...hmmm when I travel abroad, that's the last place I think of going to. When I'm even in town here at home I tend to avoid them and most other FF joints.

My dinner thoughts would be more along a nice big steak, prawns or rock lobster washed down with a generous sized bottle of beer and for lunch a meat pie or sausage roll.

...woke up to a cloudy morning here. Sun still having a difficult time braking through. Had enough of overcast (and oft rainy) days the last couple weeks. Need some sun.

Tomorrow is "supposed" to be better.

Don't remember where Kulay is, but Arthur is expected to intensify to a category 2 hurricane by later today as it bears down on the Carolinas.

Survey says...came in dead last for burger satisfaction...dead last! Saw that on the news last night. First place went to a chain on the west coast...can't remember the name, something I never heard before. I always liked Burger King anyway.

Nope. Most of that is from the front coming in from the west. We've known about that for several days. In fact, it's that front that is probably saving us from Arthur...it's pushing Arthur eastward as it comes up the coast.

No, it wasn't one of those. It was a proper name, like Joe's (example only) but a last name I think. Just can't remember.

...ah just found the Consumer Reports article, it was a chain called The Habit Burger Grill that was rated "the best" overall (none up here in the Northwest so that is why I never heard of them)

In-N-Out did come in 2nd though. We had a few up here a while back but for some reason they didn't catch on. The best ones where I am are Burgerville (regional N. Oregon & SW Washington) which offers seasonal menu items (like the forthcoming Walla Sweet Onion Rings), followed by Five Guys. There is also a local Portland chain of burger bars called Little Big Burger which serves fries cooked in truffle oil. For 6.50 you can get a tasty hand made 1/4# burger and an order of their truffle fries (both with a locally made ketchup to put on top). The one shortcoming is when it comes to drinks you only have a choice of the big brand fountain soft drinks, water, or beer (the latter not good when taking lunch on a workday). I suggested at least Mexican Coca Cola (which tastes a lot more like the Coke I remember) and possibly a few other of the "retro" sodas. They seemed rather receptive to the idea.

With the proliferation of brewpubs in the region there are also a lot of places which make their own burgers, usually hand formed and cooked to order which compete heavily with other establishments. heck, some of the "McMeals" can easily cost almost as much as a well made pub burger with hand cut fries.

Hmm...I thought for sure it was a singe word name. But, I watched the news after 1:00 am and have had some rough days lately. it was the Consumer Reports thing that Cavuto was talking about.

I find comparing Taco Bell to Chipotle seems a little unfair. I equate Taco Bell with places like McDonald's...fast food. But Chipotle Grill seems to be more of a sit down in a restaurant type of place, sort of like Chili's (which I really like).

No, Habit is the one that sounds right. I thought it was a person's name, but obviously not. Strange how different articles on the same report have different ones coming out on top. The other article linked to showed In 'n' Out as the #1 spot. I knew that isn't what I heard him say was the #1. I never heard of Habit Burger. Sometimes I don't understand what he says and rewind to catch it...I didn't bother rewinding. But I though it started with an "H". Thank you!

...I noticed you mentioned Burger King. They have been on my least liked list for a while as whenever I mentioned "no Mayo" (I have a sensitivity to egg yolks) they always buggered the order and still put it on.

Ok, I now own Vicky 6.

My Renderosity account is still active, so is my RDNA account, so I have swords and temples.

Someday I'll need a Mike to slaughter. And a Stephie, and I guess an Aiko.

I have Rons Blood brushes so messy gore in post shouldn't be an issue.

    What a bother!! :ahhh:

Your old content from DAZ 3D is still there under your old Email Address my Friend. If you knew that the Powers that be (Richard or DAZ_Ann or one like that) may be able to link you back to that account. Could not hurt to look into it.

Nearly lunch! Left leg still hurts, 2-3 more days and it's doc visit time (and I don't have a doc in Tulsa, argh).

Maybe your Austin dr can give you a referral to someone up there. Worth trying.
