He looks great, but I think he looks cramped in his bowl. I assume I can just scale it to whatever size I want.

Yes, it's free to scale. I see what you mean by it being a bit cramped. I'll try if I can adjust it some :)

  • Perhaps a rectangular tank?

I am so glad to see a good looking fish and realistic tank!

And yes a bigger tank or smaller fish would look even more realistic.

Thanks for all the input and responses! I was on the fence about a rectangular tank, I'm going to throw it back onto my "this might be a great idea, but hmm, it takes some more time" pile :D
If I have any remarkable updates, I'll be posting them here.

I like the fish but I hate the fish bowl.  Nothing against the model or you, but I personally hate fish bowls.  They are horrible for fish especially goldfish.  I think fish bowls are only good for one thing, something decorative to put business cards or filled out forms for a raffle.

They are cute comet goldfish which should be treated better than a fish bowl.  Koi need to be in a pond not a bowl.

I love the fish models, though and hope you make more verity of aquarium fish.  Maybe other breeds of goldfish or other species such as guppies.

i might get this just to make textures just for the fish as adding or something.  Basically for the fish.  I love fish.  Fish are friends, not food.

Anything that is better than a bowl.  I loathe fish bowls are they are not designed for fish in mind.

I like the fish bowl. It is cute and the expected thing to hold a single goldfish, at least back in my childhood days of goldfish ownership. in my opinion, it just needs to be a little bigger or the fish needs to be a little smaller. Maybe it is just the refraction of the glass and water that makes the fish look too big for his bowl. Anyway, I look forward to it being available.

  • I'd love to see koi.

I love this idea.  More stuff to make an environment more realistic.  I do hope you move forward with it!

I like the bowl too. It's quite similar to the one I had as a kid and Roly and Poly seemed to enjoy it. They got their exercise once a week in the kitchen sink when we cleaned the bowl (in the bathroom). I've been waiting for something like these fish! Look great.

Fishy looks great, the additional skins are nice!. As for the bowl, it represents what often is seen, so its perfect, but maybe add a second option like a tank cube or a fishtank in a wall for the fish lovers who want to give him the best possible living space ;)

Black Moor goldfish a morph option? As child I had three black moors in my fish bowl. I had them all for 4 years before they went to fishy heaven. Those little bug-eyed guys were like mini hammerhead sharks and I loved them to bits.

Love the textures, some really great scales and colour options!

Thanks everyone for your ideas and comments! Some things have been in the making, or were even already included in the set. Will keep you updated!

I'd love to include the morph, but it asks for quite a lot of work as the Moor's body is quite different as that of a common goldfish. I might make an addon on a later date (together with other morphs such as veil-tails), depending on popularity :)

I'm not sure that stand is safe. It needs a base at least the same width as the aquarium and a few inches more front and back. With that weight of water it wouldn't take much to knock it over. I've had aquariums for sixty years and wouldn't have that in the house :)

Thanks for dropping by and weighing in! I modelled it from a real life model aquarium stand But I have taken your concerns into consideration and made the base wider :D

If you look at this one it has a base. Still doesn't look safe to me though smiley (I've had up to five aquarium on the go at times and, even though they were on full stands, I had to watch the children, first my own two and now five grandchildren, like a hawk in case they tried to climb up to get a better look surprise )

Even if it is isn't a morph, and you create the black moors as a stand alone product, I'd buy it. It's great seeing some new aquatic animals being made, and I am very excited for this!

Sea turtles, eagle/manta rays, whale sharks, a new dolphin, all welcome if you are looking for ideas ;p

Aww, cute name. Hammer, Beady, and Blackie were mine. Loved those fish!

It's rather past time that we got some new fish. The ones in the store mostly came out over a decade ago.

I agree.  I want guppies, not just Mr. Guppy but Ms. Guppy too and baby guppies.  Real male guppies love making baby guppies.

I am a bit slow but I finally managed to send in an updated version with some fixes and added props. There's also an extra full black texture added, which make it a total of 5 textures for the goldfish.
And I LOVE guppies! I've also had them and it seemed that every time I'd look into the aquarium I would see new babies, so cute.
