Genesis 8 Male

He's looking pretty good, IMO. 

I think he might using Micheal 7's skin textures (like Genesis 8 Female uses Karen 7's textures).

I haven't decided if I'm going to get Michael 8 or not, yet (I think I will) but so far I'm having fun with the base Genesis 8 Male. :)

    I think those are the Eddie textures converted to iRay but it's hard for me to say when you have blemishless textures. They've done really good but they should of left him looking more like the G7M Eddie, that render looks sort of similar to M8 that it might hurt sales of M8.

    I hope the Genesis 8 Morphs and Expressions are in the shop later today? When G8F released with V8 her Head and Body Morphs and Expressions released same day.

    I just checked and, to me, the base Genesis 8 Male's mats definitely look like Michael 7's mats (with a few minor modifications). 

    Here's the base G8M with the base textures he comes with (with my shader settings):

    Here he is with Michael 7's textures (with my shader settings):

    As you can see in the second one the nipples are off slightly because Michael 7's textures use a different UV.

    They got the same material map Icon ( I knew that was looking familiar) but I think the skin is a different set.. rendering now

    you're right! Well no wonder Michael 8 & Michael 7 look alike.

    It's not Michael 8 - it's the just the base G8M. :)

    I've not purchased Michael 8 yet so I can't do any renders of him. But I hope to talk the hubby into letting me get him. lol

    Its definitely M7's textures, not Eddies. Eddie is quite different.

    Likewise.  Kinda surprised they are not already in the store. I never use the base character(s) without going to those morphs to tweak things to my liking.

    Wasn't there a delay of a day on the G8F morphs and expressions? They will be here.

    G8M looks good on the images I see here. But I cannot find the Genesis 8 Male to download. It is not in my product library neither.

    Where can I download the G8M ? Who can tell me?

    I agree he looks great and I love that look he has of femininity , IMO best looking Micheal ever, which matches that warrior androgynous look v8 has . I really need to get these characters to work in animation.  I have so many role reversal Ideas for these characters would be perfect in

    Use DIM. The Genesis 8 Male Starter Essentials should be available from there.

    I'm disappointed that M8 looks so much like M7. Which I'm not that fond of to be honest. I will have to download G8M later and see if he looks as girly as G3M does.  (not there is anything wrong with that, just not really my taste).

    I just checked my purchase history and it shows that I purchased both the morph bundles and V8 pro bundle on same day which was the first day of release for G8 female.

    Maybe should stick with character designs like the first genesis  was , where we can just blend all the morphi with either male or female characters . it made transformations from humen to animal much easier    genesis in my IMO was great just for that reason

    Not been round these parts for ages, but, have been sort of keeping up with Daz via emails and FB. That said, I don't recall there having been any big announcements that G8 had come out. I got an email moments ago that said Michael 8 (Or Mate if you follow him as M8!) had been released. It was only from that that I surmised that G8M was out. You'd think that a new Genesis would be big news, but apparently not. Do bear in mind though that I probably haven't been on these forums since 2015 so maybe I missed something!

    Genesis is quite versatile in that respect for sure.  I'm not complaining, I'm sure that many people will enjoy him.  So far, my favorite generation of males is G2M, so I will just move them up to G8M and go from there.  Also, I do have some G3M's that I quite like, I just had to wait a bit for them to come out.

    Here is my usual side-by-side comparison of new models. I used the new bathsuit with the Armani hair. There is no touchup on the models after the fact. For lighting I used Ultragenesis Environments.

    Base G8m is the same shape as base G3m just modified a bit in terms of mesh topology and an improved base pose (like G8F was). Still, it hardly can be described as "girly" he's just not bodybuilder physique, just an average build really, perfect for morphing...

    I can't rememebr where the G3FM or G8F morphs came from but I admit to being a touch surprised to see Bodybuilder (base, Detals and Size), Emaciated, and Portly but not Fitness, Weight, Height, etc.  I was sure I'd got the Pro bundle (checks for toast ... cheeky).  I presume there'll be a fiollow-up add-on that actually adds some morphs to allow things to be changed.

    In the meantime, with what I have, here's a quickie ...

    I don't know what shocks me more, the fact that we finally get the main male figure very shortly after the flagship female, or the fact that this one isn't launched with the basic morph packs every other figure comes with... ._.

    Im hoping it was a simple error and that DAZ3D will release them as soon as they get into the office and get that first cup of coffee down.

    I didn't invest in Genesis 3, so for me, the jump from Genesis 2 to Genesis 8 is worth it. 

    I dial-spin my characters, so what M8 looks like is irrelevant, except if he is a good starting point.

    I really loved the Genesis choices between average and Supermodel/Superhero versions.
