Complaint: bored. :blank: Bored, bored, bored. I've finished the firmware for one product, and produced versions for each hardware variant. I just finished testing the firmware on the last available unit. The boss is out of the office so I can't ask him for more work. :blank: I've spent most of the past 2 days catching up on my reading and doing some experimental writing. :blank: Bored, bored, bored.

I feel like dong something really different, like art-deco renders, or 1920s stuff mixed with steampunk. :blank:

Meh. More coffee called for, then back to reading about how to write romance and reading the history of the 1920s. :blank:

wuh oahs, hurricanes could swallow Texas?

Jupiter and the other outer gas giants have hurricanes larger than our planet
Makes our hurricanes seem pretty tame in comparison.

Morning. Dark clouds and chill south wind arrived with dawn's first light, a gloomy day here so far perhaps it will rain a little later on :)

...agreed. Many of the "diet" foods and beverages use ingredients (particularly sweeteners) that are worse for you than the normal ones.

    I have another complaint!

I saw Oblivion. It was pretty good, in fact the visuals were incredible and I'm now thinking about doing some sci fi stuff that I haven't thought about in ages, but the plot...

Why can't Tom Cruise be in a sci fi movie that isn't either Phillip K. Dick-based or identical to something he would write? I'm getting tired of his "my life is a lie" and/or "is this really real?" expressions.

Very pretty but ultimately pointless, derivative and stupid. It was like they plucked a bunch of sci-fi concepts out of a bunch of other films and threw them into this one. That does not make a coherent film.

Well, you know how they tell writers to write what they know about?

I guess the same applies to actors too...

I respect Tom Cruise as some one who has over came a real hardship, but not so much his pick of roles.

Tom Cruise is so Dyslexic that an assistant READS the scripts to him and he learns his lines that way and that way only.

This has been your FYI post for today. You may carry on.

At one time in the past, I had the opportunity to buy a replica of an Erte statue, I was very tempted but the wife (I was married at the time) nixed it. I should have done it anyway.. oh well..

    It finally stopped raining.

I might not log in very often because I got a ton of chores to do. Plus, I need to finish all the 3D scenes that I started. lol I'll try to visit the forum once a week. So if you are wondering where I am, I'm at home trying to finish some of my projects. Ok, i gotta edit some photos for my friends now. I use Gimp. Hmm, I might use OpenOffice.org and make a fake brochure out of some of the photos.

    Later everyone
