i ate a banana and ice cream 4 nights in a row.
not the same bananana, 4 different bananas.
dunno what i was expecting after 4 days, but it didn't happen.

    My replacement sofa just arrived...

I have a lot of sofa throw pillows now....

We bought a sofa, and after a year the arm broke... So we called up the place we got it from and they sent someone over to tell us, "yeah, the arm is broken"...

So the sent us a replacement.

We got to keep the throw pillows.

But a week later the part where the leg connects broke... So they sent a guy over to tell us, "yeah... It's broken"...

So they sent us a replacement.

Unfortunately, it was shipped with an angry Grizzly bear and arrived somewhat ripped...

So they took that one back and sent us a replacement.

The replacement never arrived, but an empty truck showed up to pick up the broken sofa... Normally they pick up and deliver at once.

The sofa guy said there was no invisible sofa inside the truck for us.

We said "thank you, but we would like to keep the broken sofa until you sort this out"...

    We sorted it out.

The new sofa arrived today... No grizzly bears handled it.

We got to keep the throw pillows.

We have a lot of throw pillows.

Are you sure they are ordinary pillows? I mean, the whole thing could be a plot by cannibal pillows to infiltrate your house in small groups until they are ready to strike. Did the broken arm or leg piece show signs of having been gnawed by pillows?

Hmm... Good call... They don't seem to be cannibalistic though... A tad bit carnivorous perhaps...

But not at all cannibalistic... Actually, they get along quite well with each other... Mostly...

The big ones in the back are completely harmless... But they are really annoying with the licking.

You have to eat the bananas for six nights... Then the banana gnomes come... If you have pleased them, they will grant you three wishes.

The problem is they make you sign a long legal document with lots of fine print and in the end they take your spleen and all you get is a huge bag of damp straw... It's really not worth it if you don't love damp straw.

What you really need to do is eat a mango every other night for eight days and then on the final night the mango pixies will come... They will rock your world... Both metaphorically and with real rocks... The last part hurts and you get a lot of bruises... Actually it's the same with the first part too, but you tend not to mind it as much... But at least you get to keep your spleen and don't have damp straw everywhere.

...sun poking it's nose out from time to time today.  Lull in the rain, tempting me to possibly make a quick Friday grocery run.  Tomorrows' forecast shows even a lower chance of airborne water, but Caturdays at the market where I shop are nuts.

with the desi arnez orchestra (showband?) there are a few clips of that with all kinds of weird music to it but meh too tired to look for them :(

Spent today with ppl left homeless by the storms then came back to the city and there are fireworks, bands, parties: seems incongrous. That is my complaint nao

I'm feeling better now, thanks.  I saw that lace dress that I wanted at an online store.  Unfortunately, the dress is no long on sale.  Just my luck.

...Caturday and surprisingly sunny today after last night.

Got totally fooled yesterday afternoon as it was nice and balmy with the sun was peeking out now and then.  While I was sitting at the pub with the "crew" I looked up and saw what appeared to be a midwest-like thunderstorm moving in rapidly (one of the friends I was talking with is originally from Iowa so we both knew what was about to happen)  I kind of motioned to the others that it might be tie to take cover.  Got up amd retreated inside just in time before the air turned to liquid for several minutes. The clouds looked ominous as if they could spawn a tornado (we had a couple last weekend on the coast) though the sky wasn't the characteristic "green" like we'd see back home.  No lightning or thunder either, just buckets of rain.

After the rain let up, went to do my marketing, When I got out, ended up getting caught in a drenching downpour two thirds of the way home.  Had to walk in the middle of the street in some places as sidewalks were flooded (fortunately encountered no traffic on the backstreets). Shoes are still wet this morning.

Morning. Gloomy grey overcast giving up some light rain and a thick river fog to blur the difference between earth and sky so far this gloomy Sunday morning :)
