sometimes.. it can be a PITA

I now use a system that works for me.. when boning I scale the first bone (hip) down to 50% or less depending on the size of the model then work my way up to the head then branch off for one arm to wrist then one leg then a tail if there is one. When I do the hand I then scale the wrist/hand bone down again to 40% or less then finger it.. surprise

weightpainting I start at the head first then neck... then shoulders/arms then legs..

most times now I don't have to touch the elbows/hands/fingers and feet yes

    Go Headwax!!! That's Awesome!!!

    Thank you Dart,

I've been shortlisted every year since it started in 2016.

It's supported by the only, very exclusive, Gentleman's Club here in Newcastle, OZ.

They hold a special prize winning dinner at the club. Formal tie suit etc.

On the night they announce the winner each artist is taken up on stage and quizzed about their work.

    It's never wracking at first.

Then after a few years of it it's even more nerve wracking  :)

    cheers from here!

There's a quote from Mark Twain that says, on his visit to Newcastle "that it is a town with a graveyard at one end with no bodies in it, and, at the other end, a Gentleman's Club with no gentleman in it."

Of course he never said it but it makes a good story!

Thought I would try a little show reel, get my feet wet in Hitfilm anyway...  You've all seen these probably.

A few Carrara renders - YouTube

    Verty nice reel!
I also think HitFilm is a very good choice
One of my favourite applications. My pipeline with Carrara :-)

Here is my first attempt to use VYusur's Cat Zeus in Carrara.  Converted to blended weight in Studio before loading in Carrara.  Applied some Carrara hair.  Used a pose that comes with the cat.  Need to revisit the shaders for the eyes.

Hello Head Wax you're right, I let the old masters inspire me more often.
