Ok, I will try to find something. I have seen a couple of packages for audio-reactive thing, not so sure about greeble.

Will try to import to Unity some greeble creation from Daz Studio and see what I can do.

Thanks, I already did a quick search and found some very interesting stuff for Unity - not with greebles, but lots of also interesting particle-effect-type stuff. Always good to have more options!

Also, nice improvement with the grass, looks much better already!

Thanks. Besides being addicted to Daz Studio, I also like to play with Unity - one can do a lot of things, not easily achieved within Daz Studio.

I have created 2 objects with greebles

exported them to Unity and animated them with audio using Apollo Visualizer Kit - below can be seen on YouTube

Nice, but very static - is it not possible to use the exported morphs in unity?

Probably, but I do not know, how, yet.

Well, let me know when you figure it out. 3D object import is supported by some dedicated audio visualizers such as Magic Visuals, but not morphs, so that would def be interesting.

In Daz the audio visualization is pretty simple thanks to the MCasual scripts, but as you probably know you need some time to render a complete track ;)

I have to find the way to export that morph out of Daz Studio - .FBX file format should carry it,

but I cannot find the morph after the export.

Do you have some examples of what kind of animations, you are looking after.

Maybe there are something on YouTube.

Thanks, but I have no specific animation that I want to replicate, I just want to have more options to play around with. But here are some of the visuals I have been doing before:

With regard to greebles, I posted a quick test done in Daz on the second page of this thread, but it was a really quick test ^^

Thanks for the links and videos. Does it mean, you compose the music yourself?

Finally, I got the way to export the greebles morph out of Daz Studio, so I have it in Unity now.

I have checked the options in all audio visualizers that I have, but ther is no option to animate

the morph (blend shape is the name used in Unity).

That means, I have to edit the code myself - maybe using scale modifier as a base, because it exists in all of the packages.

Thanks for the information and cool that the import works now! So I guess that Unity is kinda complex so you have to use specific audiovisualizer modules or code everything yourself?

With regard to the music, second and last tracks are by myself, first one is a collab with a friend, and third video was a preview I made for a release by other artists. As you can see, I'm still learning and trying a lot of stuff out. For some newer videos (still unreleased) I have switched more to dedicated software such as Resolume, but I like to have lots of options and I'm also thinking about maybe making a simple music-focused game with visuals at some point, so your input and ideas in this context are very much appreciated! Cheers!

Sorry for capturing the thread @Alberto but we will be back with more greebles! ^^

Thanks for all of the information.

I have already created a dedicated thread for Unity and Daz assets:

    https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/311406/contents-in-unity-game-engine#latest

so I will try to post my findings there.

Right now, I am after some nice shape to work with Greebles Generator.

Below is a twisted torus with Greebles Generator applied rendered with iray in Daz Studio:

Here is a short video I made using a greebled text object with Mcasuals Audiomation to react to the music. It's actually the main source for all the visuals in the short clip, but most of it is heavily processed with additional effects in Hitfilm. However, in the lower right corner you can still see a small version of the greebled text reacting to the music without any additional effects. I'm def planning to make more and hopefully better use of it in the future!

    Looks interesting, metaside.

I have bought HitFilm Pro on HumbleBundle some time ago, but have not really used it yet.

There was some update for Greeble Generator in DIM.

Does anybody knows, what was changed?

  • metasidemetaside Posts: 177

Thank you Artini! The Humble Bundle was a great deal, I originally paid much closer to full price for Hitfilm, but I used the bundle to update. It's a great editor imho and I use it for most things video-related apart from 3D and music visualization (but it has some good tools for visualization too, especially Atomic Particels).

No idea what changed for the Greebles Generator, I noticed the update, too.

    Hi!

The update is only for solve the bug that prevented to get activated Greebles Geneator and Fluidos at the same time. Those who uploaded this fix https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/5734261/#Comment_5734261 don't need the update, it's exactly the same file. But it doesn't cause any harm if they install the update.

Serial Numbers are found in your Daz3D Account here: https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/serialnumbers

Increase the details with AB Greebles Generator plugin. Quickly create complex structures from simple objects, even primitives, by automatically extrude their facets.

Apply to all facets in a 3D object, or only to a random fraction or a group of selected facets.

And as I understand it the results can be baked as a map, saving detail without the extra geometry. You're a madman Bert. Your scripts have such hugely indescribable potential for use then you hit us with another. Gescon is a game changer too.

Well, no, the results are saved as a new object with all the original and extra geometry (and its morphs, if you wish). The package, however, includes some displacement maps for 3Delight to add finer details.

    Thank you for your words!

Thank you for this thread... Just bought product and nothing was mentioned about serial number til I read this.  I will play with it tomorrow.  I'm so excited... but maybe I best calm down to make sure it works first... LOL.

I am having trouble getting this installed. I used both the dowloaded Installer AND the DAZ INstall Manager and nothing shows up. (Nothing in the Windows/Pane tab)
I have My DAZ 3D Library on an external drive (dont know if that could be the problem or not)

    Any help appreciated

if you already did that,  we need to look for other reasons. But I have mine on external as well so that shouldn't bother it
