Well, this thread is in Commons, now.....maybe that means it's hitting the store soon? Or has it been for a while--I can't keep up!

It was in Member's only from the 11th to the morning of the 16th, and was moved in (for me) late morning to the Commons.

The question then becomes ... is this a 3 day weekend for DAZ? (It's a 4 day weekend for my daughter, but a normal weekend for my husband.)

Some very fine products on brink of release - however, I can't help but think how unrealistic G2M looks in certain poses, particularly a lot of these promos where his arms are flexed but the biceps have no size or definition. Boris HD is a fantastic product and helps to address this but for that shape only, and to have a universal system with a similar level of detail now that HD technology is possible, would be phenomenal!

Everything looks really great! Too bad I will miss all the sales as I can impossibly afford anything more this month... vet bills. :(

I am still very excited for this figure!

Did I miss it or did I not see one full set of Modern clothing? Much other nice stuff I really like and want but I so was hoping for some modern stuff too. Everyday people stuff is on my please make more list. I'll add a Pretty Please if that helps any.

That's what I was wondering about too...
Well, maybe he still lives somewhere out there in the jungle and isn't discovered yet... Remember Tarzan?

Well, there are a few things I would like to get and I'm sure there will be a lot of happy people here once he'll be released. :-)

    Love, Jeanne :)

    Jeanne or Jane? :P

The new figure sounds much like a mix of, let's see... Tarzan and Shagga from George Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire"? Gia's counterpart?

    This might be interesting...

I took a look at the thread. First of all, I'm delighted with the scar Kronos has. Gosh, I need such thing badly, although on the right eye, not on the left - and less visible after a couple of years. I also like Jason and Ryze morphs. Your pack, Sickle, sounds very good, give us more promos please :).

What is strange is that there is almost no trace of hairstyles (I do hope Valea's shop will get a huuuge discount). Are there any gossips on the bundles' prices? Even though I do not favour any even slightly revealing clothes, Jungle Girl hit the bullseye. It morphs like a dream, so a male friend is... appreciated.

While i have very little use (or interest) in male figures, those are some nice looking teaser promos and I can see a few things that will be useful, thanks for the HU.

I'd really like to know what those buying the pro bundle think I can't decide to get the Pro bundle, or the Starter Bundle and then the other bits and pieces I want.

A bit high but it's a Male, so I'm gong for the Pro Bundle & all Poser stuff to go with him, over one Hundred dollars.

    Except for:

    ShoXoloR for Ancient Combat Hair

    Ancient Combat Ponytail Add-on Pack

Even tho it says it's for Poser the Base says DAZ ONLY. :(

Love Gianni 6 & all the stuff for him Awesome Work!!!!

Thank you to all the vendors that did allow Poser members to buy your products. :) :) :)

I am going Pro, and also getting the Edric Hair, Dynamic Loincloths (kitbashing only), Capsces Poses, and FW Jason.
Congrats to the vendors! Ya'll did a very nice job. I'm sure a lot of this will show up in my art studio thread in the upcoming weeks. :)

I ended up getting the Pro Bundle but it was close - when I added up the stuff I definitely wanted to get it came to 2 or 3 dollars under the pro bundle, and at that close I figured getting the others for the few extra bucks was worth it even if they only maybe get used.

Also grabbed the Capsces pose set (and the two olympia sets with the 45% disc), the extra expression pack, the combat hair ponytail and SY's Mighty Gianni - mostly for the boots! I'm not into supermusclebound so the morphs will probably never be used (they look great, just not my thing).

I had my make it rain coupon, so that bought it down to a bit over $90 all up, and I'm pretty happy with that for the amount I got. :)

Though a Studio update and a pro bundle on the same day are going to kill my bandwidth allowance /o\

Only had a short while to look things over before heading off to work but so far it's all very impressive! Picked up the pro bundle, Jason, and a few other things . Put most of the rest of The Gianni based items in my wish list for next week.

Thank you to all the Artists and everyone else at Daz who worked on this. It all looks like it's going to be great fun to work with!

Yeah, it looks like the only thing of interest are the characters and the hair.

When it comes to male clothes, I'm more interested in uniforms. Men in uniform are VERY sexy and inspiring to me, Firemen, police, military (of any and all eras). There's also a lack of fantasy/medieval armor and clothing. And of course only ONE superhero outfit for GM2. GM2 has enough casual clothes to start with just need more interesting outfits.

Good point, uniforms are nice. There is a set of sailor clothes I like (ShareCG or Rendo) and of course M6 Pro Bundle got one, but there is such a variety that's ommitted. Sickleyield's prison rags could fit the genre too!

This may actually be the first time in two years that I am NOT buying the Pro Bundle. I have every single one, so that's saying a lot- because I am not going to buy a bundle that is chocked full of skimpy loin cloths and underwear. There's absolutely nothing- nothing- practical for this character so far as decent clothing to wear as casual clothing. If the bundle has a lot of characters, poses, and hair, then I will. But I will be adding up the items to see if they are a better bargain separately.

The characters and hair look really nice, that dip in between the brows adds a nice touch, kudos to everyone on their character and hair work. The outfits are well done and I know for many people, the loincloth type clothes will come in handy and of course, the clothes are nicely done too. Love the poses!

Let's hope there will be other sets as well. Fantasy IS NOT all about loincloths, mind it, vendors! Wouldn't you like a paladin armour, for instance? Or a Roman-inspired set of clothes? Of course, when it comes to realistic contemporary stuff, you'd expect biker leathers and other gym-related items. I also second the need for formal clothes.

So which female would John be the partner of,
Jane (Gia) is likely his sister so that leaves Olympia, although I didn't see many clothing styles that matched with her wardrobe

There are too many females. Males have to be shared, I'm afraid.

    * * *

Lastly, I will share a humble rant on males. Why are there NO ROGUE CLOTHES, I ask you?! Don't tell me you wouldn't like to see some thugs (Gianni would fit), dashing thieves and such. So far, no legend in leather, no dark archer (if you know what puns I inserted here :P). In RPG, there's that classic trio warrior-mage-rogue. They make such awesome kickass characters and when you use all those light sets like InaneGlory's, you're bound to win.

I freely confess I've been banging on for ages about the need for decent rigged loincloths, so I'm certainly not complaining at all that we have some additions to the wardrobe today (but I might do more fantasy pin-up stuff than many).

Now I better stock up on some groceries before making any purchases... count the shekels and hope I can go pro with a couple of choice extras.

    *** *** ***

Still high on my wish list are kit-bashable leather and metal armour sets a.k.a. good practical stuff and relatively genereric i.e. classical and medieval shapes instead of overly stylised fantasy shapes (don't get me wrong, quality stylised stuff would be welcome too, but authentic styles are more versatile for kit-bashing)...

I know they'd be a real biatch to make, so I'm not complaining exactly, more hoping... well, begging's more like it

Oh, how I agree with you! My greatest headache in all shops with 3D models is a weird urge to throw in high-heels into what's supposed to be down-to-Earth, practical clothes (and they usually get called "fantasy ranger" etc.). Isn't that irrational? Who would go out in high-heels? In a forest??? Or mud-ladden medieval streets?

I want unisex, practical, nothing-fancy clothes: hooded cloaks, long and relatively tight trousers, shirts and blouses with long and tight sleeves that don't get in your way, some leather tunics. Not corsets, tunics. Check any museum for good insight on what people used to wear in middle ages for example. Something similar to some of these garments: http://darkfate.org/view/simple/files/images/sketches/thief4/garrett.jpg - but not exactly, less steampunk and more medieval.

Use your imagination without losing simple rule of reasonability, vendors. Nobody will "go adventuring" in high-heels, revealing top and sexy shorts, because this makes no sense! Bracers and greaves are not meant to be elegant: they aim to protect certain parts. If you're not a warrior (think of knights, paladins, squires and alike), then you would probably not want to slow yourself down wearing metal bracers and leather ones would be your choice. Metal is heavy and prone to turning hot; armies fell due to standing in the full sun in metal armour (the best example is battle of Grunwald AD 1410). Archers or people who rely on sneaking will not benefit from using metal ensembles. Outfits which reveal tummies are mindless, because they make you vulnerable to several kinds of injuries (protect your innards, boys and girls!). Cloaks shouldn't have embroidery (after searching high and low for a dark grey or black texture for Hooded Cloak, I had to texture it myself: every set was a fancy one and attention-arousing). You're not going to a ball, it's just business.

I picked up the pro bundle. Great stuff, but I was wondering about the wet skin looks in some of the promos. Will they be available as a texture option? Or was that done using a product that already exists?

Probably LIE texture editor was used. Check several sets with "wet" keyword in the shop. It can be done with the following:

Just like Olympia 6, why is Gianni 6 a standalone, totally separate character/bundle? If they are both Gen 2 , why can't they just be applied to V6/M6? Why the need to sell them as totally new characters? Is this just to keep the money train 'a rollin'?

In what way would we profit from having to purchase V6 in order to use Olympia 6?

Unless you're only talking about the UV maps.

For people asking for Modern Clothes just a reminder that Gianni can use all the previous dynamic clothes available like the Michael 5: Dynamic wardrobe and the Dynamic casuals for Generation 2 Male(s). And all those will conform with static drapes since they are Genesis 1 & 2.

    http://www.daz3d.com/michael-5-the-dynamic-wardrobe
    http://www.daz3d.com/dynamic-casuals-for-genesis-2-male-s

You can also use on him the Freak 5 Dynamic Wardrobe http://www.daz3d.com/freak-5-the-dynamic-wardrobe for loose tight clothes combinations and shrink on x & y for different looks if you have the Dynamic Clothes advanced plugin http://www.daz3d.com/dynamic-clothing-control.

Pros in the cart as I will fully support such a great release. Often with the female offerings I just picked up the base and a few of the seperates. But this release? Heck no, it's all good. Still have to go through the stuff that wasn't included and see what extras I want!
