OK, three days to catch up on... (Which is strange, because I don't remember being gone that long...)

Luci45 #6: Nicely done bringing an interesting mix of items together. The round makes a good stage.
KaribousBoutique #1: It certainly looks like it was a lot of work! Came out very well though.
barbult #2: That's going to be one painful belly-flop. Nice touch with the wrecked ladder.
SpyroRue #1: That's an impressive length of render time... worth it, though, as the image looks great.
Totte #6: Wasps, witch, knights... well, at least some of these problems ought to solve each other. :)

Luci45 & Totte: Thanks for the comments on my image!
KaribousBoutique: You know, I didn't even think of cell phones. Guess that comes from not carrying one regularly.

Hi, Morgan R. Lewis. Thanks for noticing the wrecked ladder! I used a deformer on it.

Consider yourself lucky -- it kinda sucks to be tied to one all the time. (I'm a single mom, so the phone is ALWAYS with me when the kids aren't!) I'm also very glad I finished my "young and stupid" days long before the phone camera came along!

I must start by saying that if OSHA ever found this thread, there would be more fines than one could count! (Where is the appropriate personal protective equipment? Lockout/Tagout protocols? Floatation devices? Signage?!!)

... and the hazardous spill containment equipment, and the emergency eye wash station, and the oxygen deficiency monitor, and....
You know, the OSHA handbook might actually be a source of inspiration this month... For every regulation there must be a freak accident waiting to break it!

    Title: Bad Fairies
Bad fairies often found entertainment watching lovelorn idiots attempt to draw water from the "enchanted well of love." The fairies, of course, had built the well on the windiest cliff in the kingdom, hoping no one would notice the inherent design flaw in a well that was poised on a ledge which was only a few feet thick. And, for the most part, no one did.

Thank you Luci45 and Totte for your comments.

I knew when I pulled the Alice in Wonderland dress that I was going to have to try and go for surreal, though Totte, I'm not quite sure I understand the 'where can I get some' question.

"Where can I get some" implies you are on some kind of hallucinogenic drug that causes you to generate such wild and exotic dream sequences. The person asking the question wants to experience that, too, hence he asks where he can get that drug. :)

    And that's Ken OBanions question;-)

For the record, the actual phrase is, "What are you on, and where can I get some?"

There's also the secondary question, courtesy of Mrs. Bleyl, my third-grade teacher, when she caught a student chewing gum in class (and no, it wasn't me; I never did anything so pedestrian in school; most of my misbehavior usually ended in a restraining order): "Well, I certainly hope you brought enough for everyone!"

Delightfully egalitarian, Mrs. Bleyl was, and surprisingly casual about inane rules -- just so long as everyone had an equal opportunity to flout them!

    The Retrofitting of Henley House
Amateur architect Peter Henley brought his lovely ancestral home to to a small Chinese village where he chose to retire. It needed "a bit of work" and he was in the process of a little retrofitting, which involved a pneumatic pump to "prop it up a bit," when an explosion occured. Henley's nemisis, Master Won Chin, who had been making disparaging comments about the ugly house on a daily basis, went flying and two heavy doors landed on Henley. Both suffered only minor injuries. Master Won Chin and other villagers were happy that the house was obliterated and helped with the cleanup. Henley was very surprised by the accident, saying he didn't know what could have caused it. Under polite pressure from his neighbors, he agreed not to rebuild Henley House and accepted their assistance in helping him build a more appropriately-styled home.

I finally did a messy accident. Hehe. Even used a deformer on the house. Fun.

    Used:
    Victorian Nurse
    The Streets Of Asia 2
    Platea
Henley House (Dark Anvil, bought from Mr Sparky)
    Hipster (Lucky Bastard pull)

Thanks, barbult; and I thought my comments were too innocuous.
LOL, Totte, why am I not surprised that you are a fan of the DarwinAwards? I was thinking of you when I put up that link, just in case... ;-) Strange about the name "Orumet" - it just popped into my head and I Googled it to make sure it didn't mean anything.
Thanks, KaribousBoutique. I love reading your comments.
SpyroRue, You've done it again! That is a super-awesome render and postwork. So many great things about it and funny too. You did an excellent job with the light from the explosion/forge and still having great light on the figures. The surfaces are rich and beautiful. (I love the Fellowship of the Ring extended version, my favorite of the bunch.)
Totte #6. Eww, I hate wasps! The statue is making a run for it. I would too. Fun render!
KaribousBoutique #2 Haha, bad fairies indeed! Nice render!
KaribousBoutique #3 - Wow, worst pull ever! This is going to be fun. And a toilet too. Awesome.

Wonderful job, everyone. I will save my comments for another post.

I was interrupted by a dying computer, and then had installation issues on the replacement. Will get this second one in just under the wire, I hope. The pull was the eu roadster, Vicki 2 a to z, modern furniture, and ex libris poses. I also used the V2 clothing bundle, wavy hair and slick hair for V2, teen Josie and teen Julie, along with casual jeans and amy jeans for Genesis and Genesis 2 female for the teens, and aldora hair and cinna hair.

Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Smith invited Victoria Vickers to counsel their teens about their recent discipline at school. Unfortunately, Ms. Vickers had asked Mrs. Victarion the drivers-ed instructor, to drop her off.

Thanks very much, it was a challenge to frame it all, and not only that, using DOF but keeping the text readable, even had to change the font choice on the props cos it didn't play well with the focus lol The light (Explosion) in the stall was rendered volume, even before adding smoke in post work I thought "I so need to do this more" haha

And also a big thanks to Morgan R. Lewis, KaribousBoutique and Totte for your comments :cheese:

:Guilty Face: Haven't been keeping up at all with recent (even not-so-recent) developments here:

@Totte "Bad shortcut" - oops! That mammoth appears to have speared the car engine too - looks like an expensive job for the insurers!
"Pipe Nightmare" - ooh, what a nightmare for the artist! Lots of interesting detail in that one again.
"Attic Panic" - oh I hate wasps (had a sting on my leg years ago and it still comes up itchy occasionally) I love the "statues"- looks like a really atmospheric place.
"Wild Welding" - great postwork, really makes it go off with a bang! (I like the flying woman too)
@Luci45 "Goodbye, Blue warrior" - lovely idea, well done.
"Wreck of the Argos" - ooh, what a different style. I love the fresco-like effect you've used here.
"Alien Dancers" - another fun one, I love the lighting and colours (even though the dancers do still seem a little "green"!)
"The Retrofitting of Henley House" - great idea and really well done - I'd never have though of using a deformer on a house?! (Not that I've learnt to use them adequately on anything yet :red: )
@emsim "Stumbling into a Strange Place" - beautifully weird! I like the way the stone path partially extends into the warehouse area.
@barbult "Bring more punch" - nice misunderstanding. I love the little mouse and his red jammies - so cute!
"Don't Dive and Drive" - well, at least she made it into the pool! Nice idea.
@Sasje "Watch out!!!" - classic - nicely done.
"Out of the way" - hope it was only the Buddha statue that landed in the water? Nice expression.
@Ken OBanion "Lost in Translation" - not sure what it was she was expecting, but her face is a picture of "that isn't it"!
"Off-Campus Kismet - oh, not only a computer error but an implied later error of judgement?
@Zawarkal "Wonderland's Gust of Wind" - wow that's trippy! Really stunning image there. (And a fascinating back story afterwards)
@Morgan R. Lewis "Crash" - what a nice smug look on her face! Neat idea.
@KaribousBoutique "Bird Strike" - lovely lighting and lots of movement - I like it!
"Bad Fairies" - wicked! I love the way she's treating the carnage as a cheap night's entertainment.
"Bob and the Guts" - love it! Nice spoof and you got you toilet in at last!
(And well done for finally catching up and reviewing everything so far - thanks for your comments on mine)
@SpyroRue "Competition" - Good for her! I love the smoky/hazy background and the woman's expression.
@diomede64 #2 - pity you didn't pull a pair of glasses for Mrs Victarion - looks like she needs some! Nice work.

Well I was hoping to squeeze in another entry but I think I'll be out of time. Here's the pull just in case - Pull#3:

    84 = V3 Base
    2077 = Wondrous Creatures Genesis 2 Female(s)
    1593 = Tropical Plateau
    1899 = Cassia for Olympia

Hearty congratulations to everyone who's managed seven - maybe I'll get on top of things better next time around...

And it's on to Round Three!

    The pull:
1746 - Meet Me At Sundown
    1908 - Mobility Aids
    1282 - Curbside Cuties
    1594 - Pyrit Hair

Well, it appears the Gods of Random approve of the theme; the Mobility Aids definitely implies some kind of 'freak accident'. Now I just have to come up with something suitably debilitating...!

It took a while (and several false starts), but I finally came up with an idea.

    Also used:

    From the Sky

Cassia's head hurt. The last thing she remembered was jumping off the diving board. She wasn't sure what had happened to her - perhaps she had hit her head? That might explain why she was seeing things, because this couldn't be reality!

Blue, Cat, Naida and Vicky were equally puzzled. They had been enjoying their vacation on the island when this weird-looking alien suddenly fell out of the sky and landed in their midst.

    Also Used:
Cassia - Sultry Hair, Swimwear V6
Blue Alien - Creature Creator for G2F skin, Prehistoric Princess dress
Cat Woman - Zyanya skin, Milen Hair, Jungle Girl clothing
Pale Fey - FW Naida skin, Xylia Double French Braids 2 hair, Callidora Outfit
    V3 - Lush Hair
Extra plants and grass from Tropical Elements
Easy Environments: The Rock (skybox only)

just a few of the recents posts...

KaribousBoutique #2 Ha! What fools these mortals be! and with snacks no less. Nice one!!
( i saw mid summer nights dream at the outdoor summer shakespeare. most people stayed even with the sprinkling rain))
#3 Princess Leah looking good... and luke was hooded after his motorcycle accident. a memorable scene!
#4 The canary in the portal trick. it was supposed to warn about unauthorized use not to get sucked in. good sense of weightlessness.
#5 another shakespeare? with the clothing malfunction she better put out the lamp.
you really accomplished a lot when up against the wire!

Luci#7 Love those chinese fantasy flicks. Flying sorcerors. and without those pesky wires to be removed in post

Totte #7 Great explosion effects! wait a minute.... doesn t this also qualify for the failed sports category... explosive hide and seek

Diomede64 #2 What a calm pastel living room scene to be interrupted by the unexpected guest.
Next time they ll erect concrete barricades to prevent future intrusions. Nice one!

Sasje #4 You d think that she d thank him for keeping her out of the way of the slime monster.
As an aside i ve heard that slime has great healing properties. so if she gets scraped up a little all she needs to do is
spread on some slime for quick antibacterial healing.

Melanie #2 I wonder if the girls will even realize what happened. and i wonder if this has happened before and that s why the railings
were destroyed by the last victim. good color harmony.
#3 I m thinking that the new arrival will fit in perfectly with the local assortment. good thing the ground was soft...
and if it turns out to be a dream it will be an entertaining one.

Obanion #3 That falling fresnel lens is going to have quite an impact. i hope the stage manager has enough sense not to try to catch it.
maybe the actors can include the phantom of the opera effect into the music. good one!
