Hansmar thanks yes the proportions of the bed arn't ideal I had to raise the floor to reduce it's height a little for the second render

    Spuddy, very clever, got it.

  • Adbc - Nice Idea, and very well done.

Spuddy: another beautiful entry and well done.

Drachenlords: your entry is the right one to look at the morning Time here in Germany... it makes me lough. Beautiful done.

spuddy - indeed a good place to look ahead.

Spuddy: wonderful. Great point of view both for the man and the camera. Must admit I was thinking along the same lines, but have not started. So, back to the drawing board!

spuddy - I love your latest ("watching the way ahead") - lovely sky and nice terrain.
By the way I also like your second girl-on-the-bed image better than the first.

This should be a definite, imo.  Love this one Spuddy.

    @ spuddy:

Thoughts of Hope - very nice idea. I like the first version a little better. The contrast underlines the message.

Watching the way ahead - Very nice light and really one of the best places to look ahead.

@ adbc: Looking up - I like it very much.

adbc - very nice, the sky and the slightly blurry trees especially.

drachenlords - another great entry, nice atmosphere and shoreline waves.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,069

adbc - good idea and very nicely done scene.

drachenlords - not actually something to look forward to, but a good idea and superbly done.

  • NGartplayNGartplay Posts: 2,794

    adbc, that's a wonderful image.

drachonlords, we the viewer look ahead because we know what's coming.  It's an excellent render.

  • HansmarHansmar Posts: 2,750

    adbc: Nice render.

Drachenlords: Very good render with a message.

  • Spuddy: Beautiful Scene, and well done.

Adbc: Beautiful Scene too. I love the light.

Drachenlords: bright light, but the beginning of a dark Time for the People on the Island.

  • Thank you very much, MelanieL, Horo, NGartplay, Hansmar and Yellow Pen.

Yes, there was certainly nothing to look forward to, but as a viewer of the picture you know that.

The people who first saw these ships at that time might think a little differently.

Spuddy - Excellent scene, and well done.

Adbc- Superb scene, I like the "face" on the hill on the left, was it accidental, nice effect.

Drachenlords - once again an awesome entry, great lighting and shoreline effect.

Finally made my first one. A bit of combination elements from the ideas of Spuddy, Drachenlords and adbc, it appears.

The cave was a free Bryce-scene from Simone83 at Renderosity. It includes the water texture for the plane, the sky and lights inside the cave, as well as the hanging plants (which are actually upside down trees). The people are Genesis2, male and female, with indian tunics by Wilmap's. The canoe was a freebie and the peddle too. The pelican is one of the Hivewire birds and there is a 'shipwake' by spacebones behind the pelican. The starship is a version of Excalibur (from Star Trek), freebie from somewhere.  Because the lights in the cave and the sky/sun led to a rather blue skin and nasty greenish tunic for the indians, I had to exclude the indians and boat from the blueish light. Therefore I added a greyish light at the same spot that only lights those indians in their boat, because otherwise they would be too dark.

The title of my work: "Cloud Atlas".

Hansmar, fantastic composition.  I love the bird taking off and leaving a wake behind.

adbc, I feel cheated.  I don't see a face in the hill :(
