Conversely, I bet if you stood still long enough by the side of the road, any passing bus would probably stop just on the off chance...

...not really, I've had buses and streetcars just go past while I and others were waiting at the marked designated stop.

However, at Disneyland, a freind and I would just stand at some random place near an attraction and within about 10 minutes or so there'd be a queue behind us. We'd leave and come back later to find the queue was longer.

...ugh the type as you go spell checking crapped out again.  This site softare is most definitely not an improvement.

There's a rumor going 'round that when you enter Disney parks, the turnstiles that you go though are actually brain programming devices that saturate your brain with the command "You will stand in lines and like it!" and "You will gladly pay for very overpriced cheap, poorly cooked fastfood and like it!".

I got an eye exam today.   They dialated my eyes so it is hard to see right now.  I can see but it is hard to read actually.  It is all the fine details that are hard for me right now.

I put some betta pellets into Edward's tank and he assumed that they were food and he ate the pellets.   I did not tell him why I put it into his water.

I set up a box to collect can tops for kids to bring into school to help off-set the cost of cancer treatments for families in my state and in crayon font I wrote "help cure something that sucks" and when I came into work today someone threw it in the garbage.

If I find out who and kick them into an open elevator shaft and holler down "have a blessed day." is it still a crime?

Pull tabs from cans have no special value, only the aluminum itself. Collect the entire cans, turn them in to a recycling center for the current value of the metal, then donate that money to your chosen charity.

I read the snopes article, the corporation sponsoring the initiative was mentioned in the article as one of the two that actually give the recycle value of the can for the top.

The issue here is I used the word "suck" in an environment that challenged the judgmental and pious simpletons who think liberties should be exclusive to a particular group who think as they do. I don't hope they get cancer, but I would be happy if a highly caffeinated wolverine scurried up their pants legs

    ...OK this is scary.

Was doing some test renders this afternoon.  When I cancelled the last one because the lighting didn't look quite right, the programme went into "not responding" mode after which I got a BSOD.  Let it rebooted then shut down clean to do a clean start afterwards when I got a notice "Installing Update 1 of 1".  Now I should not have seen this as I turned updating completely off on Saturday due to change MS made to the W7/8.1 update policy that begins this month.

I just restarted the system after it shut down and all I got is the 'Starting Windows" screen for about ten minutes and the HDD light on steady as if something large was loading There was then a message that said something about "Registry Update 52" and finally the login screen appeared. For a moment I thought somehow MS slipped a fast one on me and tried to install W10 (it happened to someone I know last week where they booted up their W7 system to find it had W10 instead).

After I restarted I ran a cleaner utility and noticed that one of the files listed had the Win 10 logo ("Windows MS Search").  Never saw this before.

Whatever this unknown update was, things seem to be running much slower than before, including opening up the Daz Programme.  At least the file I was working on wasn't corrupted (which has happened in the past if it blue screened while a scene file was open).

...if I don't have a connection, I cannot download useful updates like GPU drivers as well as ones for my anti malware and AV utilities. I also use the DIM for download/installs as well as keeping up on updates to content and being able to evaluate beta releases (which can only be installed through the DIM) . Other than those purposes I don't use it for general online activity.  Again I had Windows updating turned completely off.  The only time an update message appears when shutting down or booting up is when the update comes directly from MS so I don't know how whatever that update was got through.

Starting to cop some tropical storms here, can't believe how much it rained I guess it would be hotter if it weren't so cloudy :)
