This one maybe?

I have it and it works great at what it does, but I am not sure it helps with the dreaded V problem in long dresses.
Yep, I would have bought Growing Up for G8M but I was pretty unhappy about the price increase. So, I used Singular Blues script to convert Growing Up for G3M to G8M. It worked very well and I saved almost $9
Love the checkers & backgammon freebiw today
Yup, it's called "SY Front Fixer G3F" and you can find it over at rendo.
Where can I find this script?

Interestingly I tried this, and then compared with the GU for G8M and the results are near identical. The native G8M does not appear to even bend better, or least not in the poses I looked at. The head morph is completely identical.
This leads on to a major issue I have with many of the products coming out for Genesis 8 (and indeed 2 years earlier for Genesis 3), and that is where the final morph is near identical on the newer figure. For example George was a very popular figure for Genesis 3, simply because as an older, overweight man, he was fairly unique compared to what else was available. So why did his Genesis 8 version had to be a virtual clone? Do all older, overweight men look the same? Same with the Growing-Up morphs, all are clones in the final morph. I know you can change the morph yourself, or use the head neutralizer, but to be honest I would have prefered a different face morph, at least it gives you a reason to actually buy the new version, rather than just porting the morph over from the earlier figures.

There were big differences between G2 and G3. Though the morphs may have appeared to look and work the same, the workings "under the hood" were different. With G3 and G8, the differences are more subtle. G8 bends better, and does expressions a lot better, but the basic shape is so close to G3 that one can convert clothing between the two generations very easily using Sy's tutorial on DeviantArt.
The G8 versions of Zev0's products may appear to be identical, but they are not. Had they been, it would have taken days to convert everything from G3 to G8, instead of months per product. As for the head looking the same, Growing Up never did change the head and face more than necessary to make it look younger, specifically so you can use any adult figure in your runtime and create a younger version. Here's a scene I did way back when using Mei Lin: The Budding Olympian.
Production time has nothing at all to do with release dates except for the pesky can't-go-back-in-time limitation. SickleYield's ethnic morph sets for G8 look like straight-up conversions and those are still "taking months."
If the end results appear identical I'm not sure if it is important whether the versions are exactly the same or not.
Thanks for posting this link, Charlie! I think I'm going to do the same thing.
My take on that is that G3 is better for bending and has several other advantages to G2... but when you're moving a skin mat and a morph from Generation 4 or Generation 3 to Genesis, Gen2 is is the last generation that will take those earlier skin mats without Cayman Studio's geografts - and geografts don't play well with LIE and other geografts...
That creates a situation where although you can get something the Victoria 4 or 3 era to work with Genesis 3 - sometimes you're better off stopping at Genesis 2 and dealing with the unique problems that generation suffers from.
And when I first got into this, I had no idea what all of this meant. Now I'm a DAZ-nerd through and through.
AHA! thank you! i don't know why i forgot she has stuff over there too
100 pages already? That barely took two months.
I like that last one, L'Adair. The "Don't Blink" has a certain appeal, too. Need to keep a repertoire of snappy phrases to use in the future.
+1
Sorry I just saw your post. Thanks for trying to clarify my muddy waters. Maybe I misunderstood but I was under the impression if you had the older version for G3 Growing up, the G8F version was discounted. I own Easy Shape Master - Age Control and Body Tuning for Genesis 3 and also G8 Females but I do like Zevo products better and wished the deal for G8F Growingg up had been betterhad been better.
Edit: I hope this doesn't offend anyone but I think my keyboard has Tourette syndrome.
Interesting.. but If you did offend someone with Tourette's how would you know? Either way they would just tell you to F#% off. Kind of like the cat in the box dilemma.
It was supposed to be funny not interesting, but lucky for us I am not a stand-up comedian and I'm not Schrodinger . . . so no prize for me. ;(
Edit: and I'm still laughing because your reply was perfect except it left out a few other choice words. :)
Well, trust me, the troll in me wanted to write something else. And havinga a keyboard with tourette's would be a prize to me. I have the opposite problem, I type cursewords to people all the time when I text my enemies, and autocorrect cleans up my language. Its a nightmare.
I'm on the fence about Growing Up for G8M. I have it for every other generation, how many young boys do I need? And if it's not a merchant resource, I couldn't sell anything with it, so really, what is the point? I really don't see much point to G8 at all except that I may want to create a character for sale and G3 is already considered old news. I really prefer G3. Personally, I think Daz should have waited another year and made G8 a huge step forward instead of just G3 with some things behind the hood that is not obvious to most buyers..,
I agree with you 110%. And waiting another year would also have allowed vendors to come up with more products for G3, too. I look at the sheer number of great options for the generation 4 figures and can't help but think we'd see more stuff like that for the "current" generation if a new model wasn't released every two years. Instead, vendors—including Daz—are producing a lot of the same stuff for G8 that they already produced for G3. And I'm not just talking about utilities like the great products Zev0 releases. With dForce around the corner, (when G8 was released,) they could have incorporated soft-body physics into G8 and released the line in 2018. Now that would have been a real reason to adopt the next generation, not just (what appears to be, in my opinion,) a marketing ploy.
Agree also!
And another changeover glitch: dForce Mary Jane Outfit for G8F was released as a Daz Original, and 66% off in my cart. Again, assuming it was legit, I didn't checkout right away. I just happened to look at my cart this evening, and I noticed one of the 30% stacking discounts was missing. It took me a couple of minutes to realize that Daz Originals as a vendor had been removed.
It looks to be a really nice outfit. As a DO and 66% off, it was a no-brainer, IMO. Now? I'll have to think about it... The dForce clothing are being released at a higher retail price, (as well they should be, with the extra effort involved making them dForce compliant,) and I'm just not sure I really need any more dresses for the ladies. PAs take note: If that had been a dForce outfit for the males, made with the same care as you put into clothing for the females, it would be a no-brainer at the 51% discount.
whew. I thought I lost the thread! It's bumped down a bit. LOL
Personally, I'm still waiting for a decent Giftcard sale.
Me too, I am almost out of credit, and as a consequence I have spent very little so far this December. I am hoping that some sort of deal arrives that does not require buying two expensive new releases I have no interest in, in order to trigger the discount.
Will the current holiday sale have a catchup weekend? I forgot to buy a bundle before DAZ midnight and it's now out of the top selling list.
Not much to talk about. The sale is pretty much the same thing today as yesterday, with the addition of 10 new releases. No new freebie today, (not complaining, though. We did get two yesterday!) The 2017 Top Sellers list has 49 items, many of which were there yesterday, though several are different today. (Looks like they rotate some out each day and replace with other top sellers.) The same with the 2015/2016 Top Sellers, with 74 items. As far as I can tell, both Genesis 8 offers (Pro Bundles and Previous Generation Pro Bundles; Characters and Previous Generation Characters,) haven't changed, products or discounts, since day 1. And the 400+ Featured Previous Generation Genesis Add-ons doesn't seem to change much, either. I did notice there were 469 products at the beginning of the sale, then 467, and now back to 469. And today I think I saw a few items that weren't in there before...
It's a catch 22. It would be more exciting if those categories had different products every day, but then those people who have to wait for payday would miss out on the specials. And we'd hear about in this thread, that's for sure. LOL. But when so much stays the same from day-to-day, there really isn't a lot to talk about.
And as far as I can tell, we didn't have any glitches to bit...complain about, either. If Daz makes a habit of these smooth, problem-free changeovers, I'm afraid the "There's Always Another Sale™" threads may cease to be so popular!
It's really hard to say. And even if there is a catchup weekend, there's no guarantee the Top Sellers will be featured again. Wishlist the bundle, if you haven't already, so when it goes on sale next, you'll have the yellow heart to remind you. It's really true, what we say in the thread title. There is always another sale.
I've felt the same disappointment when something I wanted wasn't on sale for as long as I thought it would be, or I got distracted by life and didn't checkout before Daz Midnight. But there have been plenty of times where that worked in my favor, as the next time the item went on sale, it was a bigger discount. I like to call those, "blessings in disguise." I know my wallet certainly appreciates it when it works out that way.
