i was watching stargate atlantis, every time they went back to earth they showed an exterir estabishing shot of the cheyenne mountain tunnl entrance

it inspired a thught to show alpha base exterior as an establishing shot before going to an interior scene'

 

shape lights are so perfect.

could be an interesting project for you to model exteriors for them

you could replicate greebles on a basic hull like the millennium Falcon

I am guessing you do not have any mountains/big hills that could turn into mudslides in your area?  They have the grasshopper thing in Africa.

tried something three times now and crashed my computer when it went over 8 GB

my graphics card VRAM still had plenty overhead 

trying setting affinity and priority now but its still hitting the 8GB

my other PC has 16GB
