    Question for those in the know: For some reason, several of my outfits, including the Nano Suit Sam is wearing, keeps coming up with duplicate files. How do I resolve this ( as I don't have an uninstall files for most things)?

    I'm pretty sure I have to remove all of the files and redownload the product, but I'm not sure what folders I should look in to make sure I have everything.

    It's DS 4.5? I read something last night about this happening but it was after someone installed the newest release of 4.6. I believe it was fixmypcmike that answered to do a search of known runtimes (in the menu somewhere) and that would eliminate the duplicate references. But I don't know if that applies to your problem. You could try it, though. I don't think it will hurt anything, it just might not fix it either.

    I think that was in the Nuts 'n Bolts forum, but I'm not sure.

    Do you mean duplicate formulas, or duplicate icons in Smart Content/Categories?

    Essentially, my runtime is very, very old and was pulled from one PC to my new PC. Somewhere along the way, some files somehow duplicated, I guess. It's not just the Nano Suit. A few others also have the duplicated files alert. I haven't switched to DIM, as I've been on a hiatus for quite some time. I'm not entirely sure where to start on that.

    When I load them into the scene, I get a pop that says there are duplicated files in the log. I know the Nano Suit for Genesis is one. The Hunter for M4 also apparently has duplicated files. I'm not even entirely sure just how many items have this problem.

    Correction: I apparently am on 4.6 - once this render finishes, I'll try to get the exact version number.

    Just one. One really big folder. It's really old (from 2006) and like I said, I copied a backup copy from my old PC to the new old. I can't remember if I had this problem on the old system. It's been a year and a half since I turned that computer on (not sure if it even works as it was on its dying).

    If if makes any difference, I'm using Daz 4.6.2.118.

    You could try downloading the current version and installing over your existing version -- that should handle the Duplicate ID issue, and there's a good chance it would fix the others also.

    If Mikes advice does not help do this.
    Go to Content DB Maintenance menu, mini menu on cormer of Content Library Tab is fast way there. Once open do a Remove Un-mapped Base paths and Orphans and then Remove Orphaned File References.
    If that does not work Do Export User Data then Reset the Database and then Re-Import Metadata.

    Didn't realise how gentle the curves are, took lots of clones to get a simple bend looking like a simple bend :lol:

    wishing i could time bend the last few minutes. all the busy-ness last couple days made me forget my woes for a lil while. forgot i need to hold the sippy lid, nao haz coffee dribbles on my tinkerbell t-shirt. :shut: iz the sparkly tinkerbell too. my favourite. :tinksizedmegapout:

    Had to clone 760 segments in a circle to get about 90 degrees of bend to work with, megapoly slowness :lol: *hugz for sparklyshirtpouting*

    i wanna get Tyler and Mikki 3 into DS. Tyler could be Gianni's lil buddy. with the right chubby morph, could be like Skipper and Gilligan.

    would like to get Tyler or G2m to look like Barry Bostwick. Barry looked ruggedly handsome in Lexx, even wearing his lil red skirt.
