Thanks for your support @benniewoodell!  There are some examples in the promo pics.  Mixing with Karmen 9 and Pixie 9.  She does mix pretty well with others, usually at 50%-75% range.

Of course! I have a ton of your stuff, I'm also picking up the teeth thing today too. I just went and checked out the promo pics you mentioned and they look wonderful as well, I was sold on her regular photo on the sales page honestly as the projects I'm doing are all toon based. I'll keep the 50-75% range too and play around with other characters too. I'm looking forward to seeing what you got coming out in the future!

  • She's adorable and I got her immediately!

Spinning the dials and mixing and matching Maryam with other G9 characters.

The images I posted were the original Maryam as I submitted her (sans textures in any case). Since this was purchased by DAZ they have the right to change it as they see fit. Maybe they will release the orginal shape. She always had the chin dimple, but I made some images without it in early development (I don't know if it is still optional or not).

The texture used here is Helena by Maelwynn:  https://www.daz3d.com/mw-helena-for-genesis-9

Thanks, that's really interesting! I wish you could put the original morph in the store as well, she's really cute. And the Helena texture fits her well. The eyebrows are clearly someone else's though, no? Refreshing to see some less highly groomed and more natural brows! Anyways, a very sweet figure, your Maryam.

  • The renders in this forum thread have officially convinced me to buy Maryam! I love how she looks with the eyes diled down smaller.

The eyebrows I used are the "G9 Eyebrows Fiber Style 01 Thick" included with the G9 Essentials. Thank you! Some really nice images here. :)

  • Just picked her up today, she'll fit perfectly in a project I'm doing!

  • Really puzzling.  So, Daz bought the rights to the character model from the PA, then radically changed the head and/or face?

I'd love to read the reasoning behind this, but I suspect Daz's general opacity (and maybe an NDA) will keep this weirdly mysterious.

Actually they included all the original parts as I understand it. The original face is included after all, they just added extra stuff to create a fuller package which is pretty cool.

Huh? But to me, your Maryam morph looks totally different from the one in the store. Am I getting this wrong somehow?

Oh, and thank you for including the info on the eyebrows!

You're welcome! I think the texture map maybe makes a big difference.  Besides the Helena map, I also used the Nala map with a slightly darker translucency colour, and the G9 Essentials materials

She'd be my favorite too if I could make her look like that.

  • I'm really enjoying how she mixes, she has some nice unique facial features. With a December theme, here's Maryam (Kala mix)

It's happy accidents really... I wanted to see how other model's make-up looked and then I had some hair that I didn't quite like and wondered if it looked good from a different angle with a close crop, then I wanted the light to catch the far eyelash and then before I get bogged down it the detail I hit render.

    Thank you for the comment.

She somehow reminds me of Edie - who might have gained some weight & glamed up

Well i think they both have plenty on character and distinctive noses... You have planted the seed for a glamorous witch portrait in my head.
