Well, your email inspired me to come swimming back, even if it was a bit upstream! I usually had fun here so I figured it's worth dropping in and splashing around the place!!
Another hot day in Tulsa- supposed to hit 90f. Baked trout, anyone? :blank:
Welcome back Wooly! Its been too long mate. And for the record, I was told you were back and under a different user name. I wasn't told what name you were, but simply looking at the way you type, I identified you LOL ( Deliberately, I didn't look at the comments from others I know here, so I could say that )
Good to see you :D
...isn't that a Tolkien story?
A Hobit's tale. Started to watch it last night. The first movie that is.

'plaint, iso audit next Toosday. 4 business days. the person that's supposed to enter part#s into the system is nit picking my part descriptions, that i submitted last week! instead of motoring along this morning, i'm idling. if they don't finish calibrating everything this week, i'm gonna haz to run around the building finding test equipment and stick out of calibration stickers on it.
i had each remaining 4 business days planned out and now it's flafloofey.
non-'plaint fresh pc coupie in the hopper. thinking of using it on http://www.daz3d.com/madlab-4  bad ass space pirates be crying, 'save me save'

Hobbitzezz :)
Ooyyyy... Had a less than pleasant dream last night. Some of it was actually pretty normal but...
I was walking to the store, and for some reason my cat Milo (Orange-and-cream tabby that IRL had gotten hit by a car some years ago) was following me, and in my mind something kept telling me that Milo was going to be in danger. So I kept my guard up, but then he just bolted off at random, and before I could catch up to him he got struck by a car coming out of the gas station. Even worse, my current cat (A grey female named Pine) had been hit there as well, so both my cats were dead :shut:
Even worse when I got home to tell my grandpa of the news I found one of the family had died as well, something about their blood pressure or something.
Bleh. Despite that fairly dark dream, I actually woke up very well rested - also despite only getting like five hours of sleep!
One thing that both fascinated and unnerved me was how realistic it all was. I was acting exactly how I would have acted, all the house and surrounding areas looked as they did in real life, everyone acted the same as well. It wasn't some weird abstract dream like I usually have (Other than the fact Milo was there heh)
@Rezca - ugh,crappy dream. I hate those! :down:
Todays complaint - abdominal cramps. Spasms bad enough to affect my lower back and legs. I suspect the eggrolls from the corner food place. Woke me up on and off last night, we hateses it.
Mild fried fish for lunch, dinner will be 1/2 a cheeseburger. Oh well. :-S
lunch? woes hungree. half a leftover burrito from last week. should be safe? iz mostly rice.
Depends on when last week and where it's been, hopefully the fridge.
I've had 4 day old leftover burrito, it wasn't tasty but it did the job. :smirk:
Hmm.. I swear that Misty just had a grocery delivery not that long ago. Are you out already or do you just want to clean out the fridge? Four days should be fine but I never trust stuff much longer than that. I've gotten ill before...
Coming back in here has filled my head with thoughts of Vicky, temples, swords, and nudity.
But I don't do visual art any more, so now what?
In the middle of a potato chip it came to me - NVIATWAS, THE SONG! :bug:
I have the tools. I have the skill and talent. I have the twisted soul required. :snake:
This gives me something to do over the weekend!! Wheeeeeeeeeee! Good since there's no dang bus service Friday and I'm trapped at home. :-S
Will post a link when it's done! *chortle*
...brekkie time here. Bowl o cereal.
Local Air force is awake and flying around this morning (about the only loud jets anymore as all the airliners that fly into here have those quiet high bypass engines that tend to whine instead of rumble.
Going to meet meet with a friend to have lunch and watch the USA - Belgium match at the nearby Bierstube. Good German Bier and they have baked trout as one of the specialties.
Speaking of baking, going to be a hot one here today with a forecast high of 97°. When I opened the door a little while ago could already feel the heat building.
Meh, no new stuff in the store, Supposed to be the new weekly freebie and various new PC item day (Tuesday). and since it's a new month, the July PC freebie. That's how I've been getting along for content pretty much as still out of work, It's brutal here. Did pick up a few small items last night, two with my June PC coupon (before it expired) and a new release PC item which gave me a 50% discount on the Shades of Life Urban Construct shaders which were on sale and had been on my wishlist for a while. First content purchase in months.
Hopefully Steph6 or Josie6 will go on sale this month so I can use my July PC coupon.
Oh and for those north of the Border, Happy Canada Day (actually met a couple nice ladies from Edmonton yesterday).
Finally, lunch! And it's...
...wait for it...
FRIED DEAD FISH IN STYROFOAM! :wow:
It's crispy and it's hot!
And yeah, it's all I've got!
It would be even better
If I cooked it in a pot!
But I won''t whine or groan
Though it came in styrofoam
Three bucks for a huge filet
I didn't need a loan!
Corn meal on dead fish!
Oh what more could I wish?
Munch the thing right from the box
Don't even need a dish!
I'm so hungry I've turned pasty
Oh thank God this fish is tasty
No more will I go roam
I have FISH IN STYROFOAM!!
@Kyoto - man, sorry you're still out of work. That sucks SERIOUSLY big-time.
BUT - the pub sounds like fun! I'm avoiding the game as I'm still recovering from Germany (lol)! Knock back a cold one for me!!
And stay COOL - damn, only 92f here.. what is up with this climate?!?!?!?
not even the home fridge, it's the day job fridge :bug:

EVERYTHING is better ith beer, even beer! :ahhh:
I thought everything was better with Dinosaurs :)
Heh, the Primal Carnage Tyrannosaurus in a Team Fortress 2 setting wielding a chaingun (Or something, can't tell what it is). That would be the one thing that would get me to play Team Fortress heh, if it was real. Sadly it's just a 'kitbashed' image posing the guy by hand in GMod
..out of the frying pan into the fire? Can get pretty hot in Oklahoma sometimes more so than Texas.
Ah no longer in a major university town (wouldn't think that Oral Roberts is much of a party school). However you do have one college there that speaks to one of my old interests: Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. I remember them from my teenage years when I aspired to go into aeronautical engineering.

Spartan isn't too far from me, I work near the airport.
we do have this one small, little-known college: http://www.ou.edu/tulsa.html :-P
And yeah, apparently last year was a scorcher. Good excuse to hide at the Hard Rock Casino and play slots...
...Hard Rock Casino? As in Hard Rock Cafe?
All we have here are the tribal casinos and none are close to the city (not reachable without a car).
As far as I know, Hard Rock is also tribal owned.
Dana
...nice that it is within the city (and reachable by transit). Milwaukee WI has one within the city limits near downtown as well.
Here in Portland the city want's nothing to do with casinos in the city limits at all. Years ago one tribe that was willing to pay for and build us a state of the art retractable roof baseball stadium (when Portland was looking to woo the Pittsburgh Pirates franchise), if they in turn could locate a casino in East Portland but the mayor said no and that was the end of it.
The Portland Pirates, that would've had a ring to it.
It feels like 97 degrees? what the??

What Dana said. The casino is Native-owned but carries the Hard Rock brand. It's 8 miles from me!!! :ohh: I've never been to a casino so I'm going weekend after next!
I also went to the second-highest-rated Tulsa strip club... yyyyyaawwwnnnn..
The Portland Pirates are actually minor league hockey team in Portland, Maine. Been to see them a few times.
woes, eyes hurty. i can drink beer with my eyes closed :) with a sippy lid.
iz muggy yucki outside. feh i hope the bus isn't mucho late today.
Almost time to go home. Tonight: 3 steamed dumplings, then 2 hours under the headphonex listening to ambient/chillout, then sleep.
5AM comes too dang soon!
Morning. Enough blue sky just after dawn to get songbirds going and lift spirits from wintery gloom :)
not even the home fridge, it's the day job fridge :bug:
Run!! Do not look back, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Well that was my view of the fridges at work anyway. I never knew who had done what to what with what in one of those things. I invested in a nice mini-Lunch type cooler and those freezer Blue things to carry my food around in. Then I could lock it in my locker and know my food was, well still the way I made it.
