Thanks Cathy for your lovely feedback !

Absolutely love this whole thing Cath! The dragon armor looks wonderful - love that the tail weapon is there, but also removable. I especially love the outfit, the mix of fabric, leather and metal is really different and unique, textured it just comes to life... love the boots, love the shoulder pouch, love the hair - another amazing work of art! -Cathy

Thanks Gogger , I hear you, no problem I think I can split the G2M into separate set and make it stand alone

I so wish I liked the new Dragon but I don't. Will G2M's outfit be a separate product?

I've been trying hard to follow the Thumper Rule ("If ya can't say nothin' nice, don't say nothin' at all") but I really, Really, REALLY don't care for the Dragon 3 at all. There I said it. That said, I would quickly purchase this G2M outfit alone, but if it is ONLY available as a part of the dragon armor package, I might have to pass on it. That would be a shame because MEC4D stuff is always top notch.

Thanks Szark , maybe I will have enough time for the Dragon itself so it would be more worthy for you to invest in it

LOL I normally follow that self imposed rule and generally keep my moaning to myself or to private conversations. Anyway such as life, win some, you lose some.

I will look forward to see what comes in the future for the base. This armor is a good start. I like the clothing too.

Thanks Richard , really glad you like it , I am for plan to finish something cool for HW Horse so I warm up on the Dragon lol another Z challenge , since end of June is my B-day time it would be a nice special but before that 4 other products are going to be released .. rolling stones this season as much as possible lol

As a big fan of the Dragon 3, personally I think Daz have done a great job on creating something that can go a long way instead of confining it to one persons view of what is after all a creature of pure imagination, I just love the armour and the outfit; and would rather see them packaged together - Mec4D I just love what you have done.
Look forward to what you have in store for Harry as well.

since I was working the last 2 months without payment I think it will be enough to cover the DEBIT lol and enough left for the daily bread so I can continue... the golden times in this industry are over long time ago and the most ironic thing is : how better I am getting how minder I make ( the reason may be that i spend more time doing my complex creations in place of doing daily paper dresses ) , but at last I know it is not me ..:)

Thanks, the Dragon is great as long you got the pro set , I have it so it is really versatile and you can create unique looks , the comments was about the base product in general what is ok for creative people with skills but not enough for regular users that render only , that is the reason why there is just base and pro set , I like it more than the last dragon anyway especially from the technical side ..

I may arrange the set like get 1 get 1 free for my B-Day special but not sure if this will work out ..we will see if the time frame allow me to do that and if there is a free spot for the day

with leather pants and jacket would looks good on you :) then you can kick someone else "donkey " auch..with those metal toe LOL
I remember my ex hubby has sort of protection boots like that for his work and he hates them as they was really heavy because of the metal back and toes and they was minder fashionable but the base was closer to this one .. no laces but click in straps

Really nice Z previews there Cath. Gives me an idea of the poly count. I like that!

  • MEC4DMEC4D Posts: 5,249

    @Pete thanks mate!

@Richard.. you see what is left from the 16 millions poly per figure
the previews was with the low poly models after extraction of the maps
keeping it to the level that it don't need sub-d in DS and the maps make the magic here in place..

yea, I had to go back and ZRemesh a few items of my own to get the poly count down and I've found that the shaders I've made for the freebie look every bit as good. I'm learning that slowly that high poly is NOT your friend in most cases. lol

Wow! The detail you have put into this outfit is amazing, the textured pictures look like photographs! I always love how your textures look so touchable - really looking forward to both the dragon armor and this dragon rider outfit :)

too low not good to high not good you need to find the right balance, to high poly are not easy to edit with weight maps and to low are no morphs friendly and when using sub-d even worse so the middle count is the best , sometimes I am to lazy to get down with the poly ..and forget not that you can remesh each group separately for the best performance

Thanks Cathy, I paint all my textures so no photos used for texturing and everything is computer generated that why you see more details
as each stitch was modeled and painted at the same time

I said it one year ago but with washing dishes .. but I finally got it and now no limits .. and thank DAZ for weight mapping lol
I loved weight mapping in Carrara before ..so easy as I always hated rigging since Poser 4 in traditional way .. now if DAZ STUDIO 5 allow me to save weight mapping info with the additional Morphs it would be game changing technology again ..and goodbye JMC
