that's really spacey - you could get a job doing architectural walkthroughs!

your doing a great job making them look life like , some of my Saur models from Daz (?) look like toys!

I entered this in the Rendo Christmas contest.  It didn't win, which I understand.  There were several nice renders.  However, the winners weren't anywhere near the top of my list.  I won't be entering any future Rendo contests, as voters there seem to be looking for realism done poorly (IMO).

interesting how this gives me a feeling of unease ;)

if you just place the models in a landscape and don't set the right light all the figures look like plastic toys. Also genesis and its relatives, keyword skin and surface scattering and displacement. Then little ambient light so that the spot works properly as the main light. I often need 1 week to find the right light setup. always rendering and new setting.....

I exported one of this month's Unreal Marketplace freebies, The Victorian House Exterior

I had to rename every single surface in Ultimate Unwrap 3D or Carrara will truncate them and make it impossible to save or even identify surfaces surprise

after that had to manually load most of the maps exported separately because Unreal butchered the material exports creating nearly all 1x1 pixel red images ( couple hundred with nornal maps)

    this took a while

anyway a Carrara native and Octane render

it's a constant learning process when you use the same model over and over again and keep improving it. In this case I made 3 changes. Bumpmap -> Texture map color inversion in +50 Displacement -> Normal Map with -20 Highlight: Use bump map set the value to 0 for gloss that brings a lot of drawing. the alpha leaves of the plants were made a little shaky and also a little transparency value 20% only for the plants in the background. This makes the dinosaurs look even sharper ;)

He looks contemplating. Is it carrara fur? Maybe the fur needs to be thinned out a bit?

yes, it is your Carrara fur freebie, I lengthened it because I like it floofy but didn't drape it

Great to see Zeus in Carrara.  The dedicated Zeus threads is one of the most popular ever.  Great job, Veronika!
