Yes nutz youse gets some of our daylight, we gets some of your dark  Doesn't seem like a fair swap unless you throw in a full moon as well every once in a while
...which is why I wish I could afford to live in Hawai'i (in Hilo) not much of a variance in length of day through the year.

Unfortunately, the only US territories that are on or very close to the equator are designated wildlife refuges and thus are off limits to inhabitation.

need to focus on socking away the retirement funds, while i still have a job. the lotto is a backup plan, but i need a plan A.

so, if i had a roomate  to share the 3 bedroom/2 bath, could make the 3rd bedroom an office. :)

Wow! :bug: The starting price is a little bit more than I pay for my mortgage! And that's only because the insurance and real estate taxes are escrowed into it. Without them it's about $750 -$800.

DISCLAIMER!!!!! it is a historical painting!! I did not paint or RENDER it!!

Is that the Proclamation of South Austrailia? At the Old Gum Tree? Wasn't that on the 28th, in 1836? Or is this some other ceremony?

    Dana

Pretty sure the proclamation wuz was a British Parliament thing in 1834, maybe the paperwork didn't get there until 1836 ? :)

Well, I'm only going by what I find on the Internet...here.

I wasn't even aware of that picture before now :)
(I don't keep up with most music groups. Nightwish is kinda my one-and-only in that regard ^^)

Actually I adopted the idea from a picture of Suwako Moriya I saw where she had a similar necklace being worn. I highly doubt it was a direct reference to that image either, more rather a reference to one of her spells where she conjures several iron rings bound together (She is a goddess of the mountains, and creating earth is her specialty)
    .
    .

    Ability to create earth

Suwako's ability specifically refers to the element of Kun (坤), one of the eight trigrams in Taoist philosophy. Kun is associated with acceptance, devotion, subtlety, flexibility, and reacting to others rather than acting first. Kanako Yasaka's ability to create the heavens, or Qian (乾), refers to the opposite element.

It's a very Final Fantasy-ish painting kinda... What with all that detail n stuff. That spear really invokes images of legendary spears from the series in my mind (Namely the Gae Bolg and Zodiak Spear). It's very rare to see this level of detail in Touhou fanart. Usually people keep it stylized and cell-shaded and whatnot. :)

First time rendering these four figures -

Medusa (One of the first things I bought at DAZ too!), a kid's pirate ship freebie, a figure from Renderosity named 'Fon', and a very very very old prop from here at DAZ - a sword collection :)

Didn't spend too long on it, but wanted to do somethings!
