    I had an OK Boomer experience today

    I lost my credit card and stupidly thought the customer service desk at a supermarket would have access to a phonebook 

    so I could get the number for the bank and use the nearby public phone

    I didn't have my phone on me

    I still get one dropped of at my house and my work had them too

    but people are laughing at me on facebook posting about it

    I had to walk a kilometre back to my house to use mine in the end

    I did post to the Bank that they need a customer assistance number on their ATM and they at least seemed to my feedback seriously

    apparently we are boomers, you more marginally than me

    I grew up thinking the baby boom ended 1960 but now they include up to 1964

    I was considered Generation X as a teen onwards 

    but they moved the dates later after being told all my early life I wasn't one by my older peers

    2023 my retirement year.

    does Australia have a retirement favorite place, like Florida?

    i'm thinkin retiring abroad.

    i don't feel the hot like i used to. 
    wouln't want to be near fire zones. i'm not independently mobile.

    living within my social security is gonna be like impossible in the states.

    my friend's mom is on a 8 year waiting list for assisted living. 
    luckily i don't need 'assisted living', but i do need ramp access cuz i walk with a rollator.

    we have roos all around us where I live. 

    unfortunately unless you are a millionaire you wouldn't be eligible to move over to here, they would deny, at best would probably be a 12 month visa.

    nope.. for a healthy working person with a clean record it costs around $10,000 for a permanent residency visa after all the red tape... any health issues will mean rejection. frown 

    unless you have the $$$$$$$$$$$$'s to cover for future medical costs.

    even if you marry an Aussie over there it won't be recognised here... need to get married here and then pay about $10,000 and get through the red tape to stay ;-)

    there is actually quite a market for certain types of renders

    if you are open to suggestions for any kink requested
