    I have been using Melody and Micah a bit lately too

    (easier to use in Carrara than the Genesis+ furries)

    not bad in DAZ Studio iray either

    Your right it's a "bit" better than nothing but not by much. It'll only reach a small part of the target demographics of "old timers" and most likely none of the newer crowd.

    The perks of selling through DAZ or Rosity, they handle all the marketing, orders, customer services, etc.

    I'm just stuck in the wrong era of content (and I see no reason to change yet).

     

    This is all just speculation at the moment, but I guess I'll see what happens.

    I don't know how good (or bad) it is, but one can sell products through ShareCG.  You already have a presence there.  Just a thought.

    Don't discard the idea of selling at Rendo. I don't sell anywhere, but my freebies have a lot of take-up there. All told I've had over 300k downloads since I released the first one in July 2020. There is a big audience over there, ready to download the right thing (and doing the right thing is the issue). If you're selling up to the minute stuff, DAZ is probably better than Rendo, but A3/A4 characters aren't really like that. Just my tuppence ha'penny. Regards, Richard.

    I haven't counted 'rosity out but I feel I might need to up my quality some first.

    Being able to offer good Poser and Iray mat settings couldn't hurt either. Anyone know of some good tutorials?

    I was in need of a cute little arctic fox, and while this Melody based one was cute in her own right I find that I'm partial to Krystal, that and when I started trying hair on her I found that the younger looking styles didn't really work with her.

    I've read that you want to sell your stuff, why don't try also on Renderhub or Gumroad, they're growing a lot in this last time.

    Those two are on top of my list.

     

    ..However it has become quite apparent to me that I'm no good at the technical aspects of content creation. Guess I'll just keep pluging away and hope for the best.

    I just "love" doing promo art, raking my brain for image ideas, second guessing my design choices, finding all the crap I somehow missed up to that point...

     

    Also my first Iray render of Melody, she's not even wearing Iray materials just the 3DL ones I've been using for a while now. I did try Iray materials on one mat zone but found they look just about like the 3DL ones so didn't see the point.

    Yeah it's suppose to be an artistic render, but maybe it's too artistic and doesn't focus enough on the "skin" textures?
