Unfortunately, my attempt to increase the gravity in the exact same simulation, resulted in..

It may work to simply increase the stabilization time -- lengthen the draping time, essentially.

I hope I'm not cursing it, but dForce has been weirdly well behaved for me in 4.11. Fewer explosions, anyway. (Mind, 4.11 has its own issues. But still.)

I'm giving up for now but I'll try it again when I get motivated.

I tend to have poor luck with Dforcing clothing... And it takes about 20 minutes to simulate. That is time, I'd rather be doing other things

On the subject of female clothing usable as male outfits, I wanted a sarong and my friend Nic Recommended this: dForce Pareos Pack for Genesis 8 females.

The half sarong, looks pretty good. That combined with the new set over at Rendo with dForce Tropical Leaf Outfit for Genesis 8 Female and you have quite a nice outfit. I recolored the pareos with the tropical shaders.

So, I have been messing around with dforce-ready clothing, and I find they aren't doing as well as I would like with action poses. Is there something I'm missing here? Shouldn't his shirt hang open instead of clinging to the abs like this?

Is that the Poolside Oahu outfit? Try deleting the dForce Dynamic Addons from the scene. Try reducing friction in the Surfaces pane. Check for surfaces with reduced dynamic strength. Check for weight maps that might be masking dynamic draping in areas.

With that sort of animated pose the entire shirt tail should be behind his back and almost completely draped down most likely outcome but not guaranteed. You may have to create a pose of two prior to the pose he's in there and dForce the poses in order to get the draping going right.

The Street Smarts Outfit looks goofy as hell. Baggy jeans don't fall like that at all and they're textured differently, too.

(I also never saw anybody who dresses like that and that belt looks like it's time-travelled from 2003. But that might just be me not being familiar with whatever subculture this represents.)

LOL, well in defense of that style that's how all guys that shop at WalMart dress like if they've not got a significant other to stop them. That's how I dress too much of the time.

Ok, I can kinda see what they're going for. Except for the pulled up knee socks + below-the-knee baggy shorts combo. That's just... NOPE. NEVER. JUST NO.

On dForce (keep in mind that I'm far from an expert): Increase stabilisation time, and/or use wind nodes to try and blow the shirt backwards.

I will try it. I confess my time with daz studio is fairly limited so my interest in tweaking stuff and resimulating is fairly low. It takes about two minutes to simulate on my computer and that is before I render, so I prefer to build scenes than to simulate.

i wish I could batch proceeds simulation and render like I do with batch render.

Batching is what you'd be doing if you create 2 prior poses as if you were animating in the timeline and then render dForce as an animation.

Interesting. I may have to try that then.

I received Premium Props Park Bench as a recent freebie, and decided to use it here for my October Scene. It has some interesting extras including those trash props. I added the discarded pumpkin.

I  also used Look at me 2, which ended up giving Owen and Boyd an intense mutual stare. Are they getting over a disagreement?

They do sometimes disagree, but not for long.

So, on the subject of male content, here is hell Ambassador for G8M. He comes with a nice Fruit bat-like, head and a puzzle-box kind of whorly body that is rather ornate. he has several colors included, no gens. (Check Renderotica).

I confess to picking this one up to trigger a sale. I like him from the head up but I find his lower body shape rather uninspired. I think what you are paying for is the cool texture, which someone I know described as looking like a Mayan calendar.

I checked, and he looks nice with other textures like Ozias for G8M, so if you want a more alien creature, it is easy to apply another skin.

I must point out, that he has very interesting teeth. Hell has got a great dental plan it seems.

This is a genderbent pose set from Don't leave me pose set https://www.daz3d.com/dont-leave-me-poses-for-genesis-8-females-and-males

This pa makes several interesting pose sets, and they aren't just the usual filler. They also make flat feet, and high heeled versions for the ladies. I think they do some good work, and are worth checking out.

    Love it! So sexy!

The right cheek seems a little off, perhaps fit-control might help?

On the subject of Male Releases here is Alaric HD for Genesis 8 Male. https://www.daz3d.com/alaric-hd-for-genesis-8-male

Alaric has his own HD preset, body hair, and skin tone, with several different options. He has a Nordic Blonde look, and is quite ripped. He looks like a fit middle-aged man.

My only wish would be that the nipples could be lighter. They are quite dark.

Here is  Radioactive Soldier For G8M. You get a suit, mask, belt, gloves, boots and bag with the set. The red and orange version do not have much protection on the back of the neck. This looks like it has some nice bits for kitbashing- the backpack for example might work with other sets.  I'm not sure this will be particularly effective at stopping rads but it looks kind of cool.

I'm a little curious about that outfit, or specifically the pack actually. Can those metal thingies be hidden, so it looks more like a backpack of sort?

  • nonesuch00nonesuch00 Posts: 18,163

The masks remind me of Spy vs Spy from Mad Magazine.

The bag works great for a backpack. I think the metal things are part of the mask.

there are some adjustments on the straps to pull them down, but this is how it fits by default.

There are 3 mat zones, including one for the bag, so it can be recolored.

Blitz Girl by Oskarsson was a recent purchase. I am a sucker for Old timey army stuff, and this looks pretty good on Boydette...  In theory the girls are wearing nylons, but I honestly can't tell... They look just like their bare legs to me. I am actually suprised at how well Gianni 7's skin looks on Genesis 8 female. Very porcelin looking.

I had wanted to do a picture with one of my favorite fall treats, caramel apples, and found these toffee apples instead.  I had to make a pose, since there were none. The toffee apple is a freebie here: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/toffee-apple/61905

I've always considered Labor Day the 1st day of autumn although around here the leaves won't turn to about the 3rd week of October. I've always considered Labor Day and Arbor Day to be the same day because as a kid, either Illinois or Indiana held Arbor Day on the same day as Labor Day so the schools would always have Arbor Day decorations up around the 2nd of September.
