You might want to take another look at the color of the yolk. It's not pure white. It's more like a peach-cream color.

It's a good first attempt. Madison is right about the color, but I'm sure that you'll tighten up the details as you further refine it.

Tales from the Mirror Universe -The Past Re-Discovered is up

    http://pdsmith.deviantart.com/art/Tales-from-the-Mirror-Universe-Past-Re-Discovered-364138067?ga_submit_new=10:1365364884

or the link directly to the book

    http://www.deviantart.com/download/364138067/the_past_re_discovered_by_pdsmith-d60sqqb.pdf

This is book five of a thirteen part series.

This issue and the next issue have been and will be rendered in LuxRender.

After that is to be seen and considered on a case by case basis.

Feed back is encouraged and suggested, especially criticisms. I have very thick skin. Please note me privately for the criticisms and keep in mind there will be no reprisals for such. Either here or at DA. http://pdsmith.deviantart.com/

To get better...there needs to be criticism not just accolades.

We always felt the same way at Hidden Frontier, Paul. "You suck!" and "That was awesome!" are equally devoid of useful information. But "You have a green halo from the green screen and your makeup seams are showing" is a goldmine.

Looks pretty close. You might want to create bump or displacement maps for the additional layers of texturing.

Congratulations! This stuff ain't easy, even though some people in here manage to make it LOOK easy.

Paul, sent you a PM over at DA, But I'll post the same here incase someone else can help, too. Downloaded and installed Luxrender. Bought and installed Reality 3. Reality is supposed to show up at the bottom of Poser 9's render drop down menu. It's not. Looking at Poser, there's no indication Reality 3 even exists. Anyone have any ideas?

Played around with Sculptris and made my version of the "pale" Martians. I think it came out pretty good.

Sorry, in this case I'm a going to have to fall back and say I'm a DAZ user and can't help with the plugin from Poser to LuxRender. Just a heads up it's kind of obvious DAZ and Paolo had a falling out which is why you don't see his product for sale here.

That being said if you need help with Luxrender settings and suggestions, I'll do what I can to help, but only in a Trek based setting.

You mean, you won't help unless both of you are sitting in Engineering at the time? [grin]

Paolo hasn't forgotten Daz, though, as there will be a Daz Studio version of Reality 3 next. FWIW.

There anything Trek for Krystal, in both the male and female forms?
I want to make some Furry style Trek images, so I figure why not ask? :)

It's the JJ Abrums Enterprise Bridge, hopefully in time for the movie.

I was never able to visualise the actual shape of the JJ-prise bridge from the camera angles they used, so to me it's just "looks good, like to see where this one's going".

Vanishing Point has released a new medical. Looks to be a Voyager Medical. But there are problems.

    The Doors.

Every door (but Door 5) doesn't work as required.

I have every Bridge, and the engineering and the doors work in DAZ. Not this time. They don't open properly. It's as if the geometry holds the door at one point or one side of the door and stretches the door when you try to open it.

The set is fantastic over all. it's just the doors that don't work.

The set converts to LuxRender very well (but for speed of render I used 3Delight)

    Enjoy the eye candy.

When I've seen this in other models, it's usually been the moving parts having the Bend parameter switched to "on".

I like the look of this, I'll wait until it shows up at Renderosity.

BTW, has anyone done D|S settings for these sets? They look great in D|S apart from the lack of proper lighting sets and materials that absolutely must have Poser Material Room procedurals.

These are all posed and rendered in DAZ. It's all I use. I just turned the gloss and specular settings down for the entire set. As for bump maps I only touched up the floor and beds since if I recall in the show everything was smooth and such. as for lighting they are my own custom make up as I went along.

I'll 'Stash' my lights over at DA for anyone who has the set and wants them.

*** Update I tried the bend option....still no go. Every door but door5 is dead.

I'd love to hear if any of the poser users have the same problem. Last I checked poser and daz handled things differently but nothing like this.

The image...I had too. sorry. (well not really!)

Some one call for a Doctor?

Make sure it's in your Python add-on's folder. I originally added it to the top-level Python folder...that didn't work. :o

I just had the opportunity to play with the set but unlike Paul I haven rendered anything yet I am currently playing with Reality so the sickbay has taken a backseat for the moment, but I did notice that door 1 the first door to the Doctors office was locked and I had to go in and uncheck the forced limits to get it to work. However if I click the body the door works. Just a little niggly for the most part but was kind of surprised to see it since all of his other sets are so perfect. all in all I highly recommend this set! It is the best representation of the Voyager sickbay I have seen.
