Thank you all very much...well when I mess with anything too long...it gets to me not in a good way so ...here it is my final render....New Beginning.......Trish
Jay: looks like pretty soon that acorn will be one large tree....nice root system
Thought I'd have loads of crashes with this homemade Dandelion (seed-head), however, had only two - after some adjustments. Don't know if it is 'spring'(y) enough, however, like my first entry, I'm approaching it from the theme of new life beginnings as spring kicks in.
Thanks, Horo...such wonderful objects these Dandelion seed-heads are.
Don't know if other countries get them, let alone wish upon them, but they are always welcome here - no matter how spreading of the Dandelion floor (lovely flower - sometimes considered a weed in these parts of the world) they are responsible for.
Some wishes have come through over the years. Lets hope the next one (never say, or tell anyone, what it is as it looses value) comes true, too ;)
@Jay: That image is a novel idea, and the Dandelion seeds are terrific looking. Some people eat Dandelion greens over here. And many, like me, spray to get rid of them. Flower is pretty, but they spread faster than the grass we're trying to grow.
Yeah, Guss...I actually like them - have a meadow nearby and when they come into flower all at once, a carpet of yellow unrolls. Made some Dandelion wine some years back, and, hic, burp...not bad at all (reminds me I'll have to dig out the demijohn again ;) ).
@Jay: I've heard about Dandelion wine also, though never tasted it. I agree, out in a field a carpet of yellow Dandelion flowers is pretty. But not in my yard. ;-)
Mermaid...hope your wish comes through. These seed heads, if you don't have them in your region, are truely extraordinary objects of nature - some say they have been mathematically designed by the big guy (BG). Now, personally, I don't believe in the BG, but as to the mathematics involved, well, yes ;)
Well, I created a second entry for this challenge using metaballs for the most part. The objects aren't meant to be actual models, but more my opinions of weeds in our yard. It's titled "Our yard at Spring Time." And believe it or not, that's pretty much how it looks until the grass starts greening.
Comments
@Jay: Go ahead, pun away. I get the drift of your image, though I've been told never to bother yellow snow or ground. :cheese:
U..R..INEvitably correct, Guss ;) Jeex, the puns, the puns are out to get me... :roll:
Jay
@Jay: :lol::lol:
Trish – the new renders are lovely, I like the second one you posted, the one you rendered with a different water.
Guss – the “Spring time” is very nicely done. It’s so cool you used different programs for the modelling and final render in Bryce.
Jay- looking good

Jay - I made my wish. :-)
;-)
So, it's done.
Here is my last entry: Tender feelings.
The rendertime was more than 14 hours. Enough. *gggggg*
@Jay: I've heard about Dandelion wine also, though never tasted it. I agree, out in a field a carpet of yellow Dandelion flowers is pretty. But not in my yard. ;-)
@yellow Pen: Nice work.
Beautiful entries from Jay and Yellow Pen. Jay I made a wish too.....
