Morning. Bright sun like melted toffee dripped on rooft and paving and bare branched trees and warmish, for lack of wind, in its dazzling embrace :)

was Mary queen of Scotts actually Scottish? was just thinking prolly not safe to assume.

Bonny Prince Charlie, is that bonny as in bonny lass?

Perhaps he was thin, lanky, and angular, and a misspelling is in play?

found a statue of him. he was a Stuart. vaguely remember reading something about Stuart. a war or something.

Hmmm... funny, he doesn't look like Stewart.

Bonny Prince would have been Charles 3 of England but couldn't get it together enough to have a successful rebellion. His dad was called The Auld Pretender, he was the Young Pretender to the English throne and a descendant of Mary Stuart and her son James I of England who took over when Elizabeth I last of the Tudors died :)

    the same Mary of Scotland?

Same one yes (she would have spoken French) but the Stuarts had a reputation for being stubborn and not real bright - not a winning combination for them  James I ministers had to talk him into busting the gunpowder plot against parliament when it was discovered, he seriously thought about letting parliament get blown up by Guy Fawkes

So while I never told anyone publicly about this - a few weeks back my grandpa got the flu, and if that wasn't bad enough broke his leg in a fall at night just as he was starting to get better. Was in the hospital for a while, and while he's been back for some time now... It's affected a lot of stuff.

On top of that, things have been getting financially tight here where I'm working, and soon... It's going to be closed down. The house will be sold, the school will be moved, and I'll be permanently living in the house I've been staying at on weekdays when not working.

I really, really love this place. Crisp fresh air, the pine and oak trees nearby, and just... Having lived here for 10 years. Ever since my dad died, I've been very reluctant to move around or travel, so I wasn't too thrilled with the new place even if I had super awesome internet over there and a really large room all to myself. While I've gotten over the not wanting to head back after my work weekend is over, it now seems that – as early as next month – all this will be coming to an end.

Whether or not I'll be getting another job as nightwatch depends on a lot of things, but it's very likely I'll be jobless for a while – again. I'll really miss this place, and it just feels... With everything that's been happening these past eight months, like my world's been coming crumbling down around me bit by bit, and now it's ready to just collapse all at once. Really feels like it's “too soon”, but this is one of those few times when I literally am just helpless to do anything about it.

How will things go after the change is anybody's guess, but I've never reacted or adjusted well to change. Especially not such drastic and sudden ones.

I hope things go well for you, Rezca!

    Dana

...well one more day of Net access then I will disappear. As I haven''t received my cheque yet., my service will be shut off at mindnight tomorrow.. I already requested an extension (the original deadline was last week Sunday) so most likely I will not be unable to request a second. I also now will have to pay the full bill amount (not just the last month's charges) as well as a reconnect fee (for someone just to enter a few keystrokes) to get my service restored.

Can't even afford to sit at the corner Starbucks to use their Wi Fi either or even a Megabucks ticket.

Not sure what has is going on as I am getting no replies to my emails and calls.

Basic Net access should be free it has become such a necessity to do anything.

    ..thank you.

Up late (early? as it's 03:05) babysitting a render process and streaming a lot of music I won't be able to listen to for a while. Will have to pay 121USD plus whatever reconnect charges they throw at me.

Hopefully I'll be able to post the image as I still need to insert the characters and run the final render, Just checking making sure everything in the setting looks right. Going on 3hrs 45 min. Will be a lot longer with the characters so I'll be cutting it close.

Yesterday, I started the long, laborious process to up-size the first half of my story to match the new wide screen monitor. I initially wasn't going to do so, because that was over a hundred images and I'm certain I have a number of scenes I accidentally overwrote. But then I got the idea that I needed a prologue. Just a few scenes to give an idea to the viewer about WHY Samuel and Reld are wandering through the dark woods at night. And when I finally finished my prologue, I realized that it would be jarring to go from wide-screen to small screen. So, up-size time.

Surprisingly, it's going faster than I expected. Yesterday, I got 38 scenes up-sized. I have had to do some adjusting of figures, since I have some new poses to more closely match my initial idea and I found one of the overwritten scenes so had to re-work that one. But I'm kinda excited about this project now.

Ask her to look in a mirror and change what she sees to be more to your liking. (No, don't. No need to create more trouble. Just say "Your input is noted." and continue your work unaffected.

Those two escaped prisoners from NY have been spotted less than 75 miles from me along the railroad tracks. The same tracks that run 50 yards past my home where the trains slow down to a crawl to navigate a sharp curve. Keeping doors locked during the day for a while.
