You're welcome, Madison. I wonder if re-texturing the First Contact boots I made might meet your needs. If so, I grant full rights to non-profit re-distribution of the boots. (I made them with Phil Cooke's Shoe Designer, then hauled them into Argile for tweaking and texturing.)

Are those in the freebie list?

I don't know. The First Contact suit used to be at ShareCG, but it's not there anymore. If you don't already have it, I suspect I can pass it along.

Fesstatorius was born on the planet that the Federation designated "Wyvern". The planet of Wyvern was not the most hospitable planet in the galaxy. It consisted of deep valleys of freezing mists, high spires of craggy rocks, volcanic ranges of mountains, and an arid atmosphere filled with the smell of sulfur. This environment created the inhabitants of this planet, also called Wyverns. The Wyverns were a race of highly intelligent, highly evolved winged dragons. And to the Wyvern flight was everything.

Fesstatorius was the son of the Ahtuhr, the Prefect of Wyvern. During a time of political unrest, extremists threatened to topple the Ahtuhr and sever all ties with the Federation. The Ahtuhr asked the Federation for assistance, and the Federation responded by sending the U.S.S. Vancouver, then under command of Captain Stellan Norstrom.

During this time, the Ahtuhr's family was taken hostage by the extremists. Norstrom led a successful rescue mission, however, during the escape, one of the extremists cut off Fesstatorius's wings. Heatbroken, the Ahtuhr asked Norstrom to take Fesstatorius from Wyvern. For a people to whom flight was everything, a Wyvern without wings was less than nothing. Fesstatorius would become a pariah to his people. Norstrom reluctantly agreed to take Fesstatorius.

Norstrom gave Fesstatorius a new purpose in life. If he could no longer soar through the skies of Wyvern, he could still soar through the stars of space. Norstrom sponsored Fesstatorius, allowing him to enter Starfleet Acadamy.

Years later, Fesstatorius was more than happy to rejoin Captain Norstrom aboard the U.S.S. Invictus.

Okay I said I'd post some hints and looks at the up coming graphic novel.

The entire book is rendered..or going to be rendered in Luxrender. (no don't ask me about Luxus...I'm using the Cadillac...not the Edsel of exports to LuxRender.)

That being said, I'm down to 9 images left. but at 18 hours render time a piece it's still going to be a while to release.

so here goes Frames 9 and 10.

    Hope you like it.

Finally had a moment to look at this spacesuit from Foundation 3D and it's a mess. I don't know if it is i Lightwave, but in POser the textures are all messed up. To get the visor's texture, youn have you have to select "Helmet detail gloves". Never mind the fact that there's a body attached! how do you use it for your characters when someone else is already wearing it?

The EVA Suit was built in Lightwave from 5 years ago (wow that long ago). it never got passed the WIP status, sadly. I never got back to it.

i have dowmloaded the file from sharecg like 20 times now and every time i try to extract it i get a warning the file is corupted .
has anyone else gotten that too .
i love the work mylochka does on her skin textures and really waould love to have these as well

In FF use the, I think it's called "Down Them All" plugin. Puts an option into the right-click menu to do the download with one click. The beauty of it is that it restarts the downloads and immediately lets one know if the file is good or not. If not good, one can via the dialogue box, restart the download! Great for use on sharecg.com. But NOT on most 'store' downloads in your accounts. It'll zap out your download tries to '0'.

Starship captains had a standard joke regarding operations officers: "If you can't get an android, get a Vulcan!" And like most jokes, there was at least a grain of truth to it. Operation officers were responsible for not only the day-to-day operations of the ship, but, for almost every operation that happened onboard and offboard the ship. The bigger or more complex the ship, the better the operations officer the ship's captain needed. Thus, good and experienced operations officers were worth their weight in gold-pressed latinum.

Which became problem number one for Captain Stellan Norstrom after assuming command of the U.S.S. Invictus. The Invictus was not only very large, she was also very complex. Norstrom quickly found out that experienced operation officers were not to be found. He went to "Plan B".

Norstrom scoured Starfleet personnel and Academy records, looking for a candidate with the potential to be a good operations officer. After a few hundred hours, Norstrom found his candidate: Lieutenant T'Prae.

T'Prae was serving as a junior officer aboard the U.S.S. Quasar. A fact which was fortuitous for Captain Norstrom, as Lt. Cmdr. Threlven was also serving aboard the Quasar. And had been serving there for at least a year. Which meant that the Quasar's captain, Geoffrey Littlefield, was probably desperate to transfer Threlven as soon as he could. After some negotiations, both Threlven and T'Prae (along with a shuttlecraft, a rare Ferengi ear cleaning device, and a very, very old bottle of scotch) were transferred to the Invictus.

As a Vulcan, T'Prae is not pleased to be serving aboard what is essentially a "warship". Logically though, she recognizes that Norstrom has valid arguments to deny her a transfer off the Invictus.

I need some opinions please. I have 2 concepts for an alien race that appears in the story that I'm currently working on. The race is called the Erazi and they are a miltant, xenophobic race and protect their borders from anybody no matter the reason. Could you help me out and comment as to which concept fits the description? Clothing will be decided later. Thanks!

I like the one on the right, more. It's less humanoid and seems more menacing.

Prefer the head of the one on the left and the body of the one on the right

I'm with Robert: left head, right body. But hang on to the other head, you might want it for another alien someday.

  • edited December 1969

Like Robert and Thalek, I also prefer the alien head on the left. As a side note, the alien on the right brings to mind the Turian race from the Mass Effect games.

Gotto go with the majority here. Head on the left, body on the right.

The left one would have to be altered a bit so it would be convincingly the same 'type.' Just nudged here and there so the musculature and skin fit over a similar skeleton.

I have to agree with the majority thus far, left head on the right body if possible.

I am with these guys go with the head on the left on the body on the right or do something similar to the left heads body. Both are great morphs and should be used like Bluto suggests but the left body is in need of some work.

    NIIICE!

The body on the left does look way too humanoid, but either head on the right-side body would make a fantastic-looking alien. My suggestion would to have the other fellow (on the left-side body) in reserve of your story as the reason the Erazi are so xenophobic--

On a separate note, I'm looking for something to use in a project I'm working on, and it'd be really helpful to me if it were possible for me to get ahold of your fellows. Are they Genesis? How did you make them? Are you going to release them someday?? DAZSoon??? As a freebie???? :cheese:
