I am a bit slow but I finally managed to send in an updated version with some fixes and added props. There's also an extra full black texture added, which make it a total of 5 textures for the goldfish.
And I LOVE guppies! I've also had them and it seemed that every time I'd look into the aquarium I would see new babies, so cute.

A product worth waiting for. Ready for launch on this!

And waiting I have .... patiently. Any ETA on this? 1 week? 1 month? 1 year? What's the word? I'd prefer to buy it here, instead of somewhere else.

It's up to DAZ to decide when to release it. :) It should be "soon".

Oops I should have waited and not gotten the puzzle from Amazon.  This beautiful fish just came out.

Nice job, I just picked this up! I don't really have a need for it at the moment, but wanted to show my support for this type of product and for your invlovement in this thread.

If interested, I would love a North Amercian fish package in the future. I do outdoor images for a publisher and quality rigged fish models are next to impossible to find.

I threw together a quick render of MAXX feeding his fish. If I were those fish, I'd worry about that tattoo!

I appreciate the poses that come with this product, as well as the props and material choices.

Thank you so much for your support and I hope the set comes in handy for many renders to come! Love the image, the stark contrast of the bulkiness of the man with the little fish is adorable!

@FSMCDesigns Thanks for your kind words, it means a lot! Seeing all the requests seem to indicate that there's need for an add-on or a kind of mixed fish species pack. I wil have a good look at this!

Thanks EVERYONE! I am a bit overwhelmed but I am very happy that this little guy has found a good home with you! :D

I want to show my appreciation for all the support I've gotten with a little present! It's a waterplant called "Amazon Sword" and it's suited for the colder environment where goldfish also thrive in. Enjoy!

I purchased this and hope to see more from you!

I couldn't find any other products from you. Are you a new PA or just starting fresh with new items? :)

I found this thread well before the release, and it was the first product in my cart the day of release. A goldfish in a bowl brings back childhood memories.

And if you're taking requests for future products, I'd love a fantail goldfish. Ideally the textures would be interchangable between the two products, but I can understand if that's not possible. Here are some images I found with a google search. First, a nice video:

And then a couple of images I thought were great examples of their coloring:

Anyway, it's just an idea… I really love your goldfish!

Has anyone found Nemo or Dory yet? Oh, wait... they're saltwater fish... (Hint, nudge) devil

@FSMCDesigns Haha, those fish must be quite puzzled about the mini-human in their tank XD. Nice one! @Barbult that render came out beautifully! Love the little head poking through the castle! Great to see some aquarium renders. <3 @L'Adair Fantail morphs were originally on my list of morphs but it would take some extra rigging and I wasn't quite sure if that would work out on this model. I might experiment with Geografts as an add-on. So far, I am blown away by the support the goldfish has gotten, so it might be worth looking into the requests and awesome inspiration I've seen people posting. @dragonfly_2004 I like the idea of some kind of salt water species pack! As I said, the little guy has gotten enough support in order for me to consider a follow up. But as of now, they are still ideas that only exist on paper. I'll update here when any ideas materialize. Thank you all for the lovely input and renders!

@Sylvan, I figured the mesh would have to change to support the fan tails. I don't know much of anything about modeling, but I wasn't thinking of a morph for the existing goldfish, more of a new mesh using the existing fish mesh as a starting point. It would be nice if the two could share textures, but looking closer at the fantails, I don't think that will work. So not an add-on, but a totally new product.

From what i've seen so far, you do really good work and I want to throw more money in your direction. I hope that's all right with you… wink

Apologies for the late reply, but newborn is keeping me quite busy.

I picked up your goldfish yesterday, and am now downloading it. Thank you so much for creating this product, and I look forward to using it in renders soon.

    Hi,

You should change/make an additional setting to the round aquarium. As in barbult's post your could see the background behind the tank is pretty distorted.

I think setting it "thin walled" might do the trick. I posted the aquarium with the original settings and changed the water and the tank to "thin walled".

    ps:

"Care to join me for dinner?"

I think the distortion is more natural. Curved glass and water will cause distortion. I actually expected more distortion.

To a level distortion is natural, but if you can't make out the thing behind it it's unnatural.  If you look at something through the middle point it should not be shifted by the glass.

ps: Additional material setting would help to make close pictures, I was suggesting for it.

Hi and thanks for your comment! I have been debating between the thin and more volumic approach and decided for the last one for realism sake. But I am working on a small update and could ask DAZ to include a small update for the glass and water shader as well. I'll be submitting it this week. If for any reason the update cannot be included, I'll offer it as a free download.

    Keeping you posted!

(Loving the the renders with the kitties by the way!)

Very cute, Ivy! I was especially inpressed with your good use of the goldfish morphs to create the swimming action. The ending was great!
