Complaint: so tired and flakey think sleep for a few hours when I get home and see about a visit to Dr tomorrow.

    Ugh, that blows! Feel better soonest! {{{{{ps1borg}}}}

Expect to soon :) Family Dr is sensible, prescribes rest & asks if I want a medical certificate. Don't need one I freelance, he says well why work so much then? Got no answer to that, anxiety, greed and FOMO I think, all not so good reasons to knock myself out. On top of around 50 hours contract work a week have been putting in 10 at the food centre. So a bit of sun this morning is turning me around, have friends I haven't seen for months, have garden to sit in, and I guess lots more I'm not noticing

It feels like 97 degrees? what the??

...17:30 and currently 97° ambient air temperature here. Little wind so feels like being in an an Easy Bake Oven™ out there.

Bunch of drunken footie fans down the block still shouting and cheering. Are they aware the match has been over for nearly two hours and USA lost 1- 2 to Belgium in double extra time?

Ooyyyy... Had a less than pleasant dream last night. Some of it was actually pretty normal but...

I was walking to the store, and for some reason my cat Milo (Orange-and-cream tabby that IRL had gotten hit by a car some years ago) was following me, and in my mind something kept telling me that Milo was going to be in danger. So I kept my guard up, but then he just bolted off at random, and before I could catch up to him he got struck by a car coming out of the gas station. Even worse, my current cat (A grey female named Pine) had been hit there as well, so both my cats were dead :shut:

Even worse when I got home to tell my grandpa of the news I found one of the family had died as well, something about their blood pressure or something.

Bleh. Despite that fairly dark dream, I actually woke up very well rested - also despite only getting like five hours of sleep!
One thing that both fascinated and unnerved me was how realistic it all was. I was acting exactly how I would have acted, all the house and surrounding areas looked as they did in real life, everyone acted the same as well. It wasn't some weird abstract dream like I usually have (Other than the fact Milo was there heh)

The dreams I remember are almost real like that, except the ones about Maria Callas, those would be pure fantasy I guess

@Kyoto - man, sorry you're still out of work. That sucks SERIOUSLY big-time.

BUT - the pub sounds like fun! I'm avoiding the game as I'm still recovering from Germany (lol)! Knock back a cold one for me!!

And stay COOL - damn, only 92f here.. what is up with this climate?!?!?!?

Coming back in here has filled my head with thoughts of Vicky, temples, swords, and nudity.

But I don't do visual art any more, so now what?

In the middle of a potato chip it came to me - NVIATWAS, THE SONG! :bug:

I have the tools. I have the skill and talent. I have the twisted soul required. :snake:

This gives me something to do over the weekend!! Wheeeeeeeeeee! Good since there's no dang bus service Friday and I'm trapped at home. :-S

Will post a link when it's done! *chortle*

Perfect! We need a theme song. Maybe DAZ will use it in commercials and Trout will get royalties.

    Complaint: My day.
Finally stopped debating over whether to see the doctor about my recurring acute bronchitis (although since this is the third time I've had it this year, maybe it's safe to call it chronic bronchitis now) and went on in and got loaded up on stuff to fight it and went to lunch.
So just as I finish lunch at IHOP, my phone rings - it's Mom's nursing home (you might recall my mentioning my 90 yo Mom has senile dementia) calling to tell me that Mom is bleeding from from her lady parts and they are sending her to the ER. So for the next 7 hours I'm alternating between tearing all over town and sitting with my Mom, trying to help her stay calm (she's like a little girl who is lost and scared - more or less the way I'm feeling at this point, myself).
So after some blood tests her doctor tells me that her blood was too thin (she is given blood thinners because she tends to get clots in her legs) and after the recent bladder infection she had, it caused her irritated and swollen bladder to bleed.
Now they are taking her off the blood thinners, and sending her back to the nursing home so she can get better around the clock observation (which they started before I came home).
So everything is more or less OK now - I hope.
Did I mention I was still sick through all this? On the hottest day of the year, so far?
My hope for tomorrow? A nice boring uneventful day would be welcome.

Now speaking of strange dreams, I believe I had a fever last night in which I somehow was finding a mathematical correlation between my bronchitis and 3D computer graphics. The kind of thing that makes perfect sense only inside a fever dream.

another question about Australia: is now the best time to visit Australia? I read somewhere that the beaches, restaurants and museums are crowded in May, June and July. Or maybe I misread the website. Another website suggested March or April. Maybe I'll go in November 2015 to watch the Melbourne Cup.

no way am I going to the red center in the summer. lol

My prayers will be with you and your mom, tjohn. It's serious anytime someone on blood thinners is bleeding. I'm sure the staff will be working hard to get her levels down and stabilized. You need some rest. Too bad it can't be packaged and taken every 4 hours like the other pills. For better or worse, tomorrow will be another day.

I vote for it holding toilet paper. Either going to do some TP'ing or looking for the outhouse.

Given the weird and insane "weapons" Team Fortress has, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a roll of TP with a gun barrel sticking out of it  It'd fit in with their crazy weapon sandbox perfectly. (Zoom in and you can see the gun itself though)

another question about Australia: is now the best time to visit Australia? I read somewhere that the beaches, restaurants and museums are crowded in May, June and July. Or maybe I misread the website. Another website suggested March or April. Maybe I'll go in November 2015 to watch the Melbourne Cup.

no way am I going to the red center in the summer. lol

I think someone was pulling your leg, Starionwolf (^_^)... now is cold and miserable - great if you're a Pom, but the rest of us stay indoors and watch the floods on TV ;-). Best time (weather-wise) is usually Sep-Nov, after winter and before summer - after the rains stop, and before it gets too hot (100degF? ... an average day ;-) ). Alternatively is the period AFTER summer (Feb-Apr), when the weather remains nice and it's cooling down again.

Ugh... someone at AT&T needs a kick between their legs. Fiancee is IT for his work, which means that he's on call 24/7 in case of problems. But some idiot had the nerve to call at 4 in the morning to tell him one of the phone lines went down and then call back 40 minutes later that it was back online. The standard protocol for this is he gets chirping texts on his cell. Those I can sleep through. But when his cell rings, it jerks me wide awake and I can't fall back asleep for half an hour or more. /grrrrrr

In other words, I was rudely awake at 4 and again at almost 5ish and I barely get back to sleep when the alarm goes off

ETA: Blah... now I have a headache forming >_<</p>

Happy Wednesday, and I have COMPLAINTS!

    - Intestines hating on me
    - This is causing lower back and leg pain, which
    - Is making my destroyed left ankle hurt
    - Didn't sleep well
    - Out of RAM, so I have to refactor this crappy code I inherited
    - Knee hurts
    - Shoulders unhappy

    NON-complaints:

    - Grilled cheddar and bacon sammich for brekkie!
    - Hot medium roast Colombian coffee
    - One more day before 3 day weekend
    - Got my monthly bus pass, good until August 1st

It could be worse, I guess. The pain doesn't feel like an infection, no red stripe up leg, no swelling, just ouchie - but walking on it helps it hurt less (weird).
