29th Daz3D Bryce Render challenge
-
-
Now Sponsored by Daz 3D
-
-
Theme for this challenge is ~~~ "Reflection" ~~~
-
Another theme with so many different interpretations
- The throwing back by a body or surface of light, heat, or sound without absorbing it. ie .'The reflection of light’
- An amount of light, heat, or sound that is reflected by a body or surface. ie ‘the reflections from the street lamps gave them just enough light’
- An image seen in a mirror or shiny surface. ie ‘Marianne surveyed her reflection in the mirror’
- A thing that is a consequence of or arises from something else. ie . ‘a healthy skin is a reflection of good health in general’
- A thing bringing discredit to someone or something. ie. ‘It is no reflection on your skills or performance at all.’
- Serious thought or consideration. ie. ‘he doesn't get much time for reflection’
- An idea about something, especially one that is written down or expressed. ie ‘reflections on human destiny and art’
- Etc etc
The Choice is yours
Your imagination is the only limit
This thread is the WIP thread, so you can post here to show us how things are coming along before the render is transferred to the actual Contest thread for judging. You don't have to do that.we collect up all the finished ones and make the thread, with each render given a number and title, but no artist name shown, so it's a blind judging thread for the judging panel.
Rules
Please don't post your entry renders anywhere else until after the Challenge is judged, as judging is done in a blind judging thread, so the Judges don't know who has done which image.
Challenge ends May 31st 2018:- Midnight DAZ 3D time.
DAZ 3D Sponsorship, in the form of Store credit
Ist place $30 2nd place $20 3rd place $15

Cool theme
I'll start the ball rolling for this challenge. Something I was working on for a while now and completed the render this morning by changing the water material to get the reflections.
Alpine Reflections
That's super, Mermaid...it shows that you put a lot of time into it (the haze really sends the distance back).
Jay
that's a nice theme, and very well done Mermaid
mermaid - you beat me. Beautiful scene.
First entry
Title: Reflected Reflexions
A 25 segment Moebius between two vertical mirroring ground planes and the GWL in front of the camera to get a 330 degrees view angle. Tiny scene with infinite depth.
It's like a complex engineering project, Horo (oh, and thanks for burning the eyes out of my sockets with your colours ).
Jay
Oh, a tricky topic.
@ Mermaid: Just wonderful. A good start for this topic.
@ Horo: Very complex and an unusual idea, but an impressive result.
My first entry. I tried to think outside the box, I know, it's a bit scary, but it was my first idea ...
Trying to reflect my thoughts.:
_all are looking good so far
drachenlords,Mermaid,Horo
_``~...
Drachenlords: a brain teaser, for sure .
Jay
mermaid010 : very nicely done
Horo : impressive image, great idea.
drachenlords : scary reflection, great render.
Jamahoney - thank you Jay. I had to render it with max. ray depth 20 because this is no an astronomical picture and I didn't want a black hole in it.
drachelords - thank you. Very cool idea and excellently done. Scientists are currently trying to figure out where in the brain the thoughts are located, though not (yet) in this fashion.
ed3d - thank you.
adbc - thank you.
Horo: beautiful colors
Drachenlords: uh... really scary, yes. I hope you've found your thougts....
Yellow Pen - thank you.
Second entry
Title: Reflecting Life
Horo.... this is really wonderful. What a nice Idea, to put the life in his Eyes....
Thanks for the nice comments, ed3d, Jay, adbc, Horo and Yellow Pen.
@ Horo - what for a great idea and well done. Simply Cool!
Yellow Pen - thank you.
drachenlords - thank you. Hey, you're brainy guy (Trying to reflect my thoughts) inspired me.
Wow, great theme. Wonderful start by Mermaid. Lovely to see an abstract among the entries, Horo and very funny gimmick with the skull. Drachenlords: that's scary indeed. Glad there are no worms or spiders crawling out of that skull.
Now, I have to reflect on this theme, before entering, I guess.
@ Horo: Really? That's cool. Glad if my strange idea emerges with you a better ;-)
@ Hansar: Fortunately, the man just did not think of spiders or worms * lol *
My second entry:
What matters most is how you see yourself
That is very clever drachenlords
Horo : very cool idea, excellent render.
drachenlords : wonderful render and quite true as well.
Hansmar - thank you.
drachenlords - very cool idea and very nicely done.
adbc - thank you.
Thanks Jay, Yellow Pen, Horo, Drachenlords,Ed3d and Adbc for the nice comments.
Horo - both the Reflected Reflexions and Reflecting Life are awesome. I love the smiling skull
Drachenlords - you excelled yourself once again both your entries are great
Thanks to all fo the Comments.
Very good work, Drachenlords. I like the original look on the subject and you rendered it very well!
so, here is my first entry:
A Dragon in the puddle.
Pheeew, Horo, have you been browsing my facebook selfies (ooops, shouldn't mention FB data in these current circumstances ).
Yeah, Drachenlords, very imaginative!
Neat, Yellow Pen...challenging us to flip our perspective.
Jay
Yellow Pen, great idea. A standard type reflection picture, with a vague 'monster'. Well done.
My first one, by pure coincidence, also contains a dragon. You may think dragonsfire is bad to experience, but this is a dragonshout. Its very disorienting, they say. Of course, I used some reflections in this piece. Hope you can see some.
Title: Dragonshout
thanks Jamahoney. I like to work with different Perspectives... and I'm still learning.
Hansmar: another Dragon , I like the Colors.
Yellow Pen - lovely idea and render
Hansmar - beautiful, love the colors and the ray-effect
