OH. MY. GOD!!! :bug: YES!!! YES ON THE BALLET POSES AND POINTED SHOES!! :cheese:

Okay, this is definitely going to be a Day 1 purchase for me! We FINALLY have an official Fantasy/Sci-Fi female!

Her body is perfect! She will without a doubt become my new main ingredient for slim/slender females. :)

I can see lots of effort put into the character, however with the exception of her slender frame she looks similar to other content sold at Daz and her features are too stylized for my preferences. Good luck with the sale. I may pick up a few hairs and anything specifically sci-fi sold for her.

Nice job, fellow PA's! It's always fun to see what pops up with a figure release. Some lovely work here.

Since I don't do much in the Fairy category (or even elves all that much) I'd expected my reaction to be "That's cute" and my wish-list to grow by maybe 5-10 items - mostly hair and a few characters and maybe one or two clothing items.

But Xena's character and outfit... Okay, that I want. (May still end up on the wish list, since funds are a bit tight for the next week, but it will be a priority wish list item.)

Good thing I saved my PC coupon, plus have a few pennies extra. This looks like a very good release. Very much looking forward to this.

Diane I love the ballet poses...being a former ballerina myself I say Bravo !!!!

Thank you! I really like Giselle's body and felt it was perfect for those type of poses :)

Diane, is the rest of the ballerina outfit included or available?

I'm definitely getting that one too! Sometimes I need cute, absolutely, but I can never get enough of wicked. ;)

I was thinking ... in some ways she looks a bit like a non-toon version of OOT's fiends :)

Wicked rocks. I have a feeling I'm going to spend way too much in a few days. ;-)

Oooh, very nice! Now I just need to convince myself to use makeups when putting together a character. It's like my kryptonite. :)

So my question never got answered in another thread. How does this "buy one and get 10% off, buy 2 and get 15% off" impact the price that PC members pay? Does it get tacked on?

  • nobody1954nobody1954 Posts: 933

Should be 10-15 percent automatically off the PC price when you put it in the cart. That is the way it worked for me in the past. If it doesn't work, say something.

I hope you don't mind my unofficial expectation; think of the discounts as multiples.

You start with the base price which I'll call X.

You then multiply by the new item discount X*0.7 for 30% off.

Then you multiply by the PC member discount, i.e. X*0.7*0.7 for 51% off.

You then multiply by the 'I bought cool stuff' discount, i.e. X*0.7*0.7*0.85 for a grand total of 58.35% off.

If you bought less cool stuff, then you go: X*0.7*0.7*0.9 for a grand total of 55.9% off.

    I hope that helps!

[Edit: As far as I can tell it's just a benny if you found yourself liking some of the stuff released today; if you buy it, instead of wishlisting it, you get a nice bonus in a few days when Giselle is released. The extra discount isn't going to make something you buy today essentially free, or make Giselle6 super-cheap or anything like that. It's just a reward for folks who choose to pull the trigger on the excellent stuff offered today, instead of waiting. Don't buy stuff just to get the discount, but if you do buy, you'll get a little reward.]

Yeah, I liked the outpost, and the jacket (adventure hats would be great, also: pith helmet, bush hat. etc.) Likely would have bought then any way.

I love that jacket but no Poser Companion files. Anybody know if it'll work in Poser? If so I can roll my own. :crosses fingers:

It all looks nice. 'Take my money, please.'

I used my Daz PC coupon today on the Retro spacesuit for $6 off of that, then I figure the 10% off Giselle will amount to about another $6 off of that, so it is like getting two PC coupons

I would generally welcome a fairy character. But I am surprisingly underwhelmed. OK, at this point I don't expect interesting items for the bundles any more.

But Giselle herself doesn't convince me either.
So it's another pale white girl. OK. With dark eyebrows again. OK. So I guess the texture is forgettable, except, maybe, the makeup which I almost never use.
And her body kind of seems to lack detail compared to the other Gen6 characters. Hadn't I known better, I would have assumed she is a Gen 5 character. Her hands appear to be out of proportion, too. And her face unfortunately reminds me of Stephanie 5 :/

    Overall, I'm not sold.

I like Zyra, though. Her burst is absolutely fearsome, and her root, ulti and plants give her quite a bit of utility, too.

I also would of love to get it but as it is not for poser, seem alot that I like is not for Poser, oh well think goodness there are other stores & the sells, which I have been spending hundreds of dollars at, way to much. lol :)

Hoping Daz get's better in the Poser world also. ;)

I'm doing my best.. one poser compatible G2 product at a time. Unfortunately I'm just one girl in a sea of people that don't seem to care.. I guess because I've been around long enough and I was always a primary DS user. I remember what it was like to look through the store (all the stores) and 1% of the products worked right out of the box in DS, 75% kinda half worked and needed a ton of adjustments, and the rest didn't work at all. I don't wish that on anyone, it's depressing.

I don't know if I have this power, but I submit and/or decree that this becomes the official explanation.

I won't be going for the pro bundle on this one but I see some useful hair items and clothing I will be getting. It's definitely a good figure for specific purposes. Might get the base figure as well just to "blend" it with some of the others for variety. Not sure though. Still on the fence there. Depends on overall cost when I add it to the things I KNOW that I will be purchasing. I have not used this months PC coupon yet so that might be a help In my decision making process. Overall it's a very nice product though.
