    Ahahahaha that is awesome and so amusing xD

    I remember poking around on Turbosquid trying to find a suitable chest so I could try making one myself, but here's one ready to go xD

    Not a big fan of the exterior tentacles though ;-)

    It sorta resembles a cross between the DragonWarrior/Quest "Canniboxes" and the "Mimic" sprite that came shipped with RPG Maker 2000. (I personally like the Mimic in RPGMaker VX better. Has a much "fleshier" interior and its tongue is better. Though I don't much care for mimics in general!)

    Musing aside, I'm wishlisting that. Some texture additions would be needed though - that mouth seems a bit bland *derp*

    That's sort of accurate... I can't remember if the "Fake crystals" were called mimics or not though - or even being classified as such in the bestiaries - but I do remember them being an utter pain. The real mimics weren't a problem. Pandoras were, if you weren't prepared, but their lesser brothers and sisters weren't. A well placed lightning spell and they're gone.

    The "Crystal mimics" on the other hand... Well yeah. I've had a few Game Overs attributed to approaching one when I wasn't prepared. ^_^;
    Mimics - physical fighters
    Crystal mimics - spell spammers

    *ETA* Also unlike traditional "Mimics" they don't devour you upon approach. They just vaporize you with massively damaging spells xD

    Uhh what's so bad about the elementals? They're passive unless you cast magic near them or attack them, and only show up under certain conditions (Bright sun in the Westersands for example)
    It was the Crystal Mimic in ... ... ... Uh... Okay so I forget the region's name, but the one in the marsh outside the Necrohol of Nabudis that gave me the most grief. ^_^;

    I think I've only been killed by an elemental once, while out hunting for this rare spawn, and it was because I hit it with a gravity spell on accident while being ambushed by some low ranking beasties. It proceeded to vaporize me without mercy :B

    In other Final Fantasy-ish news...

    Sephiroth defeats Cloud with his math skills =B
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJvlzcW4TT0

    "The equations used at the start of Sephiroth's Super Nova are of no coincidence and are genuine equations used in Astrophysics. They are as follows:

    \Phi\,\! = WU\gamma\,\! + RU\rho\,\! + SU\gamma\,\!U\rho\,\!
    W = -SU\gamma\,\!\Phi\,\!
    AU = (GMek^-2)^1/3
    h = \pi\,\!r^2

    The first two equations calculate the sun's and planet's potential attractive forces, however it incorrectly uses gamma instead of lambda. The third equation calculates the Earth's potential attractive forces and the fourth misstates that the asteroid is working on a two-dimensional level, as it is the equation for the area of a circle, all to direct the energy used to cause the supernova. However, it should be noted that the sun cannot actually supernova, being too small to explode in such a fashion. "

    Yeah, once I put it in my cart with something else, and went all the way to Paypal, it became "free". Not really free as I had to buy something ELSE, but since I had a small cheap item in my wishlist, I guess it worked out OK.

    What a fershuggliner pain in the caudal peduncle, though! >:(

    Still, two items for a price of one.

    Protip: If you plan to hitch yourself to Genesis bandwagon, I *do* recommend getting PC membership. Cheaper that way, plus free-freebies and monthly freebie. There's some wickedly awesome stuff for two bucks a pop. :D

    Good idea, the PC club thing. I can join for a few months to load up on Genesis stuff, then drop out when I have enough goodies.

    And yeah, two for one is OK, just.. meh. But I got tentacles! And some awesome prop shaders!

    And nah, I got no interest in the Plat. Club. I don't buy from DAZ much anymore since the critters are really the only thing I have any interest in, and they're largely shadowed by clothing and props for characters I similarly have no interest in ^_^;

    $5 for a chest with a mouth and stomach isn't worth subscribing to something I would get little use out of ;)

    It's not *quite* as bad as it sounds. It's mostly potato, with enough jalapeno to make me sweat but not enough to put me in the bathroom for 2-3 hours (whew). :bug: :bug:

    But I'm AWAKE :ahhh: now!
