Joyous travels on the bright road...
This is for Jaderail. I pulled these the night before he passed, and that next morning, well, it seemed like the pull was meant for him. I thought he would prefer riding a tiger to a horse.
The freak accident was the the tiger knocked over the little table while leaping through the gate. This awoke the (statue) guards, who didn't notice anything but a blur and a whooosh.

I'm taking a break from my second render so I can look at it one more time before I post it. Not that I plan to change anything because I can't think of anything else to add. I thought this was a good time to catch up on everyone's entries.
Luci45 #3: This is a fun one. I love the elebeast with his trunk in the boot. This group looks like a handful!
Morgan R. Lewis #1: Great expressions and nice job on the broken vase.
Sasje #2: Poor uncle's going to be hurting. I really like your lighting in this one too.
Totte #2: Nothing like crazy neighbors to ruin your day. Nice job on this one!
Totte #3: The expression on the actress' face cracked me up. Probably not the special effects that they were going for!
HastyDave #2: This turned out really nicely. Looks like pickles + exhaust pipe are not a good combination though.
Totte #4: Definitely an unfortunate decision on the delivery driver's part - unfortunate for all the bystanders anyway.
Luci45 #4: This is a beautiful tribute to Jaderail. He looks very joyful riding on that tiger.
Well, this is what I came up with and I must thank Phil Wilkes sometime for his excellent Infinite Skills series for Carrara. In this case it was invaluable in teaching me how to fix poke-through as those bears were busting out of their clothes in all kinds of embarrassing places!

Title: Stumbling into a Strange Place
After Sophie recovered from her fall, she went for a walk in a lovely field where she found a strange door. Not having the sense to leave well enough alone, she tripped as she went through and stumbled into a strange scene. Three unusual-looking carnies were taking a break before setting up for the big show that night.
Luci, Jaderail would have really liked that! I love the energy, full steam ahead. To wherever he may go...

I have an idea for this one too ;-)
All of the drawn items should be pretty obvious, except maybe Divinity Skies Prophecy. I turned it upside down, scaled it way down, used glass and metal shaders and turned it into a punch bowl. This entry took over 10 hours to render. Too much glass!!!

When Gretabelle told Boris to bring more punch to the soiree, that is NOT what she meant. When Boris punched the bag, it catapulted Mr, Mouse (who had been napping on top in his red jammies) through the air, straight into the punch bowl. Now they really need more punch!

If I may, it is not exactly clear the guard were sleeping from there poses, tho that dose not matter. There startled by the bluer going by as it is. It works.

Nice render, tho the water effect was not clear at first. It almost looked like a glass container of water exploded in her hand.

I was picturing an Elf boxing match of sorts, tho the "More Punch" dose the trick.

...yeah, in my unfinished work for the "Refused Sports" theme, spent a bit of time visually plotting the arc and trajectory for the catoblepas that was shot from a catapult.

(Actually that was a last minute thought as I had no freak accident in mind, just wanted to do this for Jaderail. I am absent-minded sometimes.)

Many years before Jason and the Argonouts retrieved the Golden Fleece, Jasper and Argophites had made a similar attempt, but were met by disaster in the form of the terrible monster Orumet. Hera had given birth to the creature without help from Zues in order to avenge one of his many offences . Zues was very perturbed as he had promised sucess to Jasper and his crew, most of whom were his progeny. He reprimanded his wife, who laughed, sneered and glowered at him, all at one time. (She did that a lot.)

It's been a pretty tumultuous couple of weeks for me, but I finally had time to sit down and get this one done! (Thanks for the Wi-Fi, Applebee's! Oh, yeah, and the Martinis; can't forget them!)

It was a programming error in the university's roommate-matching system that introduced Stephanie and Victoria to their future ex-husbands.
Why. Why. WHY??? do I do this to myself? I'm so bad at balancing things -- literally and metaphorically -- so when real life pops up annoyingly, I wander away from my computer for weeks... and then find myself 6 pages behind in the RRRR thread with my first pull half-done. Okay. Re-focus. Render. Review. I'm on it. I will not be battling an exploding toilet moments before the midnight deadline this time!
OMG. I missed more than I thought I did this month... I suddenly feel less like rendering.

Our Rabbit had a very busy day ahead of him. What with just having finished his tea party with the doormouse, the Rabbit had jaunted up the rabbit hole on his way to play a game of checkers with Alice. All one could hear was, "I'm late! I'm late!" As Rabbit arrives and has a looksee he is next heard to say, "Oh dear! I'm much too late!" For now, it has become obvious to one and all that while setting up to play this game of checkers, Alice had reached deep into the box to pull out the remaining checker pieces when a sudden unexpected gust of wind had slammed the lid closed upon her in an 'off with your head' manner as the edge came down. It would now seem that our poor Rabbit's game of croquet with the Queen would have to be put on hold.
