through many seasons. This is totally fitting for a revolutionary figure like Genesis, who can be male and female, child and beast. What is needed are very high quality meshes, tons of morphs and super quality, hi res textures that will withstand the strain and stretching caused by the morphs. That's why I use tiled textures on these suits wherever possible. (The inner fly uses a texture map because there is a zipper in there that is exposed when the pull down morphs are activated.) But, in general, I'm achieving the equivalent of 10,000 by 10,000 on the textures, which not only gives the suits a crisp and expensive look, but survives extreme morphing with little or no distortion.

I really think this is the best way to make clothing for a figure like Genesis.

I'm not sure if you're joking with this question. The cutaway tux coat is pictured on the second page of this thread. There will also be a Morning Coat, which is a different type of tux jacket - again with tails.

...nope, totally missed that page. Looks great.

When this thread was only a single page, I clicked the "Subscribe to this thread" link. The first ebot I received for the thread took me directly to page 3 for some reason.

Been having issues with ebots for these forums the last couple months.

I've had them unsubscribe me from my own WIP threads a few times now. It's very irritating, I agree.

I'm doing the morphing still and will have it done on the main pieces hopefully in the next couple of days. Lots of movement is planned.

Thanks for the advice on the MFD. I'll give it a try.

Here are a couple of pics to give you a better look. No FBMs or morphs yet. It will fit better when we have those. Click for larger on the cream and brown to see the quality of the fabric...
