...ach what's in a name?
The name of my character, "Leela Groznek" is a variant of Leelo (from the Fifth Element which I was watching at the time while developing the character for a Shadowrun RPG campaign) as liked the character's child like innocence that masked her highly intelligent yet dangerous nature, and Groznik (a background character from the Enterprise series who was the third husband of Dr Phlox's first wife), because the name just sounded eastern European.
Just some blending examples.
About Victoria...
When she was first introduced, she was simply called "The Millenium Woman", and various individuals took to calling her "Millie" for short. Then, and I'm not sure how, shortly before Michael was introduced they decided to name her Victoria. This is NOT because of Victoria's Secret, but actually because, IIRC, it was the name of (then DAZ head) Dan Farr's Girlfriend or wife.
I'm sure she's much prettier than V1, it wouldn't take much. O.o

That's not what I heard from one of the higher tier members (forgot if it was an Admin or DAZ Team) a long while back.

"Higher tier member"? What does that mean? Valandar has been a PA and member here for at least 12 years that I know of, not to mention a very prolific producer of products (not a tongue twister, I promise). I don't know how much higher a tier one can reach than that.
The initial figure was, indeed, called the Millenium Woman, and I do remember people calling her Millie. DAZ changed it to Victoria and there was no connection to Victoria's Secret. The Victoria Secret thing is just another rumor like so many we see.
Edit: Also, to the best of my knowledge, since they just celebrated 20 years of marriage, Dan's wife is Stephanie, though I doubt that was the reason that was another name used for one of the models.
