My in cart price for Growing Up for G8M just increased by over $1.50 Not Cool. I think DAZ just convinced me to dump everything
At this point I sure wish I hadn't bought the G8F version back in September.
I'm in California, where it's just a bit chilly and very clear today. But my company's Baton Rouge office had to close for the day because it got snowed out. In Louisiana.

Mine too. Evidently the cheaper price was a GLITCH, not a loyalty rewards for buying the G8F release early.

These constantly changing prices have kept me from buying anything but freebies during this sale. I never feel confident that the price in the cart is correct or stable. I'm a big fan of Zev0 products and buy most of them, but when the price in the cart goes up, it just creates a bad feeling and kills any kind of impulse buying. I love Daz, but lately the constant sales that don't work have really disappointed me.
Same here, so far I've dumped 4 carts precisely because of suddenly jumping prices.
Same here. It may only be a $1.50 or so but after the sudden unexpected increase I just don't feel like shopping here anymore
I got Growing Up for G8F for $9.98 in September. With the current price I'm seeing of $8.83 for the G8M version, total would be $18.81 for the two. I could get the bundle today for $13.70. So I would be paying an extra $5.11 for the combo, 37% more than if I had waited. Certainly better to wait for the bundle in the future.
Well, I just got a message that I get a whooping extra 5% off for buying Growing Up for G3F WOW! And this after earlier offering it for $1.50 less than the new discounted price. Thanks but NO THANKS! Happy Holidays Bah Humbug,.
It's 5% off, but it also qualifies for the current loyalty promotion going on. If we want vendors to offer bigger looking discounts for previous purchases, ask DAZ to stop constantly running sales and promotions that stack on top of other offers.
So, Zev0 is one of the most popular PAs with highly anticipated new releases.
I suspect that they'll see lower release sales than anticipated on Growing Up for G8M because of this glitch... the opposite of what happens when the glitch is in the customer's favor.
It will be interesting if Growing Up for G8M produces less revenue for the PA than they expected because of the glitch working against the customer.
If 4 of us are complaining and not buying, there are probably 9 other customers for each of us who aren't complaining but not buying, at least.

Well, eventually it's going to settle down to whether or not the item is worth the price and not 'did I get the absolute, lowest, bare-bottom price I ever could have?'.

If so buy it, if not toss it out.
If it looks too good to be true, buy it quickly and shut your mouth.
Paid more than you should?, submit a ticket, get your refund and spend it on something else.
Yes me too. I had hoped the combined price I paid for the two would be the same as the bundle, but it appears that is not to be. I guess we had the benefit of using the G3F one for 3 months, although I am not sure I actually did use the product, but that is my fault, not the PA's. Never nice to see one's cart price jump mid-day. A 20% discount seemed about reasonable, so I had not thought the initial offered price was a glitch. At least I got my PC+ subscription for a reasonable price, I think the first time we have seen a 50% price drop this year (glitches excluded).

Good point. I have the other Growing Up products from Zev0. Paying about $9 today with all the discounts is definitely worth it. That said, I really haven't used the one for G8F much, because I still use G3 a lot. I love G8, just haven't made many children with it, yet. So the other two questions for me are:

Better you than me up here in Dallas Robert, LOL. It was cold enough, but we got lucky and the front didn't get this far north which is fine by me as I hate driving on icy roads.. My sister and Mom down near Houston both got snow also.
Doing a graphic comic has got to be one of the most content-intensive undertakings.
I go through Sooo much content per story, it's nuts.
It's almost like something 'can't come out' that I won't find a use for- eventually.
At some point either I need more resources or gotta start making stuff myself.
So far, some creative shape- shifting and object-kit-bashing has helped.
Stories need content and the store's content inspires stories.

Like everyone else, every time I think I'm done (especially with odler stuff) they find some way to get those card swipes.
My apologies. I though it was it legit. I didn't checkout then, so I'm making changes to my cart. I'll pick up a PC+ new release and get my membership renewed at 50% off. Zev0 is just going to have to wait for me to get the G8M version.
This 5% discount seems a bit insulting after the discount we got buying 200 Plus Head and Face Morphs for G8M when we'd already bought the same for G8F... I paid $4.22, approximately 81% off, end of October. 61% pales by comparison, but I still thought it was good enough to buy now. We can't get 80% off new releases all the time. But 53%? It just feels like we're being punished for not waiting for the bundle in the first place. (And for the record, that does not feel like anything Zev0 would do to us. He's always been more than fair to his loyal customer base!)

And when sales don't do as well as expected, I suppose, (conjecture, not fact,) Daz will use these stats to further "prove" male products don't sell.

Nothing to apologize for. Sometimes the glitches DO look like legitimate sales, and it's really hard, if not downright impossible, to tell the difference.
Gotta agree with you on that. The g3 versions look the same or close and have the MR license. So, why bother? I love Zev0 products. But, my main reason for getting the g8 version was for the new license. Now that the policy has changed, these morphs are prerequisites for the end user, as opposed to mesh creation tools. Nothing wrong with that...just not what I was expecting, or wanting.

There was a 50% off offer last summer, (August, iirc,) but members were excluded. Caused a lot of bad feelings toward Daz from a number of long time members, myself included.
Yeah, same here. It's never a good idea to punish people who are already doing what you want them to do - which is exactly what it felt like when they excluded current PC+ members from the discount on memberships that they were giving everyone else. Don't get me wrong, I know what they were aiming to do - which is to entice people who weren't already PC+ members, but it did feel like a punishment for current members to not let them renew at that price too, or at least a price that was nearly as good.
Yeah I am also not happy about the PC+ discount, since they had the non-member one over the summer, and then a lesser discount just a few weeks ago. It is recent enough that it bothers me, even though I thought the discount before was enough. Waiting to see if they respond to that in the forums at all.

I would expect the only disgruntled customers are those who were awake and shopping at the daily turnover. In my opinion, anyone who didn't see the higher discount, (or doesn't keep watch on this thread,) isn't going to be put off by the lower discount, but see it as a windfall, no matter how small.
Theoretically, if half of Daz's customers dumped their carts this morning due to the increase in Zev0's product in their cart, sales overall could be disappointing, and GU for G8M could still be the Top Seller.
Fact, not theory: I really like Zev0 and his products. I've got a script that allows me to convert G3 morphs for use on G8, and I can use Growing up for G3M/F on G8M/F, but I prefer to support the PA, and that's why I bought GU for G8F, and why I'll eventually get GU for G8M... When the price of the G8M brings the two bought separately closer to the price I would have paid buying the bundle.
I prefer spending my budget on products for the men anyway. If I have to choose between them, I'll wait and buy the product for the males, regardless of the vendor.

Agreed. I think most of us waited because we thought it was legitimate and not a glitch, and we're kicking ourselves now.
It was more making a point in general, that when we talk about glitches, they get fixed - and so we should be very careful about what we mention in the forum. There have been other, more frustrating slips in this forum recently - but I figured L'adair would have thicker skin about being "called out" for this... and I think her gracious response highlights that I was right. ;)
Here is my feeling on a glitch like today. I was on the fence... it was ALMOST a great deal, and probably a good deal, but I wasn't certain, for many of the reasons expressed above, if it was a GREAT deal. So I hesitated. Then it became a WORSE deal... well... THAT doesn't make me want to *buy*... going... "I wasn't sure if it was good enough BEFORE, and it is WORSE *now*, I better jump before it gets even MORE terrible.
In fact, every time I've experienced that in the store, and held my guns, I've ended up getting a better deal eventually.
Now, on memberships - 50% is the best membership discount in a long time, and if there was a super cheap new item that qualified, I'd probably do it...
BUT... My first year only cost me $14 and I forgot to cancel so I'm already on the hook THIS year for $70... and that kind of sours me on extending a new year at more than twice what my FIRST year subscription cost... Is that saving money, or throwing good money after bad? I dunno. Next August when my membership is coming due and there hasn't been another 50% reduction, glitch or otherwise, between... I'll probably regret not buying today.
I bought the Growing Up Bundle almost immediately with some sort of discount it went from $13.27 to $11 and change. I didn't want to wait to buy it for a higher non-sale price because I don't use it frequently. When I do kid renders I tend to use toon style models anyway.
