Rock Crevice Shoreline looks really good. Everything merges together nicely and with all that flat surface, it gives a lot of options for character placement and for characters to step/climb to the next higher rock surface.

Made a flythrough video for this Rock-Crevice-Shoreline.  Will be both 3DL and Iray.

Looks nice as always:) Tks for supporting 3DL, much appreciatedyes

A humble suggestion...would be very nice with some ripple morphs so the water could be animated...wink

Thank you all for the positive comments. I see it as a transition scene between some of the other sets to help with storytelling continuity. I posted it here when I submitted it to QA testing so it would be difficult to add features at this point.  I do like making these animated flythroughs,  offers better views of the nook and crannies of the set better than a bunch of static promo images can.  Just as some information,  each frame rendered for only a minute and a half. Admittedly its a bit grainy but provides a good idea of what to expect with the set.

Quick note  It passed testing, and hopefully should be releasing soon.

thanks for the heads-up, FirstBastion.  i hadn't noticed that the marina was one of your sets, so i'd totally skimmed past it.

This is in my cart now. :)    My only critique is that the surrounding area seems really bleak and barren for a waterside setting, but hopefully it can be either hidden or replaced to put the rest of the set into a variety of different settings.

And, as I keep wondering, what ever happened to the Fire Station?

Great job! Finally something out of the ordinary. Thanks for all the great details. May I please see a render that shows the full extent of the road? I won't be able to make my purchase until next week, but I'd like to start planning now.

The road extends just a little beyond the buildings. I added it mainly to have the bridge on the water to add some visual variety and a section for the parking lot. This bird's eye angle gives an overall view. The background hills do continue further to offer a horizon.

The hills are individual props and instances, so you can remove them easily or hide them,  or ultra scatter you're own vegetation if you want to change it up.  They will also accept any seamless texture that is 4096x4096 at the current scaling,  or adjust as necessary.

Thanks so much, FB, for the video & info. It looks like a great scene for interesting things to happen.

  • Made a Waterfall. Technically its a remake of the original Hidden Waterfalls I built in 2010. There is an Upper Falls showing up eventually.

As usual, this environment looks amazing! I'm wishlisting it for the time when price and budget align.

I have The Hidden Waterfalls, so I'm really curious how the new set compares to the old one, beyond the Iray presets and instancing. The older set holds up well in Iray, for the most part, but the water and waterfall will definitely benefit from the remake. I consider this set, and the Upper Falls, when available, to be must haves for my runtime!

I borrowed the name. It's a remake not an update. Its an improvement from the old version  Has the basic shape of the original lower area of the falls,  but the river extends further downstream and partially upstream. The old had a very basic thin polygon waterfall,  whereas now it's a full flowing model of rushing water of a plunge falls. The river flow also has uneven surfaces of moving water whereas the old was little more than flat polygons. All the vegetations and rocks are new additions too. Lots of modelling and there's also some decent texturing.

  •  While I assume it's possible from what I read, just to make sure. The vegetation can be hidden/removed so I can replace it with something more tropical looking?

You're welcome. I'll continue to support 3DL folks if theres an ask for it.

You can certaionly hide or remove the vegetation. Many of them are instances. You can easily replace them with something tropical if you choose.

Or, they could refer to the fast food joint as Tennessee Fried Chicken.

The set looks so nice, nonetheless - with a cost of ten dollars until tomorrow as of this post, definitely worth buying.

Saw a Tennesee Fried Chicken in England a while back.

    was it this one

Just the main set. You can use HDRI with it. So if you have a night sky,  I did emmissive some of the lights.
