So somehting changed in the membership section of my account sometime this evening, however there is still nothing that allows me to upgrade. frown

The top part has always been correct for me: Daz+ and my 2026 expiry date.
It's the three boxes down the bottom that are confusing:
I've got a button in the Daz Base box that lets me cancel membership - But I'm not Daz Base, so why give me that button?
The Daz+ box says "Current Membership" - Plain text no button
The Daz Premier box used to say "Call Support to upgrade", it now says nothing and there's no upgrade option.

On top of all that, where has the option to cancel the auto-renew gone?

The cancel button actually goes with your Daz+ membership. That's the one which cancels auto-renew.

The Genesis 8 AutoFit update should now be live, and the free content. The following DIM filter code should show the items if you have a lot in the ready To Download tab:

...a little confused by this. Are these just free content for the Premiere tier as when I copy/pasted the SKU number in the DIM download,  it's pretty much all G9 items

I also don't see anything labelled Genesis 8 Autofit Update..

There are two other files in the update section: , Genesis 8 Female and Genesis 8 Male Starter Essentials that are dated 09/10/2024  Would that be where the autofit updates are?

Probably someone else already asked this, but I don't have the strenght to search along the whole forum...

If I convert a figure using the Premier tool, I'm allowed to use that converted figure if I don't keep the subscription? Or it will stop working along with the plugin? A more backward compatibility is planned (namely, support for G1 and G2  F/M figures)?

The converted figures will be either saved as sub-set or DSF files... etc. then they'll have nothing to do with the converter plugin anymore, so they can always work without subscritpion.

Have you used this converter yet? If so, does it work well? I can't for the life of me get riversoft's to work right and I'd love to make the characters I have that are G8 for this film I'm doing into G9 as I have much better expression packs for G9. If it works nicely, that might persuade me to swap my seven months or whatever it is for two months of premiere to swap them all over.

Yep ! Again, this converter plugin is just the Figure Converter product from Manfriday (http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/90814/start). There's no big change as far as I test except for a newly-added function of Adjust Rigging in its UI (screenshot 1, which is as same as Adjust Rigging to Shape).

As expected, it works well on converting Head shape when converting G3/G8 to G9 but the issues in specific Body shape cases are still there, especially from G3 - G9. (screenshot 2)  Besides, as usual, the converter won't fix the issues of eye rigging, corrective morphs, expressional distortion... yada yada. You still have to fix them yourselves.

Pls be noted, this converter just uses Fit-Suit method ( Mr. Jay Versluis showed in his tutorials ) only it nearly automates the whole workflow. If you directly use the way of Fit-Suit manually, you even can prevent the above issues from happening ~~ So, it's up to your choice anyway...

Thank you so very much for taking the time to let me know this information! I don't change anything really bodyshape wise, I usually just find a character I have that has the shape I pretty much want, I just need the head shapes to change. And good to know Jay found a way to do it manually, but at this point, I just want something automated. When I started the film I'm doing, the main character I created was G8 since 9 wasn't available at the time (it's been an off and on project haha), and I would just love to transfer him over to G9 and I can't get the Riversoft one to work right. I think this might be worth it for me to swap my remaining months for two of premiere and get this guy to G9. Thanks again!

No problem !  Pls take your time !

Yes, it's an update to the base figures in the starter essentials, not a separate file.

...as I keep seeing comments about about Man Friday plugins being moved to the Premiere tier I went to my Product Library to check on two items I purchased, dForce Companion and dForce Companion 2.0   When I clicked on the image for each the "Oops" page page.popped up which usually means something are no longer available. Were these moved to the Premiere Tier?

I opened the programme clicked to the windows tab and found the pane for the lucing is still active.  To test I added a dForce item to a character and it looks like it is still working (didn't run the sim though).

This leaves me a bit curious, as if I updated to 4.23, will I lose access to these plugins as I am only on the  Daz+ tier and have no interest (onr the budget) for upgrading to .Premiere.

They were not really moved but were recompiled as new plugins. Then the plugin products you ever bought still work as usual. So, you don't have to upgrade to that tier.

Which way does the majority seem to be moving on this? Are most people in favor of it and buying into it? Or is the situation the opposite of that?

Only Daz knows for sure, but I would say the reaction in this thread has been overwhelmingly negative.

Oh thank you. Sometimes though a reaction Goes one way and the behavior goes another. In other words, it might be possible that many people are complaining, and yet are buying into the premier version. I'm wondering how fast people are signing up for this new version. Is it only a few percentage of DAZ Studio Users? Or are a good number, already signed up for the premier version?

from what I gather, existing DAZ+ members stand to lose out if they have a long amount left on their subscriptions

for someone who is a regular member like me or about to have their DAZ+ membership expire, a month to try it out might be worth it

considering what comes up next week, payday I may even grab a single month

We should keep in mind that people who are dissatisfied are more likely to voice their opinions, while those who are satisfied often remain silent.
Especially in a thread like this one, which is dedicated to discussing questions about Premier, those who understand and agree with Daz's explanation of Premier's advantages and disadvantages are unlikely to post here.

Plus, as the forum moderators have explained during previous such events, the forum users may not at all being representative of the DAZ user community. So, any speculations on conversion rates from DAZ+ to Premier are just that - speculations.

Only time will tell, as with previous DAZ experiments. E.g. the priority passes have been introduced as the next big thing, but since it has been a one-time event, it may not have met DAZ expectations. So, if Premier will stay that way, we may consider it as a scuccess story for DAZ. If it will go away it might not have met the expectations. Let's wait and see.

I personally would be less reluctant in upgrading if a) I would have got a decent offer for my remaining DAZ+ months, and b) if there is an annual payment option, preferrably with the option of having a discount during some DAZ sale events.

That would depend on waht they paid - but of course people with a long period remaining in Daz+ probably do so because they picked up discounted memberships, and which means they paid less and so get proportionately fewer free months.

Does Daz have plans to make any Premier plugins available as standalone one-time purchase products? Several products I had marked for future purchases disappeared from the Daz store. These items such as Render Queue were things I saw as extremely helpful for my next more advanced uses of Daz such as queuing renders for many related images for a comic. I think I am convinced that Daz's plan is not to make Daz a subscription software product, but if key advanced features will only be available via subscription, this is still enough to make me pause & evaluate other platforms that might provide these features or just a better overall featureset without a subscription.

If you have the Personalized offer orange banner, you can clink it to learn more about Premier. When you click on it, you get two buttons: one to upgrade to Premier and one to remain Daz +

After a couple of clicks, you get a confirm button and if you click on it, you'll be a Premier member.

If you don't see the orange banner for this, you might find it in your messages.

My guess would be that it was supposed to go in the daz+ membership tile but there's a bug in the page.

  • Can the moderators make a stickied FAQ thread in the forum?  There's way too much speculation that has drowned out legitimate questions or concerns about Premier.

Is there documentation of exactly when this was announced? (archived store page, forum thread?)  I've been looking and can't find a single mention of it anywhere, and the "up to 45* off on the actual token portion of the cart has definately never had an asterisk indicating that there was any variance in how discounts were applied.  As someone who's a heavy token user, I'm rather stunned to find that I've been effectively throwing away a good portion of my tokens' value.

What I could find is that tokens were reintroduced with the new discount system on January the 18th. Here is one post mentioning it. There has been no change in discounts since then.

Morning. I am trying to upgrade to Premiere, but there is no button to allow it. I had the Plus on a yearly subscription and I just cancelled it thinking that is what is not allowing me to upgrade. Can I get some help to figure out what i am doing wrong?

Hey guys just a heads up but there is now an announcement thread with answers to Premier questions all in one place! If you have other questions regarding the Premier please post them there and we will get answers for you as soon as possible!

Thank you DAZ for the Freebies, I plan to stick with my current membership for a while.

That said, I find it interesting that some folks here have an easy way to renew, but I ~ along with others I have read here in the thread ~ do not, and I have not found addressed here--unless I missed something?  I am just waiting to click "auto renew" on my current membership, since it expires in a few weeks, After I do that, does it then give me an opportunity to upgrade if I wanted to try it out?

I guess I am confused as to why there is a way ~ for some folks to choose to upgrade ~ and have done so successfully ~ and others have no way to upgrade.  I don't see this issue addressed here in the forums as well as the ticket I put in.  I apologize if pointing this out upsets anyone at DAZ, (I realize you are working hard to address everything) however, it just doesn't make any sense.

Below is what happens with my orange banner, I tried other browsers and it all looks the same. (I am using a Chromium based browser-Brave)
