If you have a Pope and an Antipope, they could mutually annihilate each other.  However, they can not be created or destroyed, merely transformed into another form (cf. transubstantiation).  This principle is known as Conservation of Mass.

I might have an Olivia Pope.

But that reminds me of something I was reading in a forum long ago. A person was asking what scientific reason would there be to believe in life after death. And one person replied, "conservation of energy". This was on the grounds that if life force was some form of energy then it had to carry on somewhere in some form. Like a Pope, I guess.

Yet another opportunity to wheel out an old Monty Python sketch.  Llamas of course.

  • I find myself perplexed, There are no logs in here. There is scarcely enough room to lie down.
I dimly recall that I once knew a Count. Or was it a Duke?
I sense some conspiracy with this talk of secret words. Perchance I have awakened amidst a plot ?
The bugs here have no subtlety. They scuttle. They chew. I hear music.
The only coop I know of is for the keeping of fowl.
But it is too small here to keep fowl.
    And dark.
    And cold.

Alas, it appears that this thread unnecessarily aroused me from my slumber, to which I shall henceforth return.

Storytelling mode:  My llama experience.  Last year before I had to sell my car, I took a mini-adventure drive in the country and found my way to the local llama farm.  I went because of an advertisement in the local "Penny Saver" free newspaper rag for free coffee and donuts (Life is generally dull around here.  So, free coffee and donuts rate at least a mini-adventure).  When I drove up I found 3 other cars parked on their front lawn, so I parked in the only remaining open space, leaving the driveway clear for tractors or whatever farm vehicle might be needing access.  Then an exhausting (exhausting for a 71 year old man with heart arrhythmia) walk up the hill to the back of the house where a good sized tent sheltering a couple tables had been setup to serve 50 people coffee and donuts.  I saw a couple llamas in the barnyard and a few in the distant field.  But of course the reason for the advertisement was to lure people into the giftshop where one could buy all manner of items made from llama wool.  All very nice and uber expensive.  So, I went back outside to enjoy my free coffee and donuts.  That being a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and the pile of donuts being hardly touched, I hope they sold a sweater or two.

Note:  I went nowhere near the llamas because I've seen enough YouTube videos to know the look of gleeful malice in the facial expression of a llama just before it "hocks a lougy" at you.no

    Definition:  Llama -- stealth camel.

I don't know if I'd be reincarnated into a llama or Kerry Washington. Either way, I'd go for one of the donuts.

So no such thing as mass destruction?

  • I had to shutdown my computer and go to the other side of the house because of my neighbours chemical fumes

I cannot even open a window for fresh air because it's awful

I don't know what he is doing, it's on his car and involves a compressor and smells like acetone

    I just feel sick

Is there a safe openair cafe or somewhere you could go for a couple hours to get away from the smell?

is 8:30 pm and I don't drive and as luck has it no windows this side of the house,

my cats are stuck here too.

I will try and seal the old aircon by the computer that faces their house tomorrow as that is the main place it gets in
