One of Ken's turtles which I got before HIveWire closed shop. His stuff moved to Rendo but I don't know if all of it did or not.  This is also in my book (with a cute twist, not shown.)  So remember this guy :)  I'm using DA Real World Lighting for scenes as it works so well with PS plug-ins (shows good contrast and plug-ins register it well. This is without all the plug-ins and postwork)

I really like that bar. Had to get it! Reminds me of the bar in the Chaplin movie Gold Rush, or an early Hitchcock movie.

    @rakuda  It sure does!

Just to point out Beretta has a spooky scarecrow effect. You wouldn't know it from the main promo. She's in the flash sale.
Headed to get some sleep, note the end time on the flash sale. Glad they are listing it.

Good point. Beretta was one of the few though on that sale, that required to be loaded on another character Honni 8. https://www.daz3d.com/honni-8 Not sure for the morphs?  Honni 8 however does look like a worthwhile Character in her own right.

Anyway, I did get a number of the other characters thanks for the alert. And the new release I bought was the 90's Jelly Shoes for $10, because how cool were Jelly Shoes!!! :)

Speaking of spooky effects I was given a Ring surveiilance system this year, 2021, as a birthday present because spooks have been messing around my house and yard in a threatening manner. I'm pretty happy with it and how easy it was to install. Even better the monthly professional monitoring fee is only $10 a month. I'm happy enough that I am going to expand the number of cameras plus window and door contact monitors until every door and window in my house is monitored. That is 14 contact monitors in total so it adds up to DAZ 3D money real quick. laugh

Did you see the CBS evening news report on how Amazon is sharing your bandwidth with your neighbors, using Ring and Alexa, and there was something about sharing information too. Without your permission? That's only one of the articles, google it and you'll get more details.

Yeah, I got an email several weeks ago from them about it and how to opt-out.

I saw that (not CBS News but the NY Post paper) and don't mind if they do borrow it for the purpose of helping track "Silver Alerts", "Golden Alerts", and "Amber Alerts" as well as tracking criminals as they go through the neighborhood. It's only going to help reveal some of the criminals. I've lost track of all the "Alerts" they have now really, but I don't mind the "Sidewalk" being used in that sort of manner.

I'm sure as far as Amazon the business goes they will use it to help catch customers and delivery drivers that steal packages and then file claims. That doesn't bother me either.

There is a small chance that Sidewalk can be breached by criminals and possibly invade home networks and computers on them. It's not been done yet though. Truth is though the professional government spooks have created software toolkits that are used to breach network and computer security and irresponsibly allowed those toolsets to be distributed in the general public's domain worldwide so I've taken to only having my computer on the internet when I'm sitting at the keyboard. So yes, Ring "Sidewalk" and having internet service, "Sidewalk" or no "Sidewalk" involves personal risk. I use my computer offline more and more.

However, anyway, currently I have no Echos, and all the Ring Video Doorbells aren't eligible for "Sidewalk" is what I think it's called. That said I am also going to add 2 to 3 video surveillance with floodlights cameras from Ring and those are eligible for Ring Sidewalk and I will allow it as I don't use the full 20 - 25mb/s most of the time.

I'm hopeful of when these security systems get so cheap and accurate that all the general public can afford them, although, LOL, if I can afford them then so can the general public as I'm at the bottom of (legal) income tables in the US. $10 a month is very reasonable for professional security monitoring. I'm also going to sign up with the local police department's security monitoring watch program (they watch the feeds, not me) as it's free and they use it to detect illegal activity using my Ring cameras. It's much needed as they'll never be enough budget or people voluteering to be police to stop all the crime going on without those security systems.

Heads up on this one- Magic of Cappadocia I thought it was just hot air balloons but it includes pillows and balcony items. In PC+ for a day

Also note Rory has burn scars, it is shown in the main promo but is a background image. I almost missed that one too.

Ah yes, the hurricane season is underway. Folks in Louisiana look like the target for this first Gulf of Mexico depression which is anticipated to form late Thurs or Fri.

When I lived in the DFW area they have a hot air balloon festival, I guess you'd call it, every year, although I think it's some sort of race. They are very pretty and very big too.

Well, I don't know if anyone is still interested, but the "Miami Beach Art Deco District" set that was here and got pulled, is now available for purchase over at Sharecg's store section. I won't link to it, but it shows up on their carousel right on the main page over there.

Old Manhattan Apartment is only $1.99 if you are a PC Member. Seems like a pretty good set for slightly short of two bucks. I logged out and it was listed for $22.

Thanks for the heads up. I've bought it here but I like that PA's work so follow them at ShareCG now.

Albuquerque has the International Balloon Fiesta, which is supposed to be one of the world's largest -- I guess the southwest has prime conditions for that sort of thing. I hope there's a redo of the PCFAD stuff later on; I missed the Cappadocia set when it was there; even for a dollar or so more, that's something it would be nice to get.

FYI, it looks like the Rock Star Series bundle has one item previously sold at Rendo under the Rockstar Series label (note the spacing tweak) -- the grand piano. The other stuff appears to be unique to Daz. There were other things sold under the Rockstar Series label that either aren't coming or haven't yet arrived here, but which are no longer available at Rendo either. I only noticed because I kept looking at the bundle and thinking, "Don't I have that already?" and checked my purchase history. Honestly, for the price, if you want the other stuff, probably worth getting the piano twice.

EDIT: Actually, all of the Rockstar Series items are here. I didn't realize it because the other items are in the two kitsune bundles, which I didn't pay much attention to. I just finally noticed those items in the Still New sections.

It's definately worth seeing hot air balloons in person when you get the chance. Where i live now has nothing except forests and much heat and steaming humidity. It's great if you like botany and wildlife though.

I almost bought the Rock Star Series bundle today too but found the Grand Piano was one I'd already purchased when it was in the store by the PA that made it and I have a different set of drums already. However, for the stage, stage props, and drum animations I will eventually buy the bundle because I can use all of it since the price is a decent price.

I get really, really annoyed with (in my opinion) misleading product names. There is NOTHING tropical about this chalet. Tropical Chalet   Tacking on two fans doesn't make it tropical. To make it even worse, it's in a forest with trees not associated in any way with "tropics." Looks more like a South Carolina, Tennessee, etc type building- not down South tropical.  Doesn't have tropical colors, and what's with that Old Masters type painting for a tropical home?

For example, I'm Florida and my house has palm trees and exotic birds for decor. Not everyone has tropical decor just because they live in the South, but if you are going to SELL a tropical theme, then you should IMO not do a "run of the mill could be anywhere" type building. A nautical theme or bright floral decor would have done a lot more to make this tropical. Glass windows doesn't make it tropical either, we had a gorgeous home in Connecticut with floor to ceiling glass windows all along the back of the house, just like this one.

And what the heck is with three mattresses thrown on the floor in an expensive chalet???? Are you serious?

S3D Fitness Clothes G8F   would make a cute swimsuit top for young kids. It also has textures, or use kids' shaders.

Tropical Storm Claudette is ramping up the severe thunderstorms, they are approaching Mobile Alabama and some are headed our way in Pensacola (coming up from the Gulf of Mexico.)  I've been letting the dogs in and out all night whenever I could, with rain breaks only about eight minutes here and there. We had ZERO wind, it's supposed to kick in around 10am this morning. Had about three or four inches of rain so far, no big deal.  It's just going to be a good day to stay in or sleep in (if you have a weather radio.)  Anyone in Mississippi or Louisiana who are in Claudette at the moment? Mississippi is getting a lot of rain right now and has a tornado warning.(Pascagoula)

As soon as I saw the weather map on the news @Novica, I thought of you. Stay safe and enjoy the rain. If you can, have Amazon box it up and ship it to the West.

Gosh, I wish I could! We just had a 50mph gust go through at the beach (on Weather Channel) and it knocked over huge potted ferns. Ashley and Jose are doing the horses at the barn as we speak and I am keeping an eye on the radar for them. The barn is closer to the Gulf of Mexico and everything from Tropical Storm Claudette is coming up from there, going south to north and moving west to east. They don't get good internet connection in the barn so I'm their "weathergal" while they're working.

So far, wind has been 15mph mostly gusting, not steady. Supposed to get worse around 10am but I think it will move out before then.

I think it would help their case if they used a more tropical HDRi for the environment in the promo images.

If you haven't opened DIM in a few days, an hour ago I found a new set of packages waiting to update Genesis 8 Starter Essentials. After updating one computer, I compared it, bit by bit to my previous version on the other computer and found a big change with three new skin materials added for G8.1 females and males. Also some poses and wearables moved to Scene Builder from Poses and Wardrobe.

The images for the skins appear to be from G3 core figures.

    @memcneil70  Good to know :)

Just watching Weather Channel, we had a tornado ten minutes from here, and downtown Pensacola also had a tornado they think. Most of Tropical Storm Claudette has moved through this area and we'll have rain/ typical thunderstorms the rest of the day. Heard from the barn, it's really flooding out there. Confirmed by Weather Channel we got at least five inches of rain in a few hours.

Been chatting with some of you, I couldn't believe there weren't any football uniforms for Genesis 8 in the store. I could have sworn there were, but the latest generation for those was- wait for it- GENESIS.  Wow. Yet we keep getting the same things over and over again. Perhaps the uniforms just didn't sell. So I'll ask the question- is there anything that you remember looking for which surprised you by not being available at all, or for the current generation?  I don't think I found baseball uniforms either.
