Very cute, Ivy! I was especially inpressed with your good use of the goldfish morphs to create the swimming action. The ending was great!

    Thank you barbult

Good news! The files have been updated with thin glass shaders. The update should be available through DIM now. Enjoy!

Bad News!!! I updated with Daz Connect, and it completely broke the product. All product assets have bad thumbnails. Props will not load. Now I cannot use the product at all. I'm sure it is not your fault, @Sylvan. Daz Connect updates occasionally break working products. There is no way to undo an update. The customer is at the mercy of customer support and whenever they get around to fixing their corrupted Daz Connect package.

Will the images (textures or PNG thumbnails) open in an image editor? Can you uncompess the .duf files without error? If not I would suspect that they are not decrypting correctly after download - I have had that happen once or twice following an update to a product, it got better after a while so I suspect it was related to the tiem it tooks the CDN to update (but that's my suspicion, not the word from Daz).

No, the PNG thumbnails will not open. Invalid Image is displayed.

No, the DUF files do not uncompress with 7Zip.

  • So I guess it's not decrytping, for whatever reason. Please open a support ticket - they may be able to kick the servers, or whatever the problem link in the chain is.

Yup, I know the drill. I've already submitted Request #292750.

I manually install everything so the update worked perfect for me.  Thanks for the update. :)

I tried with DIM and that seemed to work OK. I hope DAZ is on the corrupted connect files soon, so they will work as well.

  • We have reuploaded the installer.  It will take a little time to sync across all the servers.

Hi and thanks for your comment! I have been debating between the thin and more volumic approach and decided for the last one for realism sake. But I am working on a small update and could ask DAZ to include a small update for the glass and water shader as well. I'll be submitting it this week. If for any reason the update cannot be included, I'll offer it as a free download.

    Keeping you posted!

(Loving the the renders with the kitties by the way!)

Thx and thx for the update. It's good to see a PA taking good care of her/his products.

I picked this prop because I want to do a Virtual Novel with a cat and couldn't miss this fun for him.  We have cats and one of them is a real hunter, he was hanging on the bars in the air and had his face glued to the cage, when we were taking care for a friend's animal for a few day, the cat watched it soo intensely.

No update shows up yet in Daz Connect yet. Will this show up as an update, or is it one of those things where you just have to magically know that you have to uninstall and reinstall?

    Has the issue been solved?

@Miss Bad Wolf Thanks for your support and I hope you will be able to make some lovely renders with it! Enjoy!

No update ever showed up in Daz Connect. (It did in DIM.) Eventually I uninstalled the product with Daz Connect and reinstalled the product with Daz Connect. The new files are there. I guess it is resolved, other than that people who don't follow this thread and who use Daz Connect will probably never know they need to uninstall and reinstall. This is not the first product to suffer from updates that never appear as updates in Daz Connect. When I am aware of one, I submit a support ticket. CS just says to uninstall and reinstall. That doesn't help anyone who doesn't know there should be an update available, though, so that frustrates me.
