...maybe we need a "Zombie Holiday" sale.
Shhhh.... don't give them ideas.
Where are you seeing that '20% off 100' offer?
It was on a zombified holiday page, which was prompty burned out of existence by the anti-zombie team on watch at Daz.
None of the offers on that page were ever active today (they were from the 21st of December).
Glad I made one last purchase under the Holiday sale last night. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the Agaent Jones outfit had it debuted during the Holiday sale.
who is the attractive male character/figure on today's sales page? https://cdn.daz3d.com/file/dazcdn/media/sale-promo/2025/january/0103/section-1-a-fix.jpg
Looks like the party's over.
Yes, I got used to having the 3 punch card discount. It's a bit of a shock to no longer have that discount.
Yep. It was real sticker shock to wake up to shopping without punches. I guess I'll have to save my credit for awhile and maybe do some rendering instead.
the punches were a real hit this morning. Losing the extra 40% is a huge whack. At least the 50% off 5 wishlist items is great, but having to buy a new release from a group I don't want, makes that a no go. Then I just looked at my Wishlist and NONE of the items, other than a couple new ones, which are 30% off, have any discount at all so that leaves the discount at 50%, which I will not buy at that discount. So I save my cash today. Yeah, the partys over.

That's my plan. There's a few items on my WL still in the $5-8 range but Ive shopped enough that I don't feel any interest in buying more right now. And SO uninterested in today's new releases.
Seriously, yet another young, dainty Asian girl figure? I predict that at some point in 2025 the Daz store will have equal numbers of young Asian & white girl figures. And a whole package of fit morphs just for boots? Come on, I might be interested if it was to help fit boots with any pants, but for one outfit's pants...that looks like at least one other outfit I already own and updated. Nope on both counts.
Yup. Now it's time for the sales hangover.
Which, I suppose, isn't a bad thing as I'm planning to drastically lower my spending and not be tempted. Sure, there are a lot of things I would get just because they're nice, but between the price increase and introducing Premier (I feel that since they earn tokens twice as much as everyone before, the sales' discount have to account for it), I feel like this hobby is getting a little bit too expensive. In the past, I could get a Daz+ item on release for under $3 (closer to $2 when I put both in the cart). Now it's over $4, and at that stage, I'm more likely to pass on an item I don't need rather than go, "sure, why not? it's only a few bucks." Same for new releases. When they were $7-10 and offered discounts on other stuff, it was tempting. When they start mostly well over $10, even 50% off wishlist items doesn't seem to be an incentive enough.
And as an author who sells books, I understand all too well that artists have to eat. But, well, I have to eat too.
No, I finally found peace, now I'm going to do some renderings, make some money, and wait for the next sale (preferably in a few months)
Seems I got lucky with using my $ 10.- off coupon right on the 1st of Jan, with punches and high % off for the stuff I wanted. Now I can wait patiently 'til the 23rd - when my Premier runs off - for a Bundle Offer that suits my needs. And, if a really, really, REALLY good sale comes around, I even might use that 10 off $ 25.- coupon I got left. Or not. I'll see what comes my way...
So... yeah, that one month Premier for $ 18.95 did was worth it... with all the extra sales at the same time. Might get tempted to do it again for one of the big sale events...

I used both coupons Jan 1, no regrets at all! Made out like a bandit, actually. Agree with you about the bundle and the waiting.
So true!
With the structure of the holiday sale, the Pays 4 Itself promo for a one month sub of Premier was totally worth it! What I got for what I spent was remarkable. I would like to see Daz go back to annual subscription and discounts, but that's up to Daz. I can see why the current deal suits them..As it is, I'll likely be back to Premier for March Madess. Once the the last one got going, it was great! But if you have a lot of Daz+ left, you're still better off enjoying that. The $10 off $25 coupon gives a greater discount, but it also requires greater spending. The extra tokens are nice - I actually finally leveraged tokens. But I had to spend a little more to get as many tokens as I wanted. Tokens are another game. Yes, accruing more of them is a benefit. It's also a hassle. Look: I'm 3 cents short of getting another token. Happened a lot. Cart Jenga ensued. That changed and/or increased my purchase, too.
I do see how individual items are more expensive and packaged for maximum cost. I look at https://www.daz3d.com/sylvia-9-forest-skin as the perfect example. It's one texture skin! Up 'til now, that would bave been included with the figure. It's not even in any bundle! At least it'll be on sale for pennies at some point. But that's the irony of it all. Daz does stuff that makes things more expensive, and then makes them available for next to nothing at a later date. All one must do is be patient and buy at the right time. And jump through a few hoops...
Now I'm hoping for something decently priced on Monday and Tuesday where I can double my tokens for less. I kind of screwed up the end of sale deals, but we have been traveling so trying to use a phone to figure things out just was not happening. I'm not seeing how so many people only use a phone to do their computer work. A laptop might be OK. DAZ Deals is my savior when it comes to figuring out sales, WL items, and so forth. It just does not work on my phone for whatever reason.
I have screwed more things up with my phone. Part of it is me- my fingers and touch screens don't get along. My travels overlapped the two sales this past fall; I was able to enjoy the Holiday sale much more because I'm at home with my desktop PC.
I'm already missing the sale. My social life has been pretty limited lately due to being on crutches after fracturing seven bones in my foot (don't ask..) Shopping at Daz, which can sometimes be stressful, feels more like a soothing meditation lately lol. Calmly looking through all the promos, figuring out the best sale prices has felt like a fun game, putting tons of stuff in my wishlist for when they go on deep.sale and really admiring the artistry in some of the PAs promos (Linday and Vyktoria could be designing for high end magazines AFAIAC!) Going through the promos and the forums on my iPad, lying in bed with my cat feels so relaxing and even comforting. Or maybe it's the Norco lol.
Called it!!
Indeed you did! Though I think the discount structure will be a bit less favorable than last weekend.
...not a true "Ketchup Sale" as to get the extra discounts in the Holiday New Release, Holidaz and Holiday Artist "Flashback" sales requires a buy-in from the list of "New Me" Releases above..
So it's pretty much a "run of the mill" Daz sale in that respect. The only PA stores with a discount that don't require a buy-in are the few that are listed near the bottom of the page
...so nothing to get excited about
As to the Holiday Sale I made some pretty decent scores myself. and got a lot of nice items (mostly from my wishlist) off the calendar wither for free or for 2.99$
Hopefully MM will be as good this last sale as that is the last big Daz event before my Daz+ annual membership expires in early July. .
Missing the Punches feels.... well... like a punch to the gut lol.
Thats the weird thing with the Daz StoreGames, when you lose the 'perk' suddenly everything is much more and you lose the incentive to buy, I lost mine a couple of days before the end of the sale, since then have spent $0
Not surprised this weekend is just a run of the mill catch up sale (with everything costing more than the other week)
Punches got a bit tiresome in the end. I mean, there's only so many items that one can get to end with only spending $ 1.01, especially when in the end it's not sure that for the maybe one or two products one might really want the punches will really make enough of a difference
thanks a lot! ^^ - he looked way better on that sales banner than the detailed promos tho.. that's why i hadn't wishlisted or even considered him. but thx anyway ^^
I'm glad you got something good out of it. I still have 5 months of Daz+ left, and the discount coupons alone make it not worth it to switch to Premier.
Me too. I wouldn't even mind an annual subscription at the current prices (though something like "buy 12 months, get 1 month off" that other companies do would be nice). I just don't want to pay monthly. $120 one-time for a year when I know I can afford it is both much better to me and to Daz (because I pay for 12 months upfront rather than each month deciding sales aren't good enough to subscribe).
Premier definitely has its advantages, but it's too pricey for me, especially on regular basis. Once I'm done with my Daz+ membership, I'll likely be getting it only on Big Sales months, and that's not even guaranteed. Once you're off the addiction of buying regularly and move on to actually rendering, it's less incentive to get back onto the spending wheel. And I'm already a person who's more likely to wishlist than buy.
Yeah. If you wait long enough, you'll likely get most of the stuff you want for what you're willing to pay for those items, but with the price increase and promos adjusted for the levels of earning tokens by Premier members, it'll definitely get harder.
I remember someone mentioning jokingly that a 50% off sale on other sites is good for everyone while here everyone complains when it's 70%. Well, I get some wishlist notifications from other sites, and the 50% off there is usually cheaper than 70% on Daz. If they continue rising prices (and doing other unappealing things), I might finally break and start shopping elsewhere rather than on Daz.
